Ruby's POV:

  "Loki promise you'll be there?" You question, smiling as you twirl in your red gown.

"I promise." Loki says dully. You frown.

Loki was annoyed by the song "Bailando" because you had played it so much from when you were practicing for your big performance. Even though he hated the song, he would still attend your performance just because he knew how much it meant to you.

"Look, I understand that you don't like the song, but you don't have to listen to it. Just bring earbuds or something, all you have to do is watch me dance." You suggest, as you slip on your shoes and grab your car keys.

"If that's what you'd like darling." Loki laughs as he kisses you on the cheek as you walk out the door.

   (Time Skip To The Theater)

You had spent two hours practicing the dance routine with your dance partner, Edmund. You were curious on how Loki would react to seeing you dance with Edmund. You just shrugged it off and prepared to go on stage.

You waited for the announcer to call your name.

You peeked behind stage to see Loki sitting in the front row. You wave to him and he smiles at you.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for, Ruby Victoriano and Edmund Becker performing to Bailando by Enrique Iglesias !" The announcer announces, as you hear the music starting.

You run out onto stage from upstage left, while Edmund comes in on upstage right. You twirl, and fall into Edmund's arms, and he catches you.

The two of you dance together, swaying to the music.  Edmund grabs your hand and begins to twirl  you. Edmund separates from you and he suddenly cries in pain.

"My ankle!" He groans, falling to the ground, as you hear the crowd gasp. You shoot a look at Loki, who looked quite  content for someone who just witnessed that.

After the dance, you decided it would be best to confront Loki.

"You did that to Edmund, didn't you?"  You question angrily.

"I did no such thing." Loki straight out lies, avoiding eye contact with you.

"Look me straight in the eyes Loki and tell me you didn't do it." You order.

Loki faces you and glares straight at you and simply says. "It wasn't me."

"Don't try lying to me. Besides, you looked pretty jealous anyways." You point out.

"I was not- okay so maybe I was a little envious. But he was dancing with you and he held your hands!" Loki snaps back.

You feel heat rushing up your face. "He had to hold my hands or else I would fall!" You yell back at Loki.

Loki suddenly falls quiet. "I know he had to. But why him? I am supposed to be the one that holds you up, not him."  Loki admits.

You calm down. "Is that what you're worried about? I would never leave you for him. You know, I love you sometimes, Laufeyson." You laugh, embracing Loki.

"Besides," you begin, "Edmund is married and has two kids. Plus, we don't have feelings for each other. That would be just weird."

"Well I'm still glad you're with me then."
