The battlefield was a scene of absolute devastation. The air was thick with smoke and the ground trembled beneath the weight of tanks and heroes alike. The fate of existence hung in the balance as our most beloved heroes fought tooth and nail against the forces threatening the entire multiverse, while the incursion was in full effect.

Hulk and She-Hulk teamed up with 838 Hulk to take on the tanks on the ground, while Sentry, Captain Marvel, Ikaris, and the two Thors flew high above, fending off enemy aircraft.

The battle raged on, with the Wakandan army and the US military standing strong against the enemy's advances. But despite their best efforts, the odds seemed insurmountable. Buildings crumbled, cars exploded, and the bodies of innocent civilians littered the streets.

The X-Men made first contact with one of the Kangs, Immortus. Naturally the Fantastic Four of 838 teamed up with our Fantastic Four to take on Dr Doom.

The Eternals and the Midnight Suns took on the second Kang, Rama Tut. All of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy faced two other versions of Kang simultaneously, The Conqueror and Scarlet Centurion.

Prime Kang couldn't care less about this war, it was merely meant to be a distraction. His sights are only one thing and one thing only, Wanda. He made quick work of anyone trying to stop him from getting to her as he slowly paved a way toward her, leaving a trial of bodies behind him as he slowly walked into Wanda's direction.

The Paragons of the Multiverse were assigned to protect Wanda from anyone that comes close to her. Loki, Ant-Man and Sylvie decided to join the Paragons.

Spider-Man (MCU), Doctor Strange, Magneto and Vision chose to stay by Wanda's side as well. They all stood in front of Wanda as they looked at Prime Kang slowly walking toward them.

The last time Wanda experience this much fear was when she saw Thanos approaching Vision. This time she didn't only fear for Vision, but for everyone who may die just to protect her... And she feared what Kang will do once he takes her power... But she also feared for her own life. She felt guilty for not being able to help or wanting to use her power, but she was too weak and emotionally drained to do anything. She froze in place and looked at Vision in angst with her saddened and tired face, red from all the tears she's cried during the course of the day ever since this morning on her Island. Vision saw her inner struggle and touched her cheeks gently.

Vision: Don't worry Wanda. Everything will work out the way it's supposed to.

She took small gasps for air in angst.

Wanda: But what if it doesn't... I can't keep going through this over and over and over again...

Vision: You won't have to, I promise.

Wanda: You can't... Make such a promise. It's just... If you die again...

She began to whimper once again. Vision embraced her as he completely understood what she felt.

Vision: (Sighed) Wanda... Look at me. It will be alright. I promise.

Wanda: (Snuffles) I can't keep doing this. What if this time you never come back!? You don't have to be here. Y-You can go away. I can't lose you... (She whispers) I can't lose you. Not again...

Spider-Man: Hold on to hope Wanda. Hope will get us through this. Remember what The Watcher said. You are destined to be The Harbinger of Hope.

Captain America spoke up and began talking to the Paragons.

Captain America (Steve): Okay people, like we discussed, eyes up, stay close... Remember, the only reason he has all this power is because it is all stored inside the devices on his wrist. If we can remove that, then he's just human.

Captain Carter: We have to be fast, don't give him a chance to think or fight back.

Jean Grey (Phoenix): I think I can get inside his mind. He is too powerful on the outside. We must fight him in his own mind.

Professor X: Jean... That's actually not a bad idea, but his mind is far too powerful... You and I have to do it together, but I fear we might need Wanda to help with this one as well.

Wanda: M-Me? But I... Can't. I'm... Too weak... I can barely stand on my feet.

The Watcher: I'll distract him for a little while longer to give you more time.

Supreme Strange: I'll help you.

The Watcher and Supreme Strange began charging toward Prime Kang who was still a few meters away. Supreme Strange summoned a dragon that began spitting fire into Kang's direction while The Watcher blasted Kang with his cosmic energy, but Kang blocked it with ease. Supreme Strange then tried to form a pocket reality around Kang so that he could be trapped inside, but Kang shattered the barrier into pieces and crushed the dragon's heart with his powerful telekinesis.

Prime Kang: There is nothing you can do to stop me... What don't you understand? This whole fight is pointless.

Supreme Strange: You really don't get it, do you? There is no version of this... Where you come out on top.

The Watcher created multiple illusions of himself around Kang and began punching him with unfathomable force from all sides.

Supreme Strange summoned thousands of rats that began tearing through Kang's armor. Kang turned the rats into ash with a single burst of energy, but they already did their part. The devices on his wrist was damaged, but not broken. Kang was angered.

Prime Kang: Enough!

Kang tried to crush Supreme Strange's head, but the magical shield around him prevented Kang from being able to. Kang then lifted up multiple rocks and threw it on top of Supreme Strange, but he quickly turned the rocks into snakes.

Prime Kang: Why won't you die!

The snakes began attacking Kang, but he held out his hand and burned them alive.

The Watcher: You have no idea what you're doing. Stealing Wanda's power will remove balance in the multiverse!

Prime Kang: I will bring order to the multiverse... And nothing will stand in my way.

Kang pointed his hand in The Watcher's direction and began attacking his mind. The Watcher fell on his knees while screaming in agony.

The Watcher: (Grunts in pain) Order... And balance... Are two... Separate things.

Prime Kang: Balance is overrated.

Before Kang could kill The Watcher, The Thing (Original) unexpectedly punched Kang from the side, The Incredible Hulk picked Kang up on his left foot and threw him toward the original Hulk (2003), he punches Kang to the ground. Our Doctor Strange created magical chains on Kang's arms and legs. Dr Octopus grabbed each of Kang's wrist devices with his mechanical arms in an attempt to remove it from him, but as soon as Kang got the chance to think, he immediately broke free and continued to fight them.

The rest of the Paragons still stood around Wanda, shielding her from hostiles. Multiple walkers (Walking tanks) with infantry units and doombots attacked them from all sides. Jean Grey and Professor X was standing next to Wanda with their eyes closed as they tried to focus on telepathically connecting with Kang's mind. Wanda was holding Vision's hands while focusing. Wanda opened her eyes in frustration as she was unable to help.

Wanda: I'm sorry, but I can't.

Professor X: Clear your mind Wanda. You are one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse. You are supposed to be able to do this without breaking a sweat.

Wanda: I am trying!

Jean Grey (Phoenix): Wanda... I can sense what's causing this. It is partially your injuries, yes, but it's something more. You fear your own power, you don't want to use it because of what this power has made you do to innocent people, but trust me... I know what it's like.

Professor X: Make it quick, he's coming!

Jean Grey (Phoenix): The Phoenix is not so different from the Nexus entities inside you. I was once overwhelmed with my powers too. I... I even killed one of my friends, I killed innocent people. They saw me as a monster too, but I learned to live with my power, I learned to control it. Your power is of such a high level that your own mind is subconsciously blocking you from unlocking your true potential. You have to let go.

Wanda: I can't do it!

Mr Fantastic: Sue! Shield Wanda with your powers! Johnny, Tony, keep these doombots pre-occupied! Jean, Venom, Natasha, take out the soldiers.

Venom: Yeah! More bad guys to snack on!

Silver Surfer: What can I assist with?

Mr Fantastic: Distract Kang for a little longer.

Invisible Woman (Original) created a forcefield around Wanda. Vision chose to stay with her, so he was also inside the bubble. Mr Fantastic (Original) wrapped his stretching body around one of the walkers, as they tried to open fire, it exploded from the inside out. Jean Grey held out her hand, disintegrating each soldier one by one. Venom jumped around and bit multiple soldiers' heads off while Black Widow shot each and everyone in the head with her pistol. Iron Man flew into the air and shot multiple soldiers and doombots from a distance while also ensuring no aircraft gets near them. The Human Torch flew around burning multiple doombots and putting all of their attention on him. Captain America and Captain Carter teamed up and jumped on top of one of the walkers while pegging their shields into its back, making it short-circuit and fall down. A giant walker then appeared in front of them out of a portal. The Spider-Mans looked up at this very large machine in awe.

Spider-Man (Tobey): Oh crap.

Spider-Man (Andrew): You can say that again.

Spider-Man (Ps4): I think I got an idea. You remember that really old Star Wars movie? What's it called...

Spider-Man (MCU): (Interrupts) Empire Strikes Back! I've actually done this before!

Spider-Man (Tobey): Okay so we just swing around it while webbing it up? Then what?

Spider-Man (MCU): We improvise.

Spider-Man (Ps4): Don't worry, Spider-Cop does that all the time.

Miles: Uhhgg not this again.

Spider-Man (Tobey): Did you just refer to yourself in second person?

Spider-Man (Andrew): I also do that... Sometimes... What? I am literally you. Don't judge me.

Spider-Man (MCU): Guys! Focus!

Spider-Man (Andrew): Right, giant walking robot, got it.

The four Spider-Mans as well as Miles Morales swinged around it while webbing its legs together. Our Spider-Man then webbed its head and dragged it down, causing the walking machine to fall to the ground.

Nick Fury finally arrived with S.W.O.R.D. Some of the former Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as well as the Defenders arrived with him. They were teleported onto the battlefield. It was Quake (Daisy Johnson), Mack, Mockingbird, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, the LMD Phil Coulson and Melinda May.

Quake: Okay guys, remember what Fury said, fight like your lives and existence depended on it. Because it does.

Iron Fist: Let's do this!

Jessica Jones: I can't believe I'm in some stupid cosmic war for the multiverse... I don't even know what that is!

Mack: Just do as you're told and don't ask questions. Trust me. It's a lot easier that way.

They teamed up to fight the armies together. Iron Fist and Luke Cage stood back-to-back, Quake touched the ground and caused an earthquake within a small radius, letting the soldiers fall to the ground. Mockingbird fought them with her stick, Mack sliced through them with his axe while Jessica Jones threw everyone around like ragdolls. Coulson and May fought side by side as well.

Captain Marvel spoke to Fury on comms.

Captain Marvel: Took you long enough.

Nick Fury responded from within his flying S.W.O.R.D ship.

Nick Fury: Sorry I was a little pre-occupied trying to get the Talokans on board...

Captain Marvel: The what?

Suddenly the entire army of Talokan teleported onto the battlefield using S.W.O.R.D tech. Namor stood in front of them as their king. Shuri was shocked to see them since the last time they were enemies of Wakanda, but later became neutral. She then walked towards Namor, still angered at him for her mother's death, but she has forgiven him after letting go of her vengeance. She holds out her hand to shake his, but he refuses.

Namor: We're here to fight on behalf of the survival of our people.

Shuri: Then let's face them together.

Namor: Talokan! Attack!

The talokan army began charging toward the enemy and they officially joined the fight. Meanwhile, Nick Fury activated the comms once more and spoke to Captain Marvel.

Nick Fury: Oh and I picked up someone who claims to know you guys, we found him in space, he was on his way here.

Adam Warlock flew out of the S.W.O.R.D ship and flew next to Captain Marvel. Groot looked up at the sky.

Groot: I am Groot!

Captain Marvel: Hey golden boy! What took you so long.

Adam Warlock: Oh I don't know, maybe it has to do with the fact that you all left me alone, defending an entire planet from a Kree invasion.

Photon: (On comms) Welcome to Earth, I guess.

Prime Kang was taking the Paragons out one by one, he didn't bother to kill them as he was in a hurry to reach Wanda, but he managed to knock out Supreme Strange, Dr Octopus and The Thing. He continued to walk in Wanda's direction, unfazed at anyone trying to stop him. The Incredible Hulk charged toward him, but by this point Kang just about had enough of these Hulks, so just as Hulk tried to punch him, he deals a massive blow to his head. Hulk falls to the ground unconscious. He lifts the other Hulk up from the ground with telekinesis and threw him to the ground with such force that it sent him through the earth's crust. Kang blasted him with cosmic energy which he took from Silver Surfer and buried him deep underground. Kang then continued to walk further. The Spider-Mans ran toward him and attacked him from all directions, jumping through portals all around Kang which was opened up by our Doctor Strange. The Spider-Mans tried to fight him, but he felt none of their punches. Venom jumped in front of him, but he activated a sound frequency that completely disoriented Venom as he screamed in pain.

Elsewhere, the X-Men was still facing Immortus while simultaneously trying to hold off the army, but they were losing. Not even the Phoenix of 838 was enough to face him. Wolverine was overwhelmed by soldiers and doombots surrounding him. He screamed in anger while slicing through them with his metal claws.

Wolverine: Rrrrrraaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!

Cyclops shot Immortus with his optic blasts from his eyes but he blocked it with one hand. He was choking beast with his other hand while his right foot was standing on top of Colossus. Jean Grey of 838 flew at immense speed into him, but he used her own telepathic abilities against her and made her own mind attack her from the inside. She fell in front of his feet unconscious. Storm's lightning did nothing to Kang as she flew in the air continuously electrocuting him.

Inmortus: What don't you people understand? Fighting us is useless.

A few blocks away, the Eternals and the Midnight Suns were struggling against Rama Tut. Deadpool, Blade and Punisher were surrounded by soldiers.

Punisher: Die!!! All of you!!!! Die!!!!!!

Some of the Eternals as well as Black Knight and Scarlet Scarab were already defeated. Kingo, Druig and Sersi were knocked out already. Phastos tried to tie him down with his advanced technology, but Rama Tut was too powerful to hold. The combined strength and super-fast reflexes of Thena and Ikaris was a challenge for him, but only for a moment. He eventually got the upper hand. Surprisingly the only two still standing against him was Daredevil and Moon Knight, only because he was too pre-occupied with the rest.

Moon Knight: I've heard stories about you. Didn't think it was real.

Rama-Tut: Not on your timeline, but yes. You should know, then, what I am capable of. I single handedly conquered all of Egypt and the entire ancient world on my timeline. Even the first mutant, Apocalypse himself, submitted to me. What do you think you will do with your fists?

Daredevil sensed the devices on Rama-Tut's wrist, allowing him to have all this power.

Daredevil: You're just a man, that means you are just as vulnerable as us. That also means I can beat you, just like everyone I've beaten before. Just like Wilson Fisk, The Hand, Bullseye... You get the idea.

Daredevil and Moon Knight began attacking him, trying to depower his suit, but he quickly got the upper hand. Luckily they were soon aided by the Defenders, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.

Iron Fist: Long time no see, old friend.

Daredevil: Took you long enough. How's K'un L'un these days?

Iron Fist: I wouldn't know, wasn't there in a while.

Luke Cage: So. The Defenders are back together again. Let's kick some ass.

As the Defenders continued to fight Rama Tut, The Fantastic Four of 838 (Minus Mr Fantastic) and our Fantastic Four were persistent in facing Dr Doom since they already know all his moves and strategies since he is essentially their rival.

He overpowered them by immeasurable amount of levels, but their intelligence and smart thinking proved to be a challenge to Doom, but it also lasted only for a short while until he got the upper hand, he managed to take out one of the Sue Storms (MCU Invisible Woman) and also 838 Johnny Storm (Human Torch).

Mr Fantastic: Sue!

The Thing: That was a mistake!

The Thing (838): Listen metalhead! I'm gonna rip ya inta pieces!

Dr Doom: How long will we keep doing this dance until you finally understand that you will never beat me. I am Victor Von Doom!

Human Torch: And I am pissed!

He blasted Doom with his fire while the two Things punched him from both sides, but Doom took both their heads and smashed them into each other. Invisible Woman tried sneaking up on him using her invisibility, but he immediately sensed her behind him and grabbed her throat, then he threw her at Johnny.

Dr Doom: You never learn.

Our Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and the remaining heroes of 838 had it the worst as they took on both Scarlet Centurion and The Conqueror. Needless to say, they were losing badly.

The Conqueror even managed to take Shang-Chi's rings from him and use them as his own. The battle seemed completely one-sided as the enemy pushed through the heroes as if they were nothing, all the while the incursion was still actively destroying the entire planet, with no way of stopping it. As of now, there was maybe a glimmer of hope left, if any, a hope that somehow they would come out victorious, but at what cost?
