I was beyond bothered right now, I was fuming.
Right when I decided that I would go over and introduce myself to you, which first included a 30 second talk of reassurance to myself, my feet take the first step only to stop right there. A sly looking, buff guy emerged out of nowhere and was now standing before you, where I should've been, and was talking to you. He was taller than me and completely blocked my view of you. He also looked like a person who could easily take me out with one punch but I hoped that the looks that I was sending his way would somehow burn into his head and melt his brain. One could say that I had a very violent imagination, I suppose.
I was so close to stomping my feet and acting like an impertinent child, when I noticed your face and that instantly sobered me up. He had moved a bit to his side and that had given me somewhat of a viewpoint. You looked wary, a bit disgusted and it was clear that you weren't comfortable with the situation at hand when not a second later, did I see him push himself against you. His hands found their way to your luscious brown curls and gripped them tight, your beanie falling down at the sudden movement and I immediately knew I had to do something.
So that was the moment a teal colour haired, gawky looking guy with thick glasses clenched his hand, decided to act like a hero and took a few adrenaline and stupidity infused steps towards you when all I heard was a high-pitched scream.
The guy who looked like a real life ogre was now face first on the floor with his left hand twisted and in a vice like grip, your vice like grip. His screams were unheard and drowned out in the loud music as he continued to struggle against your hold. Any other day, I would've instantly lost my sanity to my boisterous laughter looking at the sight before me but as a sudden picture flashed through my mind, one in which the ogre was me and his hand was mine, I involuntarily gulped. You lazily bent down and whispered something in his ears to which he nodded his head instantly or atleast tried to. You let go and not wasting another second, he scampered off and away from you, not once looking back. Your face held what I thought to be a borderline bored expression as you took your beanie off the floor and dusted it. I let my eyes linger on the fold of your hips for a few seconds when you bent down. Your hair was now freely bouncing off of your shoulders and you looked like a goddess sent from above, a fiery goddess with notable defence skills. But before I knew it, your brown eyes had suddenly locked with my blue ones and your face suddenly flinched itself into a surprise and then into mild amusement.
I probably looked like a fool, standing in the middle of the kitchen, eyes bulging out and sweat covering my forehead, not a very memorable first impression I agree. But I wasn't about to let my chance go to waste. A well-practised grin easily made its way to my face and I held my hands up in mock surrender as I walked towards you. You cocked one of your eyebrows up and lightly laughed, shaking you head, now clearly amused. But as I approached you, my hands went down and a sudden wave of nervousness spread itself through my blood. Now that I finally had my chance, what was I going to say to you?. My throat suddenly shrunk in itself and I couldn't get any words out. Your eyes were still locked with mine and now your lips had arched into a small smile. But if there was a god, I would thank him for the sight that stood before me. Up this close, I could see that the brown in your left eye was a bit lighter than your right, your beanie did no justice to hide your long brown hair and I had to fight off the temptation to feel them against my fingers. You wore little makeup and I could see just a little bit of sheen covering your delectable lips. But before I could continue mentally describing your beauty, a graceful and bold voice interrupted me,
"Are you done staring at me now?", you questioned, a small smile playing at your lips.
I laughed, a bit embarrassed as my cheeks burned but I looked straight into your eyes and answered truthfully,
"Never".
