Year 2012 

Having his powers for the past two years hadn't been that bad. The break in the wall hadn't been as bad as he first thought it to be. 

That is till an alien army invaded New York City laid by the god of mischief, an broke the wall maybe completely, he wasn't fully sure yet since it and only been a few weeks since the invasion and he somehow ended up being the on to house the rest of the avengers, and Clint Barton. 

That was the first blow to his wall Tony thinks. The first blow finding out that Clint once his best and only friend had been taken by a vengeful god, had awoken the deepest darkest parts of his power. 

And now he's paying the price. Having to stay as far away from the team as possible, because there was just know way  of knowing if it was safe to tell them.

Bruce and forth of July were both mutants. Not born like tony, but still mutants. So not much danger there, and Thor whenever he came back probably wouldn't have anything against him because of his power seeing's how he comes from a place we're people have them to. 

Nat there was no way of telling, but whatever shields views on mutants are, it's a safe bet her a-line. So she's a no-go. And there was no way in hell he was telling Clint. Not after what Tony did to him.

Tony had kept tabs on him over the years. Knew that not more then a week after the school was told Cj died that Clint left the school. And then joined shield when he was 21. And that he has been one of there best agents since. 

The team was in one of the training rooms yet again wondering where Tony was, seemingly having chosen not to come down to train with them.

"What's his problem anyways nat?" Clint asked shooting another bullseye. "Does he really think that all his money and fancy rowbot suits somehow make him to good to come down an do a little training with us simple folks."

Nat was about to tell him that despite what he and the papers say tony actually is a very busy man, having taken on the press and finales responsibility's of the invitation fall, that out they'd be facing if it weren't for him. 

But she didn't get the chance because the man himself walked into the training room looking like he hasn't slept in weeks. But still putting in the effort to show up for the team.

"Well look how finely designed to show up half an hour late I might add." Cap said when he saw tony walk in. 

"Would have been here sooner but I got a call from fury.' That got everyone's attention. "'What was the call about more alien technology get into the hands of some villain of the week?" Clint ask coming down from his purch. Tony shook his hand fan a shakey hand down his face.

"Not alien, mutant. They call themselves the brotherhood. And they are far from some villain of the week."

"I'm confused Steve cut in, I'm thinking mutant's where one of the many things that was after my time." Tony signed walked over to one of the benches and sat. 

"Ok listen up and listen good cause I'm only going over this once." The rest of the avengers minus Thor, nodes and sat on the rest of the benches. 

Clint choosing a seat behind tony, most likely wanting to see how everyone reacts to mutants.

"Ok so the brotherhood is an army of mutants who want the order switched  mutant's to rule. There lead  by a every old every powerful mutant Erik lehnsherr, or magneto as his followers and enemy's  know him." 

"Fury called because a group of good mutant's know as the X-men have ask for are help. Help with what"  Bruce asked. 

"Keeping their school and home save from the brotherhood. And since I asked for there help during the invasion I think it's more then fair to repay the favor."

"So." tony said clapping his hands Q&A time. Who first?

They all looked at each other and Bruce slowly raised his hand.'I got one' he asked more then stated.

"shoot"Tony said clapping his hands. 

"ok 1 what school?  2 why are you the one telling us this not fury?  and three this isn't a question, Steve mutant's worn't after your time they just kept to themselves till the 70's when the government wanted to start experimenting on them then there was like a unknown war and no body would hear them to work any more so they didn't really have a chose but to us there power  in bad ways just to keep there family's alive and fead."

'for someone who doesn't take much that was a lot in one go.' Tony stated once bruce had finished. 

'but you are right as usual. as for the  "what school" Charles Xavier's school for the gifted. it's a school and a home to those who need to learn how to us and control there powers, and since most kids with mutant powers parents want nothing to do with them once they get said powers it's also there home.' 

"and I'm telling you because fury is just a little to wrapped up with other things right now to tell you everything after he'd already told me."

"makes sense.' Natasha said. "yeah but what I don't get is why people are so afraid of mutant's?" Steve asked with that lost puppy look. 

Tony signed this was way too many questions. 

"because people are scared of what there can't control, of what they can't and don't understand."

Steve nodded as the thought sealed in. and Tony could tell by the look on Bruce's face that more question's where come so put a stop to it before they could start.

"alright question times over. we leave in two days, and I have a whole crape load of shit to do before we head out. even though I don't want to go."  Tony mummers to himself, but Steve still heard him. "oh? and why don't you want to go. and if they need are help that bad we should be living now not in to days." Steve protested as Tony got up to leave.

"yeah" Clint joined in. "what is it stark you take after your old man and hate mutant's to? or is it your just scared."

"because." Tony said not trying to hide the anger in his voice. " magneto power is the manipulation of iron. he can pull it right out of someones blood. so within to cross of the next 48 hour's I has to make sure to remove any and all iron all of your gear weapons and amo. and as for why I don't want to go, it is because I'm not any use without my metal suit and incase anyone here has forgotten my chest is full of fuckin' metal so forgive me for not wanting to walk into that."

and with that Tony walked out.
