It's like the 'banana' of book titles where is it supposed to end really

Two things! First of all, I was having a bad day and then I got home and talked 2 my cute friends and ate sorbet and watched YouTube and put on this Animorphs fan playlist I found six months ago and now things aaaaaaaare great. I learned from this that life is actually pretty good when you focus on the small things, or at least the right small things, because some small things are depressing. However, small things can also be great, especially when you're in junior year and all the large things are slowly falling apart around you!

Second, I've been getting a few new readers... okay, more like returning old readers, although I'd love new readers QvQ... recently and a few people (old and new) have commented that they're not entirely sure who the characters are. I make these chapters primarily not as a show of my art, which is mediocre at best, but rather as a means of showcasing my characters/stories at the time. Likely their stories are up on my profile, which would give you context for the art, but I do sometimes do doodles for auxiliary (no story yet) or deep lore (no story) characters. If you comment where you're confused, I'd be happy to explain things or redirect you to the book the characters come from! A lot of characters are introduced in my earlier art book but that's a clusterfuck and you should by no means feel obligated to look at it. 

That said the Amalgams are REALLY old characters of mine, and by that, I mean they're two, so beginning of high school. I have characters who are actually older in real life than they are in their books at this point (Rena is 11~) but that's just because I revise everything instead of letting go ever because I have abandonment issues. That's a tangent. Point being their book's going up in December, maybe, probably.

This is a line-art only Kali but she's very relaxed in-book... externally chill. On the inside though she ranges from pretentious to misanthropic (I mean they're not human but she hates humans too) and so this is more or less her continuous inner monologue 

Red's true form. They're all shapeshifters who stay in their human form most of the time but they can go animal as well and then they have these "true" forms everyone unlocks one by one across the book. This is kind of a spoiler but to be honest there's no way you don't already know about it if you've ever browsed my books and also

anyways Red's is the most human because Red is allegedly the most human. I mean he's paranoid, a little manipulative, and potentially suicidal so the others insisting he's "most human" out of the group is of debatable merit. Then again they don't know some pretty crucial details about his character (he can turn back time up to twenty four hours, which he uses to perpetually save all of them from dying, hence the paranoia--he's seen ALL of them kill each other before). They just think he's powerless and honestly a little dorky, though his poor self-esteem and inflexibility also prevent him from shapeshifting. Essentially shapeshifting requires a fluid sense of self, otherwise you take on too much of the form you enter and can't exit it, and Red figures this out and it scares him so much that he never actually attempts it. This sets him apart from the group. If he wasn't such a competent leader he would legitimately be an outcast.

and that's Kali and Red. Just this conversation alone is spoilers. They hate each other. With Kali, it's to the point of attempted murder, and she's the only one who knows Red's secret. Kali loves that Red's true form is an utter failure of his body to mutate into anything feasible of fighting and a manifestation of his poor self esteem because Kali's true form is a badass skull snake who blazes purple fire because Kali is badass and will fuck you up. The two of them don't get along during the book. Or after.

Homestuck shipping is the only way to ship your characters. I homestuck ship real people. I wish I could homestuck ship myself but then four people would have to want to be around me for sustained amounts of time. The fact that I homestuck ship people is probably in direct correlation with my inability to find people who would like to be around me long enough to get homestuck shipped with me.

I kind of ship all three of them especially after Adamegevan became a thing in one book but this would be the most dysfunctional codependent relationship ever just by adding Kali to this perfectly healthy couple. smh someone has to love Kali tho because Elle is the worst 

Planetary (Go!) by MCR is a great Damien song even tho Damien has no confidence or really anything. he's an egg with dreams. protecc him

not even canon but i love making amalgams for my other characters so there's will and megan's TA forms anyways. adam and will have all sorts of creepy lore attached to theirs because cherubim make me deeply uncomfortable

Elle is really fun to draw but I keep changing her design. I think I finally like this one because not only is she beautiful but she also doesn't care about you and I can't think of anything more Elle than that
