Narrator (Voice Only): In the depths of time, eons before the rise of mankind, a kingdom of gods thrived on a spherical planet named Asgard. Ruled by the regal Sigurd, the first king of Asgard, its population flourished under his wise leadership. Under Sigurd's guidance, Asgard's economy blossomed, and its people enjoyed unparalleled prosperity. Yet, destiny had other plans for this heavenly realm. As the eons passed, the planet began to tremble under the weight of a cosmic disturbance. The birth of a Celestial caused a cataclysmic upheaval, tearing apart the very foundations of Asgard. The glorious kingdom was engulfed in fire and chaos.
The scene opens to show the planet Asgard and its spherical shape before revealing the kingdom of Asgard, where Sigurd is sitting on his golden throne while smiling at his people. It then changes to show the Asgardians living in harmony until the surface of Asgard cracks open as a Celestial breaks free from the planet, causing chaos and destruction in its emergence.
Narrator (Voice Only): As destruction rained down upon Asgard, Sigurd fought to defend his people and his planet. He stood, a singular bastion against the onslaught, but his valiant efforts were in vain. The planet shattered, torn apart by the sheer might of the celestial being. In the ensuing cataclysm, Sigurd was hurled into the cold vacuum of space, his body torn and battered. Though gravely wounded, he clung to life, drifting in the endless abyss.
Sigurd is shown trying to fight against the emerging Celestial as fire rains down upon Asgard while his people try to run away, but it is too late, as the Celestial breaks free from the planet's hold, shattering it into billions of pieces. At the same time, all of the Asgardians are vaporized in the destruction of Asgard, all except for Sigurd, who is shown severely wounded while drifting in the dark void of space as he watches the Celestial walk away from the destroyed planet until he ultimately dies from his injuries.
Narrator (Voice Only): As he drifted through the void, Sigurd's fate took an unexpected turn. He was discovered by a demon named Bagra-ghul, a harbinger of hellfire and damnation. Bagra-ghul recognized Sigurd's indomitable spirit and saw an opportunity to forge a partnership between the two. With a touch of dark power, Bagra-ghul infused his essence into Sigurd, transforming him into a being of cosmic dread - the Ghost Rider. Fueled by a burning need for vengeance, Sigurd, now the Ghost Rider, unleashed his newfound powers on the Celestial responsible for Asgard's demise. The battle was a furious display of power, a struggle that would last for several months. In the end, the might of the Ghost Rider proved too much for the Celestial, who fell to Sigurd's vengeful wrath.
The scene then changes to show Sigurd floating in the endless abyss of space until a demonic entity known as Bagra-ghul, a fiery demon, appears before the dead body of Sigurd. Bagra-ghul then peers into Sigurd's soul before he ultimately decides to bond with the Asgardian, which transforms Sigurd into a Spirit of Vengeance known as the Ghost Rider. With his newfound powers, Sigurd manages to hunt down the Celestial that destroyed his planet and slaughtered his people. Their fight lasts for several months until Sigurd is shown unleashing the full power of his hellfire and incinerating the Celestial until only its decapitated head remains.
Narrator (Voice Only): With the fallen Celestial defeated, Sigurd turned his attention towards a new endeavor. He crafted Gramr, the greatest weapon in Asgard's history. Forged from Uru and infused with the fiery core of a sun, Gramr was unmatched in strength and durability. Its power was unparalleled and capable of withstanding even the most powerful energy blasts created by the Infinity Stones. Seeking to cleanse the universe of its celestial threats, Sigurd used Gramr to wreak havoc on the Celestials, hunting them across the galaxy. But his crusade would take a dramatic turn as he stumbled upon the six Infinity Stones, powerful relics capable of warping reality itself. The stones, sensing Sigurd's righteous fury, blessed him with a new power - the Power of the All-Father, or as Sigurd called it, the Sigurdforce. With this incredible power, Sigurd channeled his own life force's magical and cosmic energy, creating and manipulating it for a multitude of powerful effects.
After the death of the Celestial, Sigurd travels to Nidavellir, where, with the help of the Dwarves, he forges his most powerful weapon, known as Gramr. It is able to focus and hone Sigurd's powers, acting as a conduit, and thus is the strongest weapon in Asgard's history. Gramr, made out of Uru and the fiery core of a sun, is the most powerful, nigh-indestructible sword. Sigurd is then shown hunting down the other Celestials throughout the universe and starts slaughtering them all, as Gramr can kill divine beings. However, Sigurd then comes across the six Infinity Stones, which bless him with the ability called the Power of the All-Father, or the Sigurdforce, allowing him to manipulate his own life force's magical and cosmic energy for a number of powerful effects.
Narrator (Voice Only): Utilizing the Sigurdforce, Sigurd then restored Asgard to its former glory, reshaping the once-spheroidal planet into a flat plane. He then resurrected his people, bringing them back to life and allowing them to prosper once again on the renewed Asgard. But his work was not done. Sigurd concealed the Infinity Stones in containments and sent them throughout the universe, ensuring their safety and keeping them out of malevolent hands. Having brought Asgard and its people back from destruction, Sigurd realized the enormity of his task. He knew he needed to pass the mantle to another, to lead Asgard into a continued age of peace and prosperity. Thus, he appointed Buri as the new king of Asgard and gave him a portion of the Power of the All-Father.
The scene changes to show Sigurd arriving back at the destroyed fragments of Asgard, where he then uses his Sigurdforce to restore Asgard again, but this time reshaping it into a flat, asteroid-like mass that has a top surface with a gravitational pull, similar to that of the Earth. Sigurd then uses the Sigurdforce to also resurrect his people from the dead, as well as using this power to create concealments for the Infinity Stones and send them throughout the dark reaches of the universe. Once Sigurd returned to Asgard, he passed on the title of king to his successor named Buri, as well as bestowing upon him a portion of the Power of the All-Father as a gift.
Narrator (Voice Only): But in his efforts to restore and defend Asgard, Sigurd had overextended himself. The immense use of his powers had drained him, and he decided to enter a state of self-imposed sleep, the Sigurdsleep, to conserve his energy and rest from his labors. And thus, Sigurd, the first king of Asgard, vanished from the realm, never to be seen again.
However, the scene changes to show Sigurd growing weaker from his overuse of the Sigurdforce as he travels to a secluded area in Vanaheim, where he enters the Sigurdsleep deep within a dark cave. He also places several enchantments to keep him protected and undisturbed. Sigurd would remain in this state for over a billion years, with his name being only spoken about in Asgardian legends and stories throughout Asgard... until now.
Timeskip (Year 1995)
After the opening, the scene changes to show Sigurd in his resting chambers as he is still in his Sigurdsleep, while being completely aware of what is happening in his surroundings and even across the Nine Realms. However, he then starts sensing an anomaly that has traces of the cosmic energy of the Tesseract, or the Space Stone, on Midgard/Earth, which causes Sigurd to wake up from his Sigurdsleep.
Sigurd: (Gets up as he summons Gramr to his hand) Whoever this Kree mortal is, she'll have to answer as to why she possesses the same cosmic energy as the Space Stone. (Sighs in annoyance) If it weren't for Buri's grandson, Odin, taking the Tesseract and later placing it on Midgard, it wouldn't have been misused by both mortal and Kree hands.
Sigurd then removes the enchantments as he steps out of the cave before raising Gramr in the air, where he summons the Bifrost and is teleported off of Vanaheim. Meanwhile, on the planet Midgard, or Earth, the scene changes to show Nick Fury leaving the facility after witnessing the autopsy of a Skrull. He notices a brilliant beam of white light in the sky shining down onto the ground as he sees Sigurd appear in front of him.
Fury: Huh? You know, I've seen a lot of weird shit today, and seeing a guy wearing medieval armor and holding a big-ass sword in his hand just appear from the sky is probably the weirdest shit that I've seen so far.
Sigurd: Ten Asgardian Coins says you're wrong.
Fury: Asgardian Coins?
Sigurd: My apologies, Nickolas Fury. Asgardian Coins are the currency of my people on our realm, or planet, called Asgard. Forgive me; allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sigurd, and I am the God of Vengeance as well as the former first King of Asgard.
Fury: Firstly, on Earth, our currency is the dollar bill, or money/bucks. Secondly, what are your intentions here on Earth, Sigurd? Are you here to make peace, or are you here to destroy us? And thirdly, how do you know my name?
Sigurd: Know this, Nickolas. You and I fight for the same cause: the protection of this realm. From this day forward, you can count me in as your ally, as my mission is to find the Kree woman since she possesses the same cosmic energy as the Tesseract. Also, I know your name because I am aware of everything that goes on across the Nine Realms, as well as knowing when the Tesseract is being misused by mortal hands.
Fury: I see. Well, this is a lot to take in, but you can tell me more about it along the way, as both S.H.I.E.L.D. and I are after that woman too. Also, call me Fury; nobody calls me Nickolas—not even my mother.
Sigurd: (smirks) Very well, Fury. (Places Gramr onto his back) I know where she is, and I can take us to her location far faster than your vehicle. (Notices the various mortals walking down the street and then uses his magic to alter his armor into human clothes)
Before Nick Fury could say anything, Sigurd then grabs onto his shoulder and teleports the two of them to where the Kree woman is. Meanwhile, the scene changes to the Kree woman known as Vers, who is shown walking into a bar. She then walks over to a wall covered in pictures of Air Force fighter jets before fixating on one with the Pegasus logo on the tail.
Vers: (turns to the bartender) Excuse me, but where was this photograph taken?
Bartender: At an airport?
Vers: Where's Pegasus?
Fury (Voice Only): That's classified. Not unlike the file I started on you.
Vers then turns to see both Nick Fury and Sigurd walking into the room.
Fury: (turns to Sigurd with an annoyed expression on his face) When this is over, you and I are going to have a long talk about your miscommunication skills.
Vers: Did you have a rough day, Agent Fury? (Turns to Sigurd) You, though, I haven't seen you before. How do I know that you aren't a Skrull?
Sigurd: Because I've been asleep for over a billion years, and a Skrull can't do this. (His skin burns away until his skull is on fire as he turns into his Ghost Rider form)
Vers: Impressive. (Turns to Fury and sees the shocked expression on his face) You good there, Agent Fury?
Fury: Yeah, I'm good. (Walks up to Sigurd and takes out ten dollars before handing it to him) I don't have Asgardian coins, but this will do.
Sigurd then takes the money from Fury as he transforms back into his human form. It was then that Vers started asking Fury if he was a Skrull, to which the latter was able to prove it while Vers did the same thing by showcasing her powers.
Sigurd: So, now that we have that out of the way, I would like to ask you something, Vers. That power that you possess has the same cosmic energy as the Tesseract, or as it's known by the mortals here on Earth, the Cube. Now, I would like to know how you acquired that power.
Vers: (gathers cosmic energy in her fist) There must be some kind of mistake, as the Kree were responsible for giving me this power. It wasn't what you called a Tesseract.
Sigurd: The Kree don't possess that type of technology to give someone cosmic energy, Vers. I may have been asleep for over a billion years, but I've been aware of everything that has been going on in this universe. Granted, I've only been keeping an eye on my home planet, Asgard, as well as the six Infinity Stones. Until recently, I detected your cosmic energy. It's the same as the Tesseract, which has been on Midgard, or Earth, for centuries due to Odin, the current king of Asgard, placing it there a long time ago.
Vers: But if that's true, then why would the Kree lie to me? Why do I have these memories that I don't recognize in my head?
Fury: We'll find out more about this at the military bunker where Project Pegasus is located.
Sigurd and Vers agree as they all head to Nick Fury's car, where they then travel to the military bunker where Project Pegasus is located. Meanwhile, the scene changes to show the Director of SHIELD, who is actually a Skrull named General Talos, walking into a room where he sees multiple Skrull scientists working on various experiments on several Skrull test subjects.
Talos: What the hell is going on?! Kl'rt, I thought I told you to shut down your barbaric experiments! (He walks up to a Skrull who has red eyes and is wearing a black and purple battle suit)
Kl'rt: (smirks as he turns around and faces Talos) General, the Skrull Empire is a dying breed, and the longer we go down this path, the more our people will become extinct. That's why, if we want to win this war against the Kree, we must evolve in order to destroy our enemies.
Talos: You know the laws, Kl'rt! It is forbidden to perform illegal experiments on your own kind!
Kl'rt: The Kree have a super-powered individual who can take us out with just a flick of her wrist. This project will give us a fighting chance, as our shapeshifting powers can only do so much. By enhancing our physiology, we can not only take the forms of anyone that we see, but if the individual possesses any enhanced abilities, then we will be able to copy them and use these powers against our enemies.
Talos: Regardless of what you might think, it is forbidden, Kl'rt, and I will not stand by this! Shut it down, as I won't ask you again, or you'll face punishment for treason against the empire.
Kl'rt: As you wish, General. (Sees Talos start walking out of the room)
Skrull Scientist 1: Are we going to stop the project like General Talos said?
Kl'rt: (smirks) No. Pack up everything and take it to a secret location far from here. We're still continuing this project, and once it's finished, Talos will no longer be in charge.
Skrull Scientist 2: But General Talos is our leader, and we must follow his orders.
Kl'rt then takes his Skrull Blaster out and fires it at the second scientist in the head, thus killing him instantly.
Kl'rt: There's only one true leader of the Skrull Empire, and his name is Emperor Dorrek VII. Now, let's get to work!
Skrulls: Yes, sir!
The scene turns black, and the credits are shown.

Chapter 1 is done. Yep, I made it so that my is able to use the Sigurdforce or the Power of the All-Father and gave a portion of it to Buri, who would then pass it on to his family and then later on to Odin. Also, I wanted to showcase a different take on how Asgard was created before it ultimately takes its iconic look from the movies. Oh and you guys will definitely see more of Kl'rt the Super Skrull throughout this book, although, how he got his new powers will be different than in the comics. But anyway thank you for reading, please comment, vote, and suggest anything that you would like to see and I'll see you in the next chapter, Predator signing off.
