He Thinks You're Cheating (Thor, Bruce, Loki, Scott)
//: Hi everyone! This was just updated due to some grammatical errors I had to fix. Your next "make up" chapter is approaching very quickly! See you later today!
Thor:
You take a deep breath opening your e-mail. You had just applied to be a lawyer at a giant law firm in the city. It was extremely well-known, and getting the job would be absolutely fantastic. Hopefully it would jump start your career and boost your income. All you had to do now is get in. You thought you did decently well with your interview, and you had won all the cases you had ever been a part of. Your chances seemed pretty well, but they might be looking for people with more experience for all you know.
The dumb e-mail does not want to open. Finally, after about thirty seconds of loading it finally opens up. Your eyes quickly scan the words, dying to see if you got in or not.

...............................
You did!
You leap out of your seat in joy and can't help but do your happy dance. You start work tomorrow! Overflowing with excitement, you jump on your bed, that is before collapsing onto it and going to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your first week of work is over and you already have gotten four cases, and have won one of them already! You really like your boss and one of the co-workers that you have to work on a case with is really funny and pretty darn cool. Luckily it's Saturday, and despite wanting to chill, you still have to get a bit of research in for the case while you're at it. Might as well do the boring things first.
You're just about to start looking up the terms of use for this one phone company when you get a message from Thor. Deciding to (already) take a break for a second, you look at the text quickly.
Lady (Y/N), would you care to go out and do something sometime today?
You frown looking at the text, knowing that you're probably going to spend most of the day working on the case. You quickly text him back, feeling slightly bad.
Sorry Thor but I can't. It's kinda a busy day for me... maybe another time?
Finishing the conversation quickly, you go back to look through the terms. There isn't quite the information you wanted to find. Maybe if you can find one of the sub-documents it's going off of you'll be able to catch the company up. Sighing, you rub your temples, trying to come up with a game plan. You grab your jacket and leave your apartment, heading over to the library. They'll most likely have the document, or another one that could help you out.
You stop at Starbucks first though, grabbing a caramel frappuchino to keep you up and alert while you're rummaging through files.
You speed-walk to the library. Once you make it inside you go back to you and Thor's table, setting your frappuchino down at the table and venturing off to find the legal documents section (yeah, your library is pretty intense). After grabbing some papers that may contribute to the case and make your way back to the table.
Folding open the documents, you sigh and lightly rub your eyes, zoning out for a second. The sound of a chair scooting against the carpet snaps you back into reality, causing you to look up. It's your partner for the case, Owen!
"Just figured I'd look through some of the documents to see what we can get around with. It looks like I'm not the only one," he jokes sending you a smile. Owen's really cool. He's engaged and soon to be married. He used to be a judge before moving over to being a lawyer and so he really knows what he's doing.
"You can sit down with me if you'd like," you offer, smiling at him. He takes a seat across from you and flips through his papers a little more eagerly than you are. You look at him, so enthusiastic about law, and giggle.
"What? Can't handle my love for the court? You know, people respect LeBron James for loving the court, but I can't get a piece of respect for doing the same." he laughs, causing you to shake your head at the awful joke.
~~~
It seems that (Y/N) is busy, yet again this week. Thor had offered to take her out to multiple places during the week but she always declined. He quickly shook it off and decided that maybe he could go read a bit about stars to calm him down. Sometimes he liked to read about the foolish theories that were completely incorrect. If only they knew the truth.
He walks slowly across the sidewalk, smiling despite another phase of "rejection" for this week. Finally arriving at the library, he walks in, smiles at the lady at the front desk, Shannon was her name, and walks over to the books about galaxies.
After glancing through tons of different selections, he finally chooses "Outer Space: Galaxies and Stars". Grasping the book tightly, he heads to his table where he met (Y/N) at, smiling while thinking about her. The way her beautiful hair glows in the sun, and her eyes gleam when she's passionate, it makes him so happy and content. He never thought he'd like Midgard so well.
After turning the corner to the tables, he sees her. The girl with the shining hair that now no longer gleams. Her once passionate eyes seem dull yet mischievous. The smile and laugh that normally fill the room leave it feeling emptier than it possibly could have been, as if she were not even in the room and was only a figment of his imagination.
The way the man across from him speaks, sits, and breathes makes Thor uncomfortable. He snaps out of his gaze, looking down at his book that has now fallen to the floor. His body and mind do not connect, and he doesn't even notice that he's walking over to her until he's already there.
"Can we talk?" he asks, his voice harsh and cold.
Bruce:
"Hey Bruce!" you greet, smiling at him. You happened to run into him in the hallways, so figured you might as well chat.
"Oh, uhm, hi (Y/N). How has your day been going so far today?" he asks, his awkward self as usual.
"Pretty good. It hasn't been too busy, just scheduling and running a few errands. How have you been doing today?" you question, walking and talking with him.
"Not bad at all, actually, I started working on a new experiment to see if-"
"Miss (Y/L/N), Mr. Stark requests you in the downstairs lobby immediately," JARVIS interrupts. You give Bruce a sympathetic look.
"Duty calls, it appears. I'll talk to you soon," you sigh, giving him a quick kiss.
You rush down the steps, because there's no use in waiting for the elevator, down to the lobby. You quickly fix your light blue dress, just in case there's company, then enter the lobby with a smile.
"Hi Tony," you greet, letting out a light breath, "you called?"
"Oh, yeah. I wanted to introduce you to my good friend Colonel James Rhodes," he introduces. You smile and shake his hand.
"Rhodey is fine. Tony's just being really weird," Rhodey says under his breath, so Tony can barely hear him.
"So (Y/N), you should show Rhodey around, maybe go out for lunch, or shopping or something fun," he suggests, handing you a few $20 bills.
"I have to go to a meeting," he reminds you, "so I won't be back until probably 4. Rhodey, tell me if she's bad," he teases. You laugh and shake your head, watching him leave the room.
"So, would you like a little tour of the towers first?" You offer, smiling at him.
"Sure, that sounds fine with me," he responds, "Tony and I are pretty tight, so I've been here a few times, but I've never gotten a tour."
You take him around the tower, showing him all the rooms and keeping up some mild conversations. Finally, you make it to the top floor, showing him the little lookout area, then entering the elevator to go back downstairs.
"Thanks for the tour (Y/N)." Rhodey states, smiling at you.
You grin. "So maybe now I can take you out some place to lunch?" you offer.
"Lunch sounds great. Wherever you want will be fine with me," he affirms.
You two end out driving over to a nice little Italian place, one of those where the entrees are ridiculously huge, so you both share the pasta.
After your later in the evening lunch, you finally head back to Avengers Tower. Heading inside, you see Tony on the couch, waiting for you two.
"Oh hey, you guys are back," Tony comments, standing up, "I'll take him from here, we've got a lot of boy hanging out to do," he adds, patting your back.
"Well it was very nice to hang out with you (Y/N)," Rhodey compliments, causing you to smile.
"Yeah, maybe we could do it again sometime," you reply, giving him a quick hug before waving and promptly leaving.
As you turn the corner to go over to the staircases you run into Bruce, who's just standing there.
"(Y/N)! You had me worried sick! Where have you been all day?" He exclaims, lightly grabbing your shoulders.
Loki:
You laze away in bed next to Loki, looking at your phone. He just came over, and saw you being lazy and decided to join. (CLEAN YOUR MINDS CHILDREN)
After seeing no new instagram pictures, you toss your phone lightly on your bed and lay back in frustration. That was all you were planning to do today, check ig.
"Nobody posts on instagram," you mumble, as Loki leans back next to you. He plays with your hair gently and you sigh by his gentle touch.
Suddenly, breaking up the moment, your phone lights up and lets out a loud ding!, notifying you that you've received a message.
You sit up carefully to grab your phone then lay back down to check your text. It's Thor. You two haven't talked for a while, but he wants to hang out!
You find Thor very interesting, as he's the one true key to seeing Loki's past self. And he's pretty cool of course, that helps.
"I've got to go; reuniting with an old friend," you explain, unsure how he would take the news about you hanging out with his brother.
He sighs, then slowly sits up. "Be careful, my love. I'll talk to you later, right?" You smile and nod, getting up and putting on your shoes. He follows suit. The two of you walk out together and part ways, you walking towards the Avengers Tower and him walking in the other direction to who knows where.
You hum lightly to yourself, treading along until you finally make it. Opening the heavy, industrialized doors, you make your way into the building. It even looks expensive; you feel awkward intruding the beautiful place.
"May I help you Miss?" A voice asks, startling you. You look around, totally confused.
"I'm Mr. Stark's personal AI and assistant, JARVIS. Now what are you looking for?"
"Thor Odinson. He wanted to meet and hang out; we know each other. Could you tell him that (Y/N) is here please?" You ask awkwardly, unsure how much power JARVIS actually has.
You stand awkwardly for a minute, until the elevator doors open to reveal Thor. He walks over to you and gives you a friendly hug. "How are you doing (Y/N)?" He asks, his voice bellowing.
"I'm doing well, thanks. How are you doing?" you ask, smiling.
"I'm doing fantastic! What do you say we go out to lunch?" he offers.
"Sounds good to me, wherever you wanna go is fine."
The two of you walk (because neither of you feel like driving) to the nearest restaurant, an Italian place. You sit down and order, talking about how your lives have been since you last saw each other.
"So I was running down the stairs, and I totally just fell down the whole flight! This is what happens when you don't pay attention!" you laugh.
"Excuse me," somebody says, tapping your shoulder. You turn.
"Loki?" Thor asks, confused.
"What are you doing here? With him?" Loki asks. You bite your lip and shake your head. This is exactly why you didn't tell him. You knew this would happen. You get up, grab your coat, and leave the two men behind at the restaurant.
Scott:
You drove to the airport, blasting Fall Out Boy music, of course. You had quickly compiled an article about Halloween activities in the area and were now done for the rest of the week (work-wise).
The reason for this quick, make-shift article was that your friend Shane was coming into town. The two of you had been friends since third grade, and your friendship grew a lot closer when he announced that he was gay during senior year. All of his other friends disapproved and left him, except for you. You were the only one to stand by and support him, causing the two of you to become great friends.
You face-time each other quite frequently still to check in, him living in Atlanta it's hard to talk in person, but finally he was coming into town to go to a food festival, and invited you to join.
You park at the gate, sending him a text that you have arrived, and sit there impatiently tapping your fingers.
Suddenly, he appears, quite a bit taller than you remember him being. You can't wipe the smile off your face, and quickly unlock the car doors to allow him in.
"Hey! How are you doing?" you ask, giving him an inside-the-car hug.
"I'm doing fantastic! And you? You know, you look great, that haircut is really nice on you," He compliments. You grin, knowing he'd love it.
"Great," you comment, putting the car into drive,"I'm so excited to go to this festival. Just hanging out, eating food, sounds like a great time to me."
You stare at the road, knowing you're forgetting something, until it dawns on you. "Oh yeah! I forgot to tell Scott that we were going. Would you mind texting him for me?" you ask, handing Shane your phone.
"Is that your boyfriend, right? Oh wow, he's cute. Does he have any friends?" He jokes, the tapping/texting sound of your phone ringing throughout the car.
"I'm not really sure; I'll have to introduce him to you. I'm sure you guys will get along pretty well. He's awesome, like me," you state, causing him to laugh and shake his head.
"Sounds pretty cool to me. Oh, he says that he was planning on heading to that too so he might see you there. Sounds like we might be able to meet then."
You pull into the parking garage that was reserved for the festival and take out your tickets from your purse. Opening the door and hopping out of the car, you get set to go on this "mystical journey for food" with Shane.
Upon entering the festival, you immediately take note of all the beautiful colors and scents in the area. Different tents with different origins of food lie about, and they actually even give you a map to locate your favorite tents.
"We should go check out the Mediterranean food, that's always great," Shane comments. He's a total foodie, so you trust his opinions and follow him throughout the maze of tents and posts.
The two of you order your food and make it out. This process repeats over and over again until you two have had a majority of the food in the place and are absolutely too full to ever eat again.
You both walk at a surprisingly slow pace, you leaning your head on his shoulder and laughing at his story about Atlanta.
"So basically, alligators are not hard to come upon in Atlanta." He finishes, causing you to laugh once more. Upon turning the corner, you run into someone, causing them to fall to the ground.
"Oh goodness, I'm so sorry," you apologize, holding out a hand to help the man up. He looks up at you, and you realize it's Scott.
"Hey Scott! I'm glad I finally got to see you. Uhm, this is..."
You're cut off by Scott jumping up and running past you, leaving you completely confused in the middle of the festival.
Thanks all for reading! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this chapter! Please feel free to comment or request whatever you'd like to see! Thanks again!
