Proposal: You laid your head on his shoulder as your eyes seemed to get heavier and heavier. You had both just gotten back from a mission, and you were both extremely exhausted.

But, the mission had scared both of you. There were times where both of you almost died. It scared you to think of Clint gone, and Clint was scared to lose you. He knew it was now or never, especially with his job.

He looked down at you and kissed your forehead. "Y/N?" he asked quietly as your eyes glued shut. You hummed a yes, and he smiled. "You know, I've been thinking. We don't exactly have the most conventional jobs, and thats scary. That mission was scary. I'm afraid to lose you. So that's why I need to ask you this before it's too late. Will you marry me?"

Your eyes immediately snapped open as a rush of adrenaline pumped through your blood. "Are you serious?" You said, searching for his usually joking gleam in his eyes.

It wasn't there.

You smiled and kissed him deeply, and pulled away, only to say a quick "yes!" He smiled and his joking gleam came back. "Well, I guess we can become one bird with two stones."
