For Adwitiya Part 2

For Adwitiya Part 2

The second half of the request I got because part one was nearly 10,000 words... oops

Bruce and Thor stumbled back slightly, and she realized it was because they were standing at the very edge of her bed. "Where the hell is Loki?" she asked, once more.

They ignored her question again. Bruce started to write more stuff down and Thor came back over to the bedside with a relieved look on his face. "Adwitiya! You're alright!" he celebrated. He pointed down to the necklace he had brought out that was still tightly held in her hand. "I thought if you saw something that you held dear, you'd remember."

She looked down at it too, then back up to Thor. "Yes, Thor, very smart idea, but you haven't answered my question. Loki must be seriously injured after that." Finally, Thor nodded and the was all she needed. Adwitiya took the necklace and put it on (even though it didn't exactly match her hospital gown) and started to get out of the bed.

"Hey wait wait wait," Bruce said, putting a hand on her shoulder to stop any further movement. "I just need to make sure everything is okay- you blacked out for a minute there, and let's not forget the whole reason you came here in the first place."

Adwitiya sighed and reluctantly sat back. He was right, per usual. There was a strong possibility that she was internally injured on a level no one was familiar with, because no one was familiar with her powers. The gray area was large when it came to Adwitiya.

"I don't mean to rush you Bruce, but I'm in a hurry," she said with a light tone. The scientist smiled as he finished up checking over her. Thor paced at the front of the room the whole time, muttering to himself every now and then.

"Thor, would you stop pacing and just tell me where I'll be able to find Loki once I can get out of here?" she asked the god.

His pacing ceased and he walked over to you again. "We had to rush him back to Asgard to treat his injuries. Since he's not exactly human, there was worry that he wouldn't get treated properly down here," Thor explained.

Adwitiya nodded and bit the inside of her cheek. "Do you think he'll be okay?" she asked Thor in a much quieter and more hesitant voice.

The God of Thunder couldn't help but hurt when he heard how scared she was. It wasn't unwarranted, but he didn't want to freak her out anymore than he already had. So, he settled with a simple answer. "Asgard has the finest healers at work- per my request. By Odin's beard, they're going to do everything in their power to ensure his recovery."

When she smiled lightly and nodded, Thor internally breathed out a sigh of relief. What he said was the full truth, but he really didn't know how Loki would heal. His injuries were extensive. For crying out loud, a frost giant took nearly the full force of a circle of fiery hell. That wasn't going to go away without its marks.

~~

A couple hours later, with some seriously heavy convincing on Adwitiya's end, Thor was all ready to take her to Asgard. She needed to see Loki in order to calm down and be able to relax so she could recover.

The others were extremely hesitant about it, but Adwitiya was unmoving in her decision. So, the Avengers saw her and Thor off as they were rainbow-beamed up to a new realm.

Their arrival was not very smooth, because Adwitiya wasn't exactly used to such a form of travel. She was lucky in that she didn't spill her guts, but she was very disoriented and a laughing stock to Thor.

"Stop laughing! This is serious!" she scolded once she was able to collect herself. Thor calmed down and nodded at her. "Now, where will we find Loki?"

"In the healers room over in the palace," Thor said.

Another voice contradicted. "I'm afraid that is not true." The two looked over at Heimdall, a person that startled Adwitiya as well as confused her. She had no idea who he was. He turned his attention briefly to Adwitiya and said, "I am Heimdall. I watch over all from my post here."

Adwitiya waved lightly to Heimdall as Thor stepped forward. "What do you mean? That is where I commanded he be brought," he explained.

Heimdall sighed lightly. "Your father didn't agree."

The next thing she knew, Adwitiya was storming into the throne room right behind Thor to go confront the All-father, Odin. "Father!" Thor called out in anger as they approached the throne. The man in question shooed away someone and put his attention on the son before him. "What is the meaning of Loki's imprisonment?"

He sighed. "My son, you do not understand how dangerous Loki is. He is a trickster- one that cannot be trusted in any circumstance."

This made it worse. Thor was ready to yell again, but Adwitiya beat him to it. "Are you mad? Loki sacrificed himself to save me from my own powers. He quite literally walked through fire in order to ensure my own safety. And you have the gall to lock him away in a cell where he could bleed out?!" she yelled at him.

Guards that were hidden before suddenly stepped out of the shadows with spears out towards the girl. She looked at them before glancing at her right hand. Blue flames had started to wrap around her forearm as if they were on standby.

Adwitiya shook her hand and the flames dissipated. "You have no right to speak to the All-father this way," a guard spoke up.

"I will speak to him how I wish when he has wrongfully imprisoned the man I love after he saved me," she said in a low voice. Even so, the words echoed around. Thor had to put his excitement at bay when he heard just how much you care for his younger brother.

Odin said nothing and just looked at the two in front of him. After what felt like forever to Adwitiya, the old man finally spoke. "Even if all you say is true, I will not free Loki. He is too dangerous to be freely roaming the palace and this land. All I can allow for you is a single visit before you are to be on your way." His voice wasn't loud, but it was strong and Adwitiya was almost worried at what he would do to her if she didn't follow his rules.

Almost.

Once he was done speaking, he dismissed Thor and Adwitiya. Guards accompanied them out in fear she might burn them. Thor didn't speak until the two had left the throne room and were alone.

"So, shall we visit him?" he asked her. She nodded and the two walked side by side down to the dungeons. While Thor thought her silence was because she was upset, it was actually because she was scheming.

There was bound to be a way to get Loki out of that cell, and she wasn't going home without trying. It's the least she owed him after he sacrificed himself to save her. She still struggled to even get that through her head, but that was a conversation she'd have with Loki another day. Preferably one where she wasn't on a foreign planet and he wasn't in a cell.

The pair turned a corner and Adwitiya couldn't hold back her gasp when she saw Loki in his cell. He looked like he was in so much pain and there were so many burns and so much blood...

"Brother," Thor called out weakly. He was also in agony, seeing Loki like this, and Adwitiya felt bad for him too.

Loki looked over at the pair and relief came over his face when he saw it was his brother and his love, both safe. Adwitiya was the biggest surprise and the biggest relief. "You're okay," Loki said in a volume just above whisper.

"Loki, oh god Loki," she mumbled as she hurried up to the glass-like wall. When she tried to touch it, Thor came up and stopped her hand. "Let me guess, if I touch the glass it will hurt me back?" He nodded.

She sighed and instead looked at Loki. "We're going to find a way to get you out of here, I promise. We just have to figure out how."

The three of them sat around thinking for a moment before Thor had a sharp intake of air, alerting the other two. "Loki, do you think you could cast a realistic illusion right now?"

A moment later, Adwitiya were hiding behind a corner and watched as Thor came running back with a guard in tow. "Quick! He'll kill her!" Thor shouted. The guard did some weird stuff and suddenly the energy wall was lifted. In a split second, Thor kicked the guard into the cell, the illusion dropped, and Adwitiya hurried over to get Loki out of the cell.

Once all of that was done, the energy wall came back down and the guard was trapped. "Goodbye, hope to ever see you again!" she called out behind her and the trio ran away. Loki and Thor were able to navigate out of the palace together, using secret passages and avoiding guards left and right.

On the bifrost, Heimdall spared the group a glance before placing the sword in and getting the bridge ready to go.

"I shall talk to Heimdall for a moment, stay here," Thor said. Adwitiya nodded and let Thor walk away.

Loki decided to ignore the other two in the golden circle with them and hugged Adwitiya with all the strength he had. She tired to hug back gently, but she still wanted him to feel how much she had missed him and how glad she was that he was alive. Maybe not quite okay, but alive.

"I'm so happy to see you alive, dear. I was so worried when I woke up and I was on Asgard with no way of knowing if you made it," he mumbled into her shoulder.

"I felt the same way, except at first I couldn't remember a thing. Thor and Bruce spent forever trying to find ways for me to get my memory back. It wasn't until I held the necklace you gave me that everything started coming back," Adwitiya admitted.

The two stayed in their embrace, not daring to let go until Thor came back over. "All right, let's be on our way back." The two finally came apart so Thor could help support Loki as they went into the beautiful bridge.

When they landed on the other side, Loki nearly fell over. The journey did not do well on his injured state. "Quick, let's get you to the med-bay so Bruce can help you." Loki nodded and then they all went inside.

~~

It was a long month, but Loki was recovered enough to get out of the med-bay. This thrilled Adwitiya to no end. She was happy to see him on his feet without help this time. There were still concerns on letting him out of the tower, in case anything bad happened to him and they couldn't get him the right help.

Adwitiya made the best of it though. The two of them watched a bunch of movies in her room or his, whichever they felt like.

Any missions the Avengers came upon would usually mean everybody goes, but Adwitiya had been staying behind more and more to make sure Loki was okay.

The unspoken other reason, was because she was still paranoid to use her powers again after nearly killing Loki. They didn't know how long it would take before she could use them again, but no one pushed for now.

"How are you feeling this morning?" Adwitiya asked Loki as she saw him wake up.

He smiled at her and planted a kiss on the top of her head. "Amazing now that I see you," he answered. She (carefully) snuggled closer into his side and sigh with content. "We don't have to get up, let's just stay here."

"Sounds like a great idea."
