Babysitter

Tony was down in the lab, like usual, working on an elaborate April Fools joke for his science bro, Bruce. It was a fun joke, really, but Tony couldn't quite figure out the last bit of it. "Come on you hunk of metal, you can help me get you working," Tony muttered to himself. Just as he was wiring something together, you popped in.

"Sup Tony! Whatcha doin'?" you asked innocently.

However, since Tony hadn't heard you walk in, you startled him, and he accidentally touched one wire next to a different one. "Jeez!" Tony yelled, before something shot out of the machine. Tony jumped behind it and hid, while you and everyone else in the tower got affected by it. Once the machine died down, Tony cautiously poked his head out from behind it. "(Y/N)?"

There, on the floor, where you used to be, a small baby was now there. She looked exactly like you and her clothes were exactly like the ones you were wearing, so Tony knew his prank worked.

"Crap! (Y/N)!" Tony exclaimed as he raced towards you. You were now crying hard, but as soon as Tony picked you up, you calmed down a bit. Your (e/c) eyes looked into his chocolate brown ones, and you smiled at him, before closing your eyes and cuddling into his chest. "Oh god you're so cute," Tony mumbled, smiled down at baby you in his arms.

He decided to see what everyone else was like, so he hurried out the lab with you, and up the stairs to the main living room. When he got there, it was different than he expected.

They were kids, unlike you, who was a baby. "Interesting," Tony said quietly. Then Bruce turned around and saw his friend in the doorway.

"Tony!" Bruce yelled. His voice was higher pitched, which threw Tony off big time. "What the heck happened man! Why are we kids and why are you an adult? And what are you holding?"

By now, everyone had noticed Tony and you's presence in the room and were now crowding to see what he was holding. "It's (Y/N). She turned into a baby down in the lab. How are you older kids though?" Tony wondered aloud. He looked around at the group before him.

Thor and Loki were playing around together, Clint and Nat were sitting on top of a cabinet chit-chatting, Bucky was letting Steve rest on him (who had turned back into the walking health problem), Sam was playing with Redwing, and Bruce was reading a book. Then Tony saw teenage versions of Pietro and Wanda walk into the room, with some snacks in their hands, a teenage Vision following Wanda like a lost puppy.

"Look, some how my April Fools prank made everyone younger again, but what I don't get is why (Y/N) is a baby, while you guys are like what, eight to fourteen years old?" Tony said. The group nodded along, and Tony thought for a second, before ultimately decided to look at his tablet and figure out what to do. But he had baby you in his arms and didn't want to just lay you next to him or anywhere.

Turning to Thor, who was probably the oldest of them all, and handed you to him. "Thor, can you watch (Y/N) while I go see how to fix this?" Tony asked the small god. Thor nodded, and a huge grin spread across his face as he took you in his arms, then walked over to Loki so the three of you could have fun.

"Alright, everyone please stay in here, and if you need anything I'll be in the kitchen," Tony instructed. Nat looked at him, one eyebrow raised.

"We still have our adult brain, moron. We know where everything is and what to do," Nat said, rolling her eyes very dramatically. Tony just shook his head at her and left for the kitchen.

In the living room, Bucky continued to sit next to Steve on the couch. Sam was playing around with the two of them with Redwing. Bruce was now sitting closer to Nat, who was talking a bit with Clint. She had put an arm around Bruce and was cuddling into him slightly. Wanda and Pietro were playing with their powers, with Vision watching Wanda, and Loki and Thor were playing with you. They were so sweet.

Until your belly rumbled, and you got really hungry. So, like all babies do, you started crying. "Oh no! Baby (Y/N), what's wrong?" Thor asked you. Well, you couldn't exactly tell him, because you were a baby.

Loki realized this too, and rolled his eyes at his brother. "You big oaf, she can't speak! How can she tell you what's wrong?" Loki sarcastically asked Thor. Then, you thought of an idea. You started patting your belly with both hands, catching the brothers' attention.

"Oh! She's hungry!" Thor exclaimed, before getting up and hurrying to the kitchen. His hammer and cape looked so big on him now that he was smaller. It was a little funny. Loki decided to keep you distracted by playing with you and tickling you a bit.

Meanwhile with the smaller God of Thunder, he was now in the kitchen, trying to find something for you to eat, but....

He had no clue what babies ate. Like, none whatsoever. Instead of trying to figure it out, he walked over to Tony who was writing and typing away. "Man of Iron!" Tony forced himself to look up at the smaller god, and noticed he was looking around in a cabinet.

"Yes, smaller Thor?" Tony replied.

Thor turned back to him and hurried over to him. "Baby (Y/N) is hungry, but I have no clue what to feed her," Thor responded to him, scratching the back of his neck. Tony realized he didn't know either.

He was about to respond, when he heard a scream. "WHAT THE HELL? TONY!"

Tony got up and walked towards whoever yelled that while Thor followed, but neither were too eager to face the person that scream belonged to. When Tony was in the living room, he saw Pepper standing in the center of all the small children, with them all crowding around. Even Loki had picked up (Y/N) and brought her to Pepper, so she could say hi.

"Tony, what happened?" Pepper asked, calmly, trying not to punch Tony HARD in the face.

"What makes you think it's my fault?" Tony asked. Pepper gave him a really look- hands on her hips, head turned to the side, eyebrows up. Tony sighed and gave in, knowing that look meant Pepper knew. Even after they broke up, they stayed great friends and she still helped him with the company, and she still knew everything about him.

"Okay, prank backfire. (Y/N) turned into a baby and the rest are little kids," Tony explained, short and sweet.

Pepper took a deep breath and gently lifted you from Loki's arms and held you. You were still upset because of your rumbling belly. "Aww, what's wrong?" she asked.

"I think she's hungry," Loki responded. Pepper nodded and then started walking away.

"I know just the thing for her. Tony, you stay and keep the children occupied. Maybe a movie-"

As soon as the word 'movie' came out of her mouth, the kids all crowded around Tony chanting "Movie! Movie! Movie!" Tony just sighed, and Pepper left to go to the store and buy you some baby food. He showed no opposition to the idea, so Tony sat on the couch and started to look on the TV and the TV apps for a good movie. While he did that, the kid-Avengers all scrambled into seats to watch.

~Two Hours Later~

Tony was about to fall asleep on the couch. The team just watched Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back and Tony was extremely tired. The team, however, loved it and almost everyone was bouncing off the walls. There was popcorn everywhere, and all the candy was gone. They were all going to regret that in the morning.

Sam, Steve and Bucky were sitting on a chair together, Bucky making sure Steve doesn't get sick; Nat and Bruce were cuddled up together on the floor, with Clint watching and making sure Bruce doesn't hurt his best friend; Thor and Loki were play wrestling; Vision was chatting with Wanda; Pietro was trying to prank Clint.

The elevator dinged, waking Tony up instantly and the group simultaneously snapped their heads to look and see who it was. Peter Parker walked in to the room and was instantly taken back by the kids and a somewhat tired looking Tony.

"M-Mr. Stark? What happened?" Peter asked. The small team ran over and tried to hug Peter, but he ended up getting tackled. He let out a scream as he went down.

"You okay kid?" Tony asked, trying his hardest not to laugh. He only got a groan in response. "Kids! Be careful with Peter! He's just a teenager!" Tony yelled. They all climbed off of Peter and then they all proceeded to play, getting him out join.

The elevator dinged again a few minutes later, and Pepper walked in with a pampered (Y/N) at her side. "I decided to treat (Y/N). Might as well spoiler her," Pepper said, still holding the sleeping baby in her arms. "She's fed and is resting. Looks like al of you should rest, really. It's getting late," Pepper continued. She handed sleeping (Y/N) to Tony and started getting everyone to their rooms.

"I don't want to be alone!" Bruce whines. Nat was there next him, and Clint was beside Nat.

"Stevie and I are staying together. I don't want him to get sick," Bucky whined, and soon the big group of kids became a whining mess.

Pepper lifter her arms up to get everyone's attention. "Alright! You can all sleep out here. Peter, you need to get home to May," Pepper said. "Besides, I really don't think you're going to want to deal with all of this."

"That's fair. I can talk with Mr. Stark tomorrow about my suit and stuff," he said. Peter waved his goodbyes and left.

Tony was left lying on the couch, holding baby-you close. Bruce, Nat, Clint, Thor, Loki, Steve, and Bucky all cuddled around the two of you as well. Wanda, Pietro, and Vision all cuddle together on a chair, already asleep. Well, technically Vision just shut himself down for the night.

Pepper smiled at the group, and gave everyone a soft goodnight before leaving. Steve cuddled into Bucky, Sam was next to Bucky, and Bruce had curled up into a ball. Nat scooted over to Bruce and decided to cuddle next to him. Clint was closest to Tony, besides you, and Tony draped a protective arm around him. Thor and Loki were sleeping next to each other on Tony's other side. They all settled and slept peacefully.

~Next Morning~

"WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING NEXT TO BARNES?"

Suddenly Tony and the rest of the, now adult, team woke up. Everyone looked around.

Wanda, Pietro, and Vision were still happily cuddling with each other, even though Pietro had woken up. "What are you doing? Be quiet so you don't wake Wanda up," Pietro said.

The team continued to try and gather their thoughts, before all realizing they were cuddled together. Everyone quickly scurried off of each other except for (Y/N), who was still miraculously asleep and cuddling into Tony.

"Yeah, well I'm going to take a shower," Clint grumbled, before the rest of the adults mumbled their agreements and other responses. The room soon emptied as each person went off in their separate (ish) directions, which left you and Tony alone.

Tony and you stayed on the couch, all cuddled up, before you finally woke up. "Ugh. What happened yesterday?" you asked Tony.

He smiled at you and kissed your temple. "Oh you know, a simple prank back fire that turned you into a baby and the rest of the team into small children and annoying teenagers. The usual," Tony explained.

You nodded, before cuddling back into Tony's warm embrace. "That's cool. I'm also going to stay here until I need to eat."

~Fin~
