It was going to be a tough battle, you all knew it. It could last a day, or for all of eternity, everybody stood side by side, shoulder to shoulder, all armoured up. Bucky's gun clicked as he slid the bullets in, Peter fidgeted with his new web shooters and the soft hum of Tony's arc reactor reached your ears as you slid your katana out of its sheath. 

Your boyfriend turned his head to look at you, after all, it could be one of the last times he got to take in your beautiful features, your glistening Y/E/C eyes, your soft Y/H/C hair. You felt him staring at you and turned to look at him, meeting his beautiful green eyes. His lips quirked upwards as you made eye contact, and in return, you gave him one of your beautiful smiles. "Loki?" you called out his name softly, "Is everything okay?" he raised his eyebrows at you, still grinning, "The world could possibly meet its end, the universe could be destroyed, and today could be our last day alive... yes, I'd say everything is perfect my love." You rolled your eyes at his sarcastic remark, and turned your head to look forward into the distance yet again.

"What does the giant purple space grape want from us anyway?" Tony commented, everybody turned to look at him. "To destroy half the Earth... I thought that was clear..." Stephen informed him, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "It just doesn't make sense!" Tony exclaimed, earning curious looks from many of his allies. "What doesn't make sense, man of iron?" Thor inquired, spinning stormbreaker round and round between his fingers. Tony proceeded to mumble something nobody could quite make out, but nobody questioned it, because in the distance, a large sillouhette appeared, instantly alerting everybody, and making them take their fighting stances.

Loki turned to look at you again, as you instantly did the same. "Y/N... I... I know this really isn't the best time to say this but..." he inhaled then exhaled as the words he wished to say to you for so long slipped out, "I love you." Your eyes widened and your lips parted slightly, "Loki... I love you too..." you responded. He looked into your eyes, and you could see love and shock reflecting in his beautiful ones. You both grinned widely, and leaned in for what could be a last kiss between you two... but were stopped.

"Hello.... Avengers." Came a deep, almost maniacal voice that managed to send shivers up everyone's spine. You all looked up, weapons at the ready, everyone looked brave and ready to fight but it wasn't hard to sense the atmosphere and guess that all of you were terrified. Thanos stood tall, looking down at you all with a smirk on his evil face. "Y/N" he spoke, everybody's eyes came to glance at you, obviously scared and paranoid for you. You gulped, "Hey... dad". Your adoptive purple grape father finally settled his eyes solely on you and his gaze softened considerably.

Everybody gulped as he laughed manically. Gamora looked at you worriedly, Thanos had willingly killed her, and although your adoptive sister had been resurrected, it was still a traumatic experience. Loki gripped the hilt of his dagger and stepped in front of you protectively. This caused the titan to stop laughing, but he still smiled. "Loki... you've betrayed me I see," he began. Thor and Y/N could be seen looking nervous, they had both been there when Thanos supposedly 'killed' Loki.

"And you've been courting my daughter as well I see". This earned a little chuckle from Drax, who instantly got about a thousand glares and shut up. The evil titan lord kneeled down before Loki and Y/N, "Tell me Loki, will you treat my daughter well?" he asked, much to everyone's shock.

Loki fidgeted before responding, "errr... yes..."

Thanos narrowed his eyes and stared at the god of mischief for a good 10 seconds before he got up. "Okay, good" he said, before turning around and going the way he came. "Oh!" he exclaimed stopping abruptly, he pulled off the stone embedded gauntlet off his hand, "Here, take it" he said throwing it at Strange.

"OOF" went Strange when the gauntlet hit him and knocked him over.

After Thanos left, everybody was left in a state of utter shock.

"WHY COULDN'T HE BE THAT CHILL WHEN I STARTED DATING GAMORA?!" Peter Quill cried out. Everybody laughed but then groaned in disgust when they saw Loki and Y/N making out.
