Chapter 17

This is Goodbye

Miranda awakens the next morning and slowly sits up. Lucario sits up right after.

"Good morning," Miranda says.

"Good morning," Lucario says.

"I guess this will be our last day here," Miranda says sadly.

"Yeah," Lucario says somewhat sad.

"Do you wanna leave?" Miranda asks.

"Not really," Lucario admits.

"Yes! I knew you liked it here!" Miranda exclaims.

"Don't overreact," Lucario says.

"Alright, you wanna go wake everyone up?" Miranda asks.

"I thought you would never ask," Lucario says.

They jump out of the bed and run into Tony's room.

...

"Toonnnyyy!" they yell when they get in the room. They jump on the bed and the other pokemon on the bed begin to jump with them.

"Oof! Not again!" Tony yells while getting bounced around.

Miranda plops down next to him. "I have to... today is the last day I will ever see you..." she says sadly.

"Let's not think about it!" Tony yells. "Let's go wake the others."

"Okay..." Miranda says.

They run into Steve's room. "Cap!" They all yell.

"I'm up! I'm up!" Steve yells shooting up from the bed. They jump on the bed anyways and leave to Clint's room.

"Birdy!" They yell jumping on the bed.

"Get off!" Clint yells.

They leave and run into Bruce's room. "Green giant!" Then they run into Thor's room after getting Bruce up. "Thunderer!"

They wake everyone up and they all meet in the hallway.

"I hate when you guys do that," Clint says tiredly.

"That sucks doesn't it? Well you won't have to deal with it tomorrow," Miranda says.

"What? Why?" Steve asks.

"Because we need to go home," Uxie says.

"Now since we can that's where we will be heading," Gallade says.

"You can't go!" Thor yells.

"She must!" Uxie says. "We need to as well."

"Are you really gonna let her go?" Clint asks Tony.

"I..." Tony says but fades out.

"We should leave now," Uxie says. "Before the day begins in our world."

"No, we are gonna eat breakfast first," Miranda says.

She walks down the hallway and everyone follows behind her.

On the Helicarrier...

"I can't believe a 16 year old a girl no less beat my 3 top agents!" Fury yells.

Phil, Hill, and Widow are in the medical lab of the helicarrier in medical beds. They're all wrapped up and slowly being healed.

A light appears in the room and disappears.

"What was that?" Fury asks.

"Look," Phil says looking at his chest.

On Phil, Hill, and Widow's chest are a stuffed pokemon and a letter. The chair that Fury was sitting on has the same situation.

"What the hell?" Fury says.

They all open their letters.

"Dear Phil,

I'm sorry, for everything. I didn't want to hurt you, but you made me. I wish we could've been friends. ~ Love, Miranda

P.S. This Mightyena is for you to remember me by! It reminds me of you."

"Dear Hill,

I'm sorry, for everything. I didn't want to hurt you, but you made me. I wish we could've been friends. ~ Love, Miranda

P.S. This Delcatty is for you to remember me by! It reminds me of your cat like instincts."

"Dear Widow,

I'm sorry, for everything. I didn't want to hurt you, but you made me. I wish we could've been friends. I did like you at first and I wish I would've had a girl to talk to instead of all these guys. Even if I didn't think you would be that girly with me. ~ Love, Miranda

P.S. This Vulpix is for you to remember me by! It reminds me of your hair. The tails remind me of the curliness and color of yours."

"Dear Fury,

I never really met you. I'm sorry, for everything. I wish we would've been on good terms. We could've been friends. ~ Love, Miranda

P.S. This Tyranitar is for you to remember me by! This pokemon is really powerful, just like you!"

"Why would she give us these? She knew we were trying to capture her, so why?" Phil asks.

"I have no clue," Fury says.

...

"Clint! That's mine!" Miranda yells trying to get her food back.

"Too late!" Clint says and eats it.

"Don't have me make Azelf and Mesprit draw on you again!" Miranda yells.

"No!" Clint yells.

"You better give her food back to her then," Mesprit says threatening him with a marker she found.

"Fine, fine!" Clint yells and pushes Miranda's plate back to her.

"Thank you," Miranda says and eats her food.

They finish their food and sit back.

"I can't believe this is the end of our adventure," Steve says.

"I don't wanna go..." Miranda complains. "You have any idea how much crap I'm gonna get when I get back."

"Same for me," Tony says. "I'm gonna have so much work to do."

"Time to go," Uxie says.

"Why now?" Miranda asks. "Can't I just stay for the rest of the day?"

"No, we must go now," Uxie says. "Let's get Cyrus and the others and leave."

Miranda starts to tear up. "I don't wanna leave..."

They all get up and head to where Cyrus and the others are locked up.

"There they are! You better let us out of here!" Mars yells.

"We are. Stop your fussing. We're going home," Miranda says.

Bruce opens up the containment with their pokemon. Miranda stuffs them in her bag. Bruce opens the door to them and Gardevoir traps them in a bubble.

"You can't do this!" Jupiter yells.

"Who says I can't?" Miranda asks. "You threaten me, our world, this world, and everyone alive. What wouldn't let me do this?"

Jupiter becomes quiet and lowers her head. Everyone heads outside.

"This is really goodbye," Bruce says sadly.

Miranda wipes away her tears and returns all her pokemon except Lucario, Gardevoir, and Sparks. She throws a pokeball into the air. "Giratina, Distortion World!"

Giratina is revealed and he opens the portal. Gardevoir along with Cyrus and the others walks into the portal. Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf follow behind.

"I can't believe this is goodbye," Thor says sadly and begins to cry.

"Me either," Clint says wiping away a tear.

"I'm gonna miss you all," Miranda says and weeps. "I'm so grateful to all of you! Thank you all so much!" Miranda hugs them really tight.

"I can't believe this," Steve says wiping a few tears from his face.

"I wish you could go with me..." Miranda says. "But you have to protect your world."

"That's true," Bruce says.

"I love you guys," Miranda says.

"I'm gonna miss you," Tony says. Sparks jumps to Tony's shoulder and rubs against his cheek. "I'm gonna miss you too, Sparks." Tony rubs her head.

Lucario walks up to Tony and sticks out his hand. Tony shakes it. "Thank you for being so great to my master. I am happy that she met you. She has changed all thanks to you. You've opened her heart to others, as well as mine. I'm sorry for my rudeness I've given you before. I do hope we meet again," Lucario says.

"Wow," Tony says speechless.

"That goes for the rest of you as well," Lucario says with a smile. "I am truly grateful."

"No problem," Clint says.

Lucario and Sparks enter the portal leaving Miranda behind.

"I-I can't... I-I don't wanna leave!" Miranda cries and runs into Tony's arms.

Tony hugs her. "I don't want you to either."

"None of do," Bruce says. "You've influenced our lives so much."

"You need to go now," Steve says watching the portal begin to close.

Miranda gives everyone a quick peck on the cheek along with a hug. "I love you guys!" She yells and runs into the portal.

"I can't believe she's really gone," Steve says.

"I can't either," Clint says.

"Tony? You okay?" Bruce asks.

Tony wipes away his tears and turns to him. "No... I wish she never had to leave."

Miranda and the others travel on Giratina to the other side of the Distortion World. They travel to the portal that leads into Turnback Cave.

"Are you alright?" Lucario asks noticing her continuously wiping away her tears.

"No, I wanna stay there," Miranda says.

"I wish we could too," Lucario says.

...

The Avengers return inside the mansion into the lounge. They notice the letters on the table. Each has a name on it address to them.

They each pick up their letter and begin to read.

"Dear Goldilocks,
Thank you, for everything. Thanks for letting me lift your hammer. I wonder why I could lift it? We never found out why. I'm glad you took a liking to all my electric types. They would come back and tell me all about you and what you guys did together. They seemed to really enjoy you. Thanks for protecting me and watching over me. Thanks for caring for me. Thanks for protecting me from SHEILD when we were searching for Uxie. I'm so glad your okay. I worried so much, even if I knew you could handle it. ~ Love, Miranda"

Thor begins to cry again.

"Dear Bruce or Hulk?,
I will begin with Bruce. Thank you, for everything. Thanks for giving me medical care and caring for me. My pokemon would come back and tell me about all the things you do. They were full of scientific terms that I didn't understand. They enjoyed your company and it seems as if you did too.
Now Hulk's turn. I thank you for all the things you did for me. Thanks for being entertaining. I mean that in a good way. I loved watching the interactions between you and Thor. I thought you guys were funny. Thanks for protecting and caring for me. Thanks for being with my pokemon too. They loved comparing the difference between you and Bruce. They liked seeing how you did everything. They would come and tell me everything. I'm glad they liked you. ~ Love, Miranda

Bruce snickers a little at her writing him two different letters.

"Dear Birdy,
Thank you, for everything. I had the most fun with you. I had fun playing pranks on each other. Thanks for protecting and caring for me. I was irked when you took my food from me, but I let it slide, because I liked you. Most people don't survive if they take my food. I had fun shooting arrows together. I will admit you're an amazing archer. I had so much fun showing you up when we taught that class. Sorry for Azelf and Mesprit drawing on your face. It was really funny though! Thanks for hanging out with Staraptor. She absolutely adored you. She would come and tell me all about you. She told me about you watching everything from the roof and other crazy things like that. She had a lot of fun. I'm glad. ~ Love, Miranda

Clint smiles and wipes away a single tear.

"Dear Cap,
Thank you, for everything. I appreciate you being stern with me. I'm glad someone was. Thanks for protecting and caring for me. I can't thank you enough for everything. I'm sorry that I interrupted your chat with Logan. I was just curious. Thank you for watching over me when we were looking for Uxie. Sparks had a lot of fun training with you. She said that you were really good. That's a big compliment coming from Sparks. Infernape and Braviary loved being around you. Braviary liked you from the beginning, probably because you wore the same colors as him. Infernape liked you right after he saw the drawing you made of him. They would always come and tell me all about you. They loved you so much. ~ Love, Miranda
P.S. I didn't see Tony as the only fatherly figure. You were too."

Steve smiles and begins to reread the letter.

"Dear Tony,
Thank you, for everything. Thanks for protecting me and my pokemon from the evil clutches of Widow. I thank you for caring me as if I was you daughter. I wish I was your daughter because then I would have the best dad in the world! Thanks for playing with Sparks when I was out. She had so much fun training that way. Thanks for caring so much and worrying about me. When Jean showed me her memory I couldn't believe what I was seeing. You were really worried about me. I didn't know what else to do, but cry. Thank you for letting me have a shoulder to cry on. Thanks for giving me a place to stay in the mansion and for letting me put stickers on the door. I'm glad I unofficially became an Avenger. I'm glad you let me train my pokemon in the CSR. Sorry that I destroyed your robots. Thanks for coming to my rescue. Thank you for helping me find the lake guardians. Thanks for helping get control over my powers. I had so much fun waking everyone up together. That was the best part of the day! Thanks for hanging with my pokemon! They would come and tell me all about you especially Sparks. She loved you so much. She would tell me all the secrets you had. They were funny! I'm thankful for all you've done for me. I will miss you soooo much! I hope we one day can see each other again! ~ Love, Miranda

Tony tears up and leaves the room.

The end! I can't believe I'm done! I had so much fun writing this story! I will be going back and fixing it! I might even add more to some chapters, I don't know!
