It was the cold that always got to you. The bitter feeling that hung onto your skin whenever the weather went south and whenever you found yourself wrapped in multiple layers of sweats.

Your teeth chattered against each other and you rubbed your hands up and down your arms to try and gain some type of warmth but it wasn't happening, you felt like you were going to freeze by the time Bucky got to bed.

"T-t-thor!" You called and wrapped yourself even tighter in the blankets which only somehow made you colder and created a shiver through your entire body.

Thankfully your knight in shining armour came, wrapped in sweats like you were but eyebrows at the scene infront of him as he stood in the doorway.

"What are you doing?" He seemed flabbergasted but you couldn't form a response as you reached out for him and retracted as your hands felt colder then ever.

"P-please hu-hug me." Your shivers interrupted your sentence and Thor padded over to your body, which was cocooned in blankets and wrapped himself around your body.

Your head rested against his chest and he flinched as your freezing cheek made contact with his bare neck.

"By the gods, y/n." He gasped and your shivering continued but gradually began to ease as his body heat created the warmth you needed.

"You know it's better if we're naked right?" You teased and a small smile lifted the corners of his mouth as his eyes glinted with mischief, "please don't actually get naked."

Please actually do

"Y/n, I would never do a thing like that!" He mocked horror and placed a hand over his heart, as if you offended him in some weird way.

"You would do a thing like that." You muttered as your eyes begun to close, slowly feeling that you were happy and safe. You were warm and knew that he wouldn't care if you fell asleep on him.

It was some time later before you were limp, wrapped in layers of blankets with Thor brushing back your hair.

"Princess?" He whispered and the only response was light snores from your mouth. He tried to contain his laughter as you began to drool but small chuckled escaped his lips.

"Goodnight, gorgeous." Thor mumbled and kissed your forehead before wrapping himself in the blankets with you and drifting off to sleep with his princess.
