Sam x reader

It was at one of Tony's quieter parties just you, the team and a few others were sitting around the table. Tony trying to make theory's to attempt to lift Thor's hammer. After a while people (particularly Thor) got tired of hearing them, so Clint took action, he grabbed an empty bowl and some paper tearing it into strips and writing names whist you all watched.

"Ok guys, we're going to play Seven Minutes in Heaven and we all have to play!" Oh god you thought, Clint had some how discovered that you had a HUGE crush on Sam and was convinced that he was head over heels for you too even though you highly doubted it.

He slyly winked at you and glared right back at him, you knew what he was suggesting and you didn't like it. He turned in a circle a couple of times before stopping at Sam. You were super nervous and a little pissed at Clint because something about this whole ordeal was fishy, suspicious, sketchy and you didn't like it.

Sam shoved his hand in the bowl and pulled out a paper strip. He read it, then read it again before a look of something you could only identify as, nerves? "Y/n I uh got your name" he smirked. Oh god you think, what if I do something extremely embarrassing? I cannot screw this up oh god! You could feel your heart beating at this point and if the others couldn't hear it beating then you were a penguin.

You quickly stand and follow Sam to the room. Once you get in there you turn and close the door softly. He looks at you and smiles, takes a deep breath and confidently says "Y/n I know Clint will expect us to do something but if you don't want to we don't have to I mean unless..." He wiggles his eyebrows and smirks, the last part makes you both laugh.

"But in all serious Y/n I have a bit of a crush on you" he pauses. "And I was wondering if you'd like to get dinner with me on Friday night?" You heart catches in your throat, you take a deep breath and respond "Yes Sam is love to get dinner with you!" He smiles.

This simple gesture gives you a tad more confidence "pick me up at six" you add your voice light and assertive. "Sounds great!" responds. With that kiss his cheek and you sashay back into the living room leaving a chuckling Sam behind.
