A/N: This is my entry to Avengers Bingo Round 4.

It was a cloudy afternoon in New York when you left. After years of combat and daring missions, you felt you had lost your sense of your own life. You even left Steve your suit in a box, the suit of the great Poison, both the suit and your code name, Steve had helped you choose them.

However, Steve couldn't accept your departure so easily, so he was determined that one thing was the last thing he would ever do in his life, bring Poison back!

You settled into a small cabin in the mountains of Colorado, seeking the peace you longed for. Everything was quiet, though you couldn't deny that you missed Steve, and you had been thinking about visiting the X-Mansion, just like before you joined the Avengers.

One day, while walking in the nearby forest, you heard footsteps behind you. Turning around, you came face to face with Steve.

"What are you doing here, Steve? "you asked, surprised.

"I couldn't let you go without trying one more time," he replied, bluntly. We need you, Y/N. I need you."

You looked at him skeptically. But Steve continued.

"I didn't come here to convince you to come back just for the team, but I want you to know that wherever you go, whatever you decide to do, you have a place with us, with me, by my side."

You felt a lump in your throat. What Steve was saying was not just the promise of a return, but the promise of a home and that he accepted you as you are.

You spent hours talking and walking through the woods. Steve told you how the others were doing, the latest missions.

"I know this is selfish," Steve finally said, "but I miss you. I miss your laugh, your strength, your spirit. I know it's your decision, but I want you to know that, for me, the team is not complete without you."

You promised him you'd be back in a month, you wanted to enjoy a little more peace and quiet for the time being, so he decided to stay with you for the month.
