Bang! Bang!

It was 6pm when you walked into the gym to find a sweaty Steve punching the living day light out of a bag.

Bang! Bang!

Seeing him do it over and over again without getting tired amazed you and made you love him more.

"Hey. What's up?" You broke the silence, apart from him punching the bag. He turned round startled at your voice.

"W-what, nothing" he turned around and started punching it again.

"Hey. Somethings up. You normally stop training and talk to me"

"I'm fine, just leave Ella"

"Fine. I'll see you later then, bye"

"Bye" Bang! Bang!

"Love you" you mumble before walking out the gym, knowing he didn't hear it. You didn't want to leave him in that state but if he wanted you to go, and he said it in that way, he really wanted you to leave. You didn't want to leave him. You wanted to give him a hug, a kiss, anything to make him feel better. But, if he didn't even want you in the gym with him, then he really did want to be alone. You walked through the whole tower just thinking, saying hi to whoever passed you, dropping in on Nat to see her then you finally went to yours and Steve's shared room.

You heard the door shut quietly as you opened your eyes to the blinding darkness. You saw a figure walk into the bathroom then minutes later, come back out again. The figure sat down and made the bed dip then laid down fully and wrapped their arms around you. You then knew it was Steve and snuggled into his chest, hearing his soft snores you feel into peaceful sleep once again after checking the time,

The next morning, you awoke to Steve bare chest laying in front of you. He was whispering things in his sleep, you couldn't here then at first but the then they became more audible.

I'm sorry Ella, I'm so sorry for yesterday. I'm sorry Ella, I'm so sorry for yesterday...he was saying, over and over. You laid there for a while just listening to him mumble in his sleep, widely smiling at some of the comments. You shook him lightly, attempting to wake him up gently and when he did, he was startled but then smiled at you.

"I'm sorry Ella, I'm so sorry for yesterday"

"I know, you've said a hundred times in your sleep"

"I did?"

"Yeah, you're cute when you mumble"

"You're always cute" he said kissing your nose as you giggled.

"I love you Steve"

"I love you too, Ella"

"Come on. We need to get up"

"But I'm tired!" He whined.

"Well you did come to sleep at 11pm and it's now 7am, so"

"Yeah but..." He started.

"Yeah but nothing Steve"

"Please Ella, 5 more minutes?"

"Fine, but only 5 minutes" you said, snuggling back under the covers with Steve.

You opened your eyes to find Steve asleep next to you. You check the time and saw it was 10:47.

'No point trying to do anything this morning now.' You thought out loud.

You heard Steve stir next to you and then get up out of bed. He went straight to the bathroom without saying anything to you. You heard the shower turn on then you jumped out of bed. You changed from your pjs into some sweats and a t-shirt then ran down the stairs to go to the lounge. You were met by everyone glances before they turned back around, putting the finishing touches on things. You went to help Nat sort the cake out and to make sure everything was perfect.

Everyone heard the footsteps of the Super Solider come down stairs and they all hid. From your hiding stop you saw Steve look around confused then you quietly told everyone to jump up.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone shouted.

"Happy Birthday" you said from where you were standing, "and Happy 4th of July everybody"

So that was requested by Ella, I hoped you like it because I wasn't really sure what to write then I started and continued. I don't know whether it's cute or not but I hope you enjoyed it!!
