So this is the continuation of the previous Loki preference... the 1k reads special should be up pretty soon!? ALSO, there is a *little* Maze Runner spoiler ahead, but if you've seen the movie/read the book or have no desire to do either, then you should be fine ;)

There was no way you could sleep. Not after what you learned about Loki. He was evil? He faked his death? You tossed and turned before giving up and getting out of bed. You decide that the best plan to keep calm is to make a cup of tea and watch Netflix.

You squirm around on the couch, unable to get comfortable. This is ridiculous; the two of you haven't even dated for that long but you were still hung up on him. What are you talking about; you hadn't even broken up!

You flip over off the couch, grunting and getting a book. You grab The Maze Runner, you've been wanting to read it for a while, but never got to it.

The book made no sense at first, but finally got good. AGH MAZE RUNNER SPOILER (not really though if you've seen the movie) You thought a lot about Thomas working for WICKED. He might have been evil then, but he was good now. Maybe Loki was the same.

Loki might have had a bad past, but maybe he decided to be good? He seemed like a good man, compassionate and caring to those he knew, but you don't know what to think anymore. You groan at your headache and eventually drift off into sleep.

You make your way out of the building towards the coffee shop the two of you agreed upon. You sit down at a table, twiddling your thumbs until Loki enters. You look up immediately and his green eyes meet yours.

"Why did you lie?" you whisper, your heart breaking upon seeing him.

"I didn't want you to know he truth until later, but now that you know, it's time to start my mission. To finish wiping out you pitiful humans!" he yells at the last part before transforming into the Loki you first met. He raises his scepter and sends it rushing down to pierce your skull.

You scream at the top of your lungs and quickly open your eyes. It was just a bad dream. You cry and cry for what feels like hours until you finally stop and get ready.

You put on a pair of black leggings and a sweater, knowing that it'll be colder outside. You brush your hair and teeth, then promptly leave. You walk towards the close-by coffee shop, and take a deep breath before entering. It appears that Loki's already there.

You take a seat across from him and he kisses your hand. Your emotions cause you to fill with disgust; how could he so effortlessly play the good guy role?

"(Y/N), My Queen, how was the beach?" he asks casually, apparently thinking this was a casual meet-up.

"Fine. Well, not really fine I guess. I got pulled out into sea and almost died if that matters," you respond, your voice rising.

He looks at you with worry and concern in his eyes, stroking your hand. "Are you alright now? I knew I should have gone with you..."

"I'm good. The Avengers happened to be at the beach, so I was in good hands. They took care of me. They're all quite nice, especially that one, Thor I think it is?" you toy. He better admit it himself. That's the only hope for you two, if he admits.

"You know what (Y/N), I need to tell you something. I'm from a totally different world, Asgard. And I'm Thor's brother. I was disregarded and banished from Asgard, so I grew angry. I caused the attack in New York that made us meet. I couldn't let you get hurt. You... changed me. When I made it back to Asgard as a prisoner, I had to fake my own death, but I promise I'm different now. I've changed, and I just hope you can see that."

You take a good look at Loki's pleading eyes. His hand is still on yours, and your head is going crazy. This man was responsible for thousands of deaths. How can you believe he changed? You sigh.

"O-okay. But you better prove it to me that you've changed," you state, getting up.

"I promise I will. How about we go on another date tomorrow? It will e the best date you've ever been on, I promise," he offers. You can feel a smile growing on your face; maybe things will be okay.

"Alright."
