Quarantine School Part 2

Full Title: The Adventures of the Last Days of Quarantine School

Your last year of high school with Peter Parker was... eventful, to say the least. The pandemic had made that year a year of wearing masks if you went in person or doing zoom class. You and Peter decided to stay in the Avengers compound and do online school. You two chose to do this for a few reasons.

One: it was super easy and fun to be "present" in a zoom call while hanging out with the others. You and Peter often chilled in the 'living room' with earbuds in, pretending to be paying attention but actually screwing with each other. And that was only when the teachers enforced the camera on rule. If it wasn't enforced, you two would put your laptops on the table (mics and cameras off) and do anything else. You guys were smart enough to just ace the classes anyway.

Two: it was even easier to blow off school and go on any missions necessary. Before, you and Peter would have to figure out how many of each class you had each missed and then decide if you could go on the mission. This year? The school wasn't counting absents against the students because so many things could be going on that it was fair.

Three: you could do school from anywhere. There were times where, while out on missions, you and Peter would be able to do a bit of zoom in the hotel rooms or with views looking out over where you were. It was super easy to play if off like it was a background, too.

Four: Tony really didn't want people going out regularly and coming back to spread their germs. Doing online school made him less stressed and just much happier in general.

Now, there were also some challenges.

"Miss Banner, Mr. Parker, is there a way you guys can go somewhere quieter? It's extremely loud every time you unmute to answer questions," our teacher, Mr. Deacon, asked you two. You were in the middle of a lesson on gamma radiation and the Avengers in another part of the hotel room were being very loud. It was all of them in that one room, talking very animatedly. It's not like they had their own rooms or anything... oh wait.

You sighed and rubbed the back of your neck. Unmuting, you said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Duncan, but we really can't go anywhere else and have it get quieter... the, uh, other rooms of the house are, uh, having construction done on them..."

Nobody else was supposed to know the Avengers were in Tokyo right now. And everyone was under the impression that Peter Parker and his friend from the Stark Internship (Y/n) Banner were at your house. Not facility, house. Oh, and Banner was just a common last name. There were a lot of secrets.

Mr. Deacon sighed and shook his head. "It's fine, we can continue. If you have any questions or answers just raise your hand and type in the chat so I see it," he said. The class moved on. You and Peter looked at each other from across the room and looked annoyed at the other together.

~~

The next week, you were all back at the facility. You were hanging out in your room and Peter was in his. This was another one of those classes where you had to have the camera on as well, so you pretended to nod along while not paying any attention to your astronomy teacher, Mr. May. It wasn't his fault the class was boring.

It was your turn to answer, so you had the mic on. When you were about to rattle some stuff off about the moon, a loud breaking noise, followed by a crash, and then a thud echoed through your room.

You looked over to the side quickly, noticing Clint was now laying on the floor of your room. Silently, you thanked the Gods that that all happened off camera.

"Miss Banner, is everything okay over there?" Mr. May asked.

You were barely paying attention to them, but enough to give them a sort-of answer. "Yeah... uh, yeah sorry Clint just fell out of the vents..." you said glancing back and forth between them and Clint on the ground. Finally, you leaned forward and looked at Clint closer. "Hey man, you good?"

~~

Peter sat at the kitchen table for his next class. There were others in the kitchen area with him, but they were being quiet and respected Peter's class time.

He was in history where his teacher, Mrs. Austin, was going through all the presidents. There was no real reason, she was just talking about each one and the most memorable thing they did and how their term ended. Most of the discussion was 'they did this terrible/terrific thing, then they weren't re-elected because the people hated them/they respectfully chose not to run for a third term. It was boring for Peter.

Mrs. Austin must've sensed Peter's boredom, however, because she suddenly asked, "Peter, who is the next president I'm going to bring up?"

He froze for a second and thought to see if he could remember any conversation. The only thing he could think of was the addition of Hawaii and Alaska as states, so he said, "John F Kennedy?" There was obvious unsureness in the answer, but it was an answer.

She nodded and Peter let out a happy sigh. "JFK?" Bucky Barnes suddenly asked while Peter was still unmuted. "Pretty sure I killed that guy."

Peter when pale and said, "Mr. White Wolf sir, you have to be quiet! They can hear you!"

"Oh shit-"

~~

Today, you decided to sit in the living room with some earbuds in and with the camera on. This wasn't a class the camera was required, but you liked Ms. Bulsara so you kept yours on. Another reason you kept your on was because you were alone in this part of the facility today, seeing as how most everyone else was outside enjoying a new pool Tony just had installed. It wasn't a boring pool, it was a fun one with a bunch of different slides, a diving board, a waterfall, a-

"Ah, young Banner!" a voice suddenly boomed, causing you to jump and accidentally unmute yourself. "What are you doing? What is this device? Who are those people?" Thor was now right behind you pointing at all of the things all over your screen.

Everyone else in the class was shocked at the literal God of Thunder looking at them and speaking. He was also shirtless from being outside in the pool. It was a fun sight for all of them.

You just sighed and decided to explain, not quite realizing you weren't muted anymore. "Well, this is my laptop where I'm doing a Zoom class. The other people are my classmates and then there's Ms. Bulsara, my teacher," you explained.

Thor nodded his head and made a noise of understanding as you explained. When you were done, he waved and shouted, "Hello there people of Zoom! I am Thor, God of Thunder!" His voice was booming in your ears, and you couldn't help but laugh at his innocence.

"Thor, they can't hear you, I'm on mute," you said as you turned to look back at the screen. It was when you moved your mouse and went to point at the muted icon that you realized you actually weren't muted. "Oh shit-"

~~

You were back with your science teacher, Mr. Deacon, today, continuing the discussion on gamma radiation and stuff. You and Peter decided to do this one while hanging out outside by the pool. The others were inside playing games and eating food so it was just you and Peter relaxing in the sun.

It was your last science class with Mr. Deacon, and today he just wanted to talk through the different gamma theories by request of some of the others in class. He was talking animatedly and had requested everyone be unmuted so they could jump in at any point and add on. You and Peter didn't plan on doing so, but unmuted because he was being firm on this.

"Hey (Y/n)! What are you doing?" your father asked and came walking up to you.

This time, you knew you were unmuted, so you were about to hush your father. Instead, Mr. Deacon spoke up. "Excuse me, whoever that is, I'd appreciate it if you didn't interrupt our discussion on gamma radiation theories? One of our students has requested this topic and we shouldn't be rude to her," he said.

Bruce Banner then popped up on screen next to you, and Mr. Deacon went pale. "Gamma radiation theories? I may know a thing or two about that..."

~~

Peter was chilling in his Avengers Facility room, chilling at his desk with the camera on. Mr. Taylor was the biggest stickler on that sort of thing, so he made sure to keep it on always.

A knock at the door interrupted Peter's thoughts. He quickly yelled, "Come in!" Then, he turned his camera off for just a second to see who it was and what they wanted.

"Mr. Parker, keep that camera on, please!" Mr. Taylor called out. Peter winced and then looked back at Mr. Stark who had just entered the room.

Peter turned around and turned the camera back on. "Sorry, Mr. Taylor," he said quietly.

Mr. Stark came walking up behind and looked at the class curiously. "Oh, kid, is this your zoom class? Sorry, I didn't know you were on with your Zoom class," he said, mainly directed at Peter. Peter expected him to leave after that, but instead he just leaned in closer. "Hello everyone, I'm Peter's dad!"

The kid turned bright red real quick and stumbled out a bunch of noises, finally managing to turn to the class and say, "He's not my dad."

Mr. Stark gasped and turned to Peter. "How dare you."

Graduation day could not come soon enough. By then, multiple vaccines had been approved and sent out to the masses. Tony had ensured all of the Avengers got vaccinated (except Steve and Bucky because the serum made them immune). Now, they could go out in public and be maskless.

So here you and Peter were, sitting with all the other seniors graduating from Midtown School of Science and Technology. The ceremony was being held at the football field of another high school that was much bigger than the auditorium of Midtown.

Up in the stands, all the Avengers sat. They hadn't started being embarrassing yet because they were too busy taking photos with a bunch of fans. What surprised you the most was when your dad even said he was coming. He wasn't big on crowds, so this was super meaningful.

It also surprised you when the ceremony started, everyone left you and Peter's avenging family alone to go back to their own seats and look out for their own kids. After a couple speeches and a moment of silence for the people who passed away that year from COVID, the name calling was started.

Two teachers stood at opposite ends of a huge stage and read names. They staggered and waited a couple seconds before announcing the next person to ensure everyone got their time on the stage getting their diploma and a photo. For every name, the Avengers made sure to clap and show they appreciated everyone. A lot of students did look up to at least one Avenger, so it was super sweet of them.

You were early in the alphabet, being a 'B' and all that. Soon you were up and ready to go on stage.

"(Y/f/n) (Y/m/n) Banner!" Mr. May called out, and you walked up on the stage in your favorite pair of shoes. All of the Avengers cheered loudly, causing the other teacher to have to wait a while before being able to announce the next kid's name.

Even though you were slightly embarrassed, you were so happy that your family was here to support you. A wide smile was plastered on your face as you walked down the stairs and back to your seat. You even waved at the Avengers as they widely waved a you.

Almost another hour passed before Peter was finally up.

"Peter Benjamin Parker!" Ms. Bulsara called out. The Avengers went nuts again, giving Peter just as much love as they gave you, and causing another delay. You even cheered with them since he was your best friend. He cheered for you, too, so it was only fair.

As he walked down the stairs and made his way down the middle, you decided to be a bit impulsive and hopped up from your seat. You ran down your row and got to Peter just as he was about to pass your row. He stopped and smiled widely at you, and the two of you did your secret handshake. When it was over, you pulled him into a huge hug.

After the ceremony was over, everyone threw their caps up and celebrated being done with the worst (yet best) part of their lives. You got a lot of pictures taken with your family and friends, and almost all of them went up on social media. Well, the silly ones at least.

At this point, your identity was out. Everyone knew you were the daughter of Bruce Banner AKA the Hulk. It was okay, though, because now you were heading off to college and that would be a whole new world with all new people anyway.

Back at the facility, you and Peter invited your friends and their families to come over and have a huge graduation party to celebrate all of you. MJ and Peter hung out a lot while you and your (S/O) hung out, too. You still all hung out with everyone else, of course, and had such a blast.

Hopefully you wouldn't lose this.

A/n: I'M BACK BABYYYYY

I know a lot of people have already graduated like, weeks ago, but I do know some schools get out later so their seniors graduate later. I based a lot of the ceremony itself off my brother's graduation ceremony. I'm so proud of him, he's going to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champagne for aerospace engineering! He's gonna leave me all alone lol :(

ANYWAY, who else here graduated this year, and where are you going to college (if you are and you don't wanna share that's okay). I've got another year of high school left and then I'm FREE.

I also just discovered how I can look at the stats of my books and WOW! I have readers from all over the world! And of all age groups and genders! That's just so freaking cool, thank you guys so much for giving this a chance! It's just mind-blowing that people from Australia and Russia decide to read this... I'm like... wow...

Inspiration for this came from an Instagram post I saved like, nine months ago and rediscovered yesterday. Hope you liked it, and don't forget to check out my new TikTok account! More info on that in my bio!

Bye Lovelies!!!!!!!!!
