Not an avenger's thing, just a cute little thing I thought of.

FLOWER

She sits at the cafe, listening to her music and sipping her drink. She comes here every Saturday. And every Saturday, she sees her, sitting on a bench just beyond the fountain.

Her hair is cut short, bleached white, and slicked back in a backwards baseball cap. Her large circular glasses sit just passed the bridge of her nose as she looks down at her phone, earbuds in as she listens to whatever is on her phone. She wears a black, long sleeve shirt with the word BROOKLYN written across it in bold white letters, dark blue skinny jeans and black platform boots that come up just passed her ankles.

She looks up suddenly, eyes finding that of the others. The first girl looks away, cheeks heating up, embarrassed that she has been caught.

She looks back after a moment, calming her flashing face, only to find the second girl still looking her way, a small smile on her face. She waves with two fingers and the other shyly waves back before looking away again.

She sips her drink, trying to push away the butterflies in her stomach for a few moments. When she looks back, the other girl is gone.

She looks to and fro, hoping to spot her, but doesn't find her.

She sighs in defeat and slumps in her seat.

The one time the other had noticed her, and she ruined it, wasting her opportunity.

A few more moments pass in silence as the girl finishes her drink, wanting nothing more than to disappear.

She notices something out of the corner of her eye and quickly looks.

A white flower sits next to her empty cup.

She looks up to see her. She smiles down to her.

"Hey."

The seated girl is shocked, her cheeks heating up again, but she doesn't look away.

"Hey," she says quietly, warning an even bigger smile from the other.

"I'm Milo," she extends her hand.

"Y/n," she takes her hand, shaking it gently, smiling softly back to the girl before her, "it's nice to meet you."
