"Father, I do not understand why we must leave Asgard. It is a simple party. There will be many parties in the future." Inger pouted, arms crossed over her chest as they approached the Bifrost.

"Inger, dear, this is more than a simple party. We are going to rejoice with my old comrades, Tony wishes us to gather. And, as you know, it is simply rude to ignore an invitation from an old friend." Thor explained to his youngest child, a hand on her shoulder as he led his children to meet with Heimdall.

Inger sighed. "Yes, Father."

"Besides, this will be fun for you all. You've never seen Midgard before! It'll be an adventure." Hannah said, smiling at her three children. "And, I'll be able to show you all of my favorite places in Midgard. It will be fantastic!"

Thor smiled at his wife, but the children still looked uneasy. They finally reached the beginnings of the Bifrost, and Heimdall approached them.

"Go on, children. I will catch up." Thor said, hurrying his children along. Hannah nodded, gathering up the young adults and leading them onto the Bifrost as Thor and Heimdall began to talk.

"My king, it is unwise of you to leave in the midst of this crisis." Heimdall began. "Asgardian warriors are going to battle and not returning. We need a king to lead us, not a God of mischief."

"I have my full trust in Loki. He may have let us down before, but he has matured. You know that, Heimdall. And besides, if he does allow something to go... unruly, I have my full trust in you and Lady Jillian to make things right." Thor said, and Heimdall nodded.

"Yes, my king. But, with this war raging on, it's almost impossible to say that something will go right."

Willow sat in a booth on a train, sitting across from her mother and father who we're deep in conversation. Her head was in the clouds as she had her headphones plugged in and was staring outside the window.

"Maybe Tony's just trying to make sure we're looking out for any 'Gamma-related' things." Mariela tried to explain logically, rubbing her temples. Bruce had just told her of what Tony had told him a couple of nights ago over the phone, and the couple was trying to make sense of it.

"I don't know, 'Ela, he seemed pretty serious." Bruce sighed, before looking over at his daughter then back to his wife.

"If he is being serious, I need to know. I don't want anything to happen to Willow. She needs to stay with us. She needs to be protected." Bruce said urgently, and Mariela nodded.

"I know, Bruce. You can talk to Tony about the whole thing once we arrive in New York." Mariela reassured him quietly.

Willow looked back up from the window and looked over at them intrigued. She took out one of her earbuds and furrowed her brows. "What were you guys talking about?" She asked softly

"Business stuff sweetie with Uncle Tony." Bruce explained softly, not wanting Willow to get involved in such a mess.

Willow knew they were lying, she could always tell when her parents were worried. But, she simply nodded before plopping her earbud back in her ear and pulling out her notebook.

"Tell me again why we're driving to the Barton's?" Ariana raised a brow at her parents as she leaned back in her seat and stretched her legs across the open seats.

"Because, they live close to us and it'd be quicker just to fly with them on the Quinn Jet than on a regular ole plane." Scott shrugged as he drove along.

"Besides, you'll get to see Natalie and Charles again, won't that be fun?" Jodi said hopefully as she looked back at Ariana. "You and Natalie were the best of friends whenever we visit over the summers and Charles seems quite fond of you." She teased the last part.

Ariana blushed and rolled her eyes as she looked out the window. "I'm sure he wouldn't want to date some criminal like me." She mumbled.

"Well, if he doesn't like you the way you are, he doesn't deserve you. Not that you should be thinking about boys or boyfriends or anything like that anyways." Scott added quickly as he glanced back at her in the mirror.

Ari smiled a little bit at her dad as she looked back up at him. "No promises." She teased playfully and Scott groaned. "Why can't you be 6 again, where you thought all boys have cooties?" He whined

Jodi and Ari giggled softly and smiled at him. "You are a dork, Scott Lang." Jodi teased as she looked over at him. "But I'm your dork, Jodi Lang." Scott smiled back at her in the mirror.

Ari smiled at her parents before leaning her head against the window, seeing the farmhouse up in the distance.

Natalie sat on top of the hood of the old Barton family tractor. She swung her legs and hummed softly to herself as she looked down and smiled at the couple of puddles that had been left from yesterday's rain. She moved her fingers around a little bit and watched the water dance and jump puddle from puddle.

Charles walked out of the house and looked over at his sister and chuckled as he walked over, smoothing down his freshly ironed shirt. "What are you doing?" He said with a raised brow.

"Practicing." She said softly before she looked over at him and raised a brow. "How are you getting all dressed up for?" She teased playfully. "Could it be for Ariana Lang?" She smirked knowingly

Charles blushed and rolled his eyes. "No, I just want to look nice. Okay?" He lied as he looked up at his sister, who immediately caught onto his lie. "You know, if you didn't bore her to death talking about cars, maybe you'd have a better shot." She teased more, sliding down from the tractor.

"What would you know about flirting? You've never even had a boyfriend!" Charles argued and crossed his arms over his chest. She shrugged as she looked over at him. "Yeah, well I know more about girls than you do, considering you've never had a girlfriend and the fact that I'm a girl."

"Would you two stop bickering?" Laia said as she walked out of the house, holding both of her bags and heading to the Quinn jet to load them up. "Listen to your mother kiddos and hurry up and get your bags. Scott, Jodi, and Ariana should be here in a few." Clint said, following Laia and holding his own bags.

Natalie stuck out her tongue at Charles one last time before she headed back inside the house to grab her stuff and Charles rolled his eyes and followed her inside.

Sebastian and James had been best friends since they were little. They practically did everything together. So, when they found out that they would be visiting Avengers tower, they said they had wanted to drive there together. The parents allowed it, only on the condition that they took William with them.

Now, James didn't mind William, he actually thought of him as a little brother really. But, Will's actual brother wasn't that pleased. He had argued with Lilly for hours about him riding with James and Sebastian, but had finally grumbled a "fine", when Bucky told him to listen to his mother and take him with them.

Steve, Bucky, Lilly, and Ash all rode in a separate car in front of James and Sebastian's ride. James sat in the drivers seat while Sebastian rode shotgun as William sat in the back with his headphones on to block out Sebastian's music and more focused on his laptop than anything else.

"Why do you think they're all meeting?" Sebastian asked as he looked over at James. "I don't know, Dad wouldn't give me the true answer. He said it was like a business party. But Avengers don't usually have business parties in the middle of October."James told him.

"Especially since the last one was, what, 8 years ago?" Sebastian said as he looked back at James and he nodded. "Yeah, it's definitely strange." He agreed.

They sat in a long silence for a moment, besides the blaring of Seb's music. Finally, he broke the silence. "Do you remember any of the other kids?" He asked him.

"Eh, I remember faces, but not really names. I do remember Astrid. She was the eldest daughter of Thor. And the Barton kids. And I do remember somewhat of the tiny Banner girl. But I don't remember her names or the others." He explained softly. "You?"

"I remember one of the Barton's pretty clearly. Natalie. Natalie Barton." He said as he looked back out the window. "I remember that she was a lot more laid back than her brother, and me and her snuck into the kitchen to steal food." The corners of his mouth turned up at the memory.

"Maybe you remember her best cause you had a huge crush on her." William mumbled as he scrolled through his computer, he had only been half-listening. Sebastian looked back at his little brother and glared. "Go back to your computer, Billy." He grumbled

James shook his head and slicked his hair back. He knew this would be a long ride.

A/N: hope you enjoyed this chapter! I know it's been a little bit since I updated this book, but I hope this chapter can make up for that haha
