You stared at Bucky as he sat on the table, dressed in a white tank top with a black cap over his left shoulder. Doctors surrounded him, but when you finally got close enough to him you met his eyes with an uneasy expression.
"Are you sure about this?" you asked. He shook his head slightly.
"I can't trust my own mind," he replied with a small smile. "So until they figure out how to get this stuff out of my head I think going back under is the best thing. For everybody."
"Leave it to you to protect others before yourself," you chuckled.
"I'm a soldier. That's what I do," he said, looking down. You came closer to him, lifting his chin with your hand.
"Well this isn't goodbye, Bucky. I'll see you again soon," you comforted. He gently grasped your hand in his and kissed it lightly.
"I love you," he whispered.
And before you knew it, you were watching the cold mist surround him as he slipped into a deep sleep.

Gazing out the window woefully , you listened to the light footsteps on the floor as T'Challa slowly sauntered up from behind you. He stopped to look at you, then at the window.
"Thank you for this," you mumbled.
"Your fiancé and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace..." he drifted off.
"You know if they find out he's here they'll come for him," you worried.
"Let them try," he replied softly. You turned your gazes to the mist, peering through it to marvel at the black panther which sat looming over the cliffs.

"It's a pleasure to see you again Ms. Y/L/N," T'Challa greeted, shaking your hand. You smiled slightly at him.
"The pleasure is mine, King T'Challa."
"You are here to see the White Wolf?" he asked. Your eyebrow raised at the name he used.
"White Wolf? When did that happen?"
"His days of struggling against HYDRA's grasp are over. It is time for him to have a new identity," T'Challa explained.
"Agreed. Is he in the same place he was when I left?" you inquired. T'Challa chuckled.
"Not quite."

The aircraft landed on the ground, jolting you to the side. Once you recovered, you looked to a woman for directions.
"To the left. Go until you find him," she said. Complying, you strapped on your backpack and set foot on the ground, watching as they were lifted back into the air and carried away, leaving you alone. You turned on your heel and walked for a few minutes, finally arriving at the top of a hill where an unexpected sight greeted you. At the bottom of the hill was a hut surrounded by goats, and among them a man dressed in overlapping cloths, tossing bags with only one arm. The distance made him hard to recognize, but you knew your fiancé when you saw him.
"Bucky," you whispered quietly to yourself. Your breath caught in your throat and your knees felt weak as you dropped your bag on the ground. As if by some unknown force, your legs began propelling you down the hill.
"Bucky!" you desperately screamed as you bounded toward him. He whipped around, ready to defend himself, but when he saw your face his expression softened.
"Y/N," he grinned, dropping everything as he ran to meet you. His smile spread further with every step that he took, and when he collided with you your bodies became intertwined in a tight embrace. For a few long moments, you stood there silently, breathing each other in while tears slowly fell from your eyes.
"It's been so long," you beamed, pulling back and looking into his sparkling eyes. "It started to feel like you would never come back."
The radiant glow of his smile was ever present as he looked down at you. "I'll always come back."
In all the excitement you hadn't gotten a very close look at him yet, but as you stood back you noticed something that you couldn't quite ignore. You stifled a laugh and covered your mouth with your hand, causing him to shrink back slightly.
"What? Is there something on me?" he wondered.
"Honey, you know I love you," you began, taking a lock of his hair in your fingers. "But we've got to do something about this. You're a little bit on the greasy side."
He chuckled and grabbed your wrist gently, pulling it away from his hair. "Yeah well, I don't have a lot of shampoo around here. I don't have a mirror either, so it's easy to ignore it."
"Well, are you going to give me the grand tour?" you asked.
"I can, but there's not much to see. I can show you inside the house if you want?" he offered.
"Sounds good."
He grabbed your hand and lead you inside his hut, which consisted of a stove, some blankets and rugs, and pots and pans stacked on top of a little table. In the corner of the room was a bed, and on top of it a tiny white goat.
"Aw! What's it's name?" you bubbled. He chuckled and scratched his head, looking at the ground.
"Um... that's Y/N."
"You named a goat after me?!" you yelled.
"Are you offended?" he worried.
"Of course not! This is great!" you squealed, picking up the little goat and holding it to your chest. "I love her!"
"Good, she needs a friend. She doesn't really have any," he said without thinking.
"SAME," you declared, causing him to shake his head.
"Whatever," he laughed. "Hey, do you wanna see something amazing?"
"I'd love to," you grinned. He took you by your hand and lead you out of the house, eventually bringing you to the edge of a forest.
"Are you taking me somewhere so you can kill me and no one will ever know?" you inquired.
"Yep. Let's go," he replied, dragging you into the trees. After what felt like hours, you finally came upon a clearing, and in it was the most beautiful sight you'd ever seen. Before you was a large body of water hidden by bright trees, surrounded by flowers and rocks. Water flowed into it from a roaring stream at the bottom of the mountains, causing sparkling ripples to dance across the surface.
"It's amazing," you sighed contentedly. Then in one quick second your wonder changed to conviction. "I'm going in!"
You ran into the water without hesitation, letting the cool liquid envelope you.
"What are you doing? You're fully clothed!" Bucky chuckled.
"Last one to the waterfall is Sam Wilson!" you exclaimed, quickly swimming to the waterfall.
Bucky stood and smiled as you swam around. It had been forever since he'd last seen you, but having you here with him now was well worth the wait.
