Izuku lines up at the starting hash mark as the countdown for the first match begins. His team consists of a few members from his class and class 1-B with Monoma being a quirk user, Itsuka an Airbender and then Setsuna. From his class Iida, Ochako and Tsu had all decided to join him in order to get through this first event. While there isn't an upper limit on how many people can be in their team, Iida suggested keeping their team small so they wouldn't have to worry as much about protecting everyone through the course. As the last ten seconds begin to count down, Izuku feels a palpable excitement in the air as well as a bit of electricity building up which is odd. He sees Tsu check the three water tubes on her back to make sure that they're secure before she nods to him. When the countdown hits Zero, a loud buzzer sounds beginning the match. Immediately that electric feeling in the air intensifies and Izuku realizes someone is bending lightning. Shooting a look to his left he sees his wife with an evil grin on her face aiming a lightning bolt right at him. "Say Cheese." She says before pointing her fingers towards him firing the bolt of lightning. Immediately, Izuku rushes in front of his team in order to catch and redirect the bolt up into the air. The bolt only served to be a distraction, stalling him and his team long enough for Kyoka to trap them in a dome of rock. Izuku smirks, realizing what his wife is planning, he flexes his abs and inhales sharply, firing a combustion beam from his forehead blasting a hole through the concrete dome. "Seems like Momo is playing dirty." Ochako comments as she bends all the smoke away from them. "Let's get this party started." Izuku grins before sprinting through the hole in the dome with his team quickly following behind him.

Sprinting through the main exit of the stadium, smoke immediately begins stinging their eyes as the first obstacle gets closer and closer. The tunnel itself is pitch black with a reddish glow in the end of the tunnel. "Uraraka, Itsuka, I think it's probably a good idea for you two to make an air bubble." Iida suggests as he holds his uniform undershirt over his mouth to prevent smoke inhalation. The two airbenders immediately begin rotating their hands around themselves generating a massive rotating sphere of air around their team. "Midoriya, Setsuna, Monoma you're on." Iida says as they begin walking into the inferno. Izuku can't help but feel at home surrounded by the inferno with a wide grin on his face, he steps out to a wide horse stance and flexes his hands outwards blasting the flames away from them allowing Ochako ant Itsuka to slowly begin moving the air bubble through the first block. As the two airbenders keep moving their air pocket through the course, Monoma and Setsuna begin controlling the flames that are getting pulled into them. However, they had forgotten a key member of their team for this, an earth bender. The heat from the flames has baked the concrete beneath them to such extreme temperatures that their shoes are melting. Tsu rips open one of the tubes and pulls the water from it, dosing the concrete path ahead of them cooling it down.

"Looks like Team Avatar is thinking outside of the box! They don't have an earth bender but it looks like they don't need one!" Present Mic declares as the cameras on their clothes pick up Tsu dosing the burning concrete and then taking the steam back from the air and condensing it back into water to keep cooling down the pathway.

As they reach a blue mark across the concrete path marking the halfway point, Izuku sees the hair begin to stand up on Ochako's head and then everyone else's as well. He stops his bending for a moment before looking upwards trying to sense where the electricity is coming from. At the front of the group, Monoma had moved up to drive away the flames revealing more of the path. Izuku watches as Monoma's hair stands up before he suddenly looks upwards and sticks his hand out catching a bolt of lightning with his hand. He drives it down through his stomach and then out his other hand firing it back into the smoke clouds surrounding them. "You can use sub bending too?" Izuku asks as he rushes forwards to take over for Monoma as he flicks his hand slightly trying to get rid of the tingling sensation. "Lightning Redirection isn't a subset, it's just moving it." He answers before thrusting his hands upwards in unison with Izuku snuffing out the flames blocking the rest of their path. From behind them, Setsuna catches another lightning bolt and fires it back as they reach the exit to the first obstacle.

Bursting through the doors of the conflagration building they constructed outside the UA stadium, they enter another hallway leading into another massive building. The doors ahead of them are sealed shut but the moment they pass over a light blue line with the symbol for the airbenders in the center the blast doors ahead of them open and the winds pour into the room. Ochako jumps over the entire group spinning in the air as she does so, generating a massive column of air rotating clockwise around her. When she lands she thrusts her arms outwards and creates a massive horizontal cyclone through the hallway stopping the forward winds. "Itsuka, We're gonna need to make a tornado for this. A big one, and it's gonna have to go backwards." She says, causing Kendo to sprint up the side of the wall ahead of the group to join her fellow airbender. "What does she mean by backwards?" Tsu asks as Monoma rushes forwards and taps Itsuka's hand gaining her ability to airbend. The trio all face inwards towards each other with their hands into the center of the triangle before they start walking around clockwise. In unison the three lift their hands from the center of the triangle and spin outwards, flowing their hands along with the movement as the air bends around them.

"Anticyclonic rotation. Hurricanes and Tornadoes spin counterclockwise so creating one that spins the opposite direction disrupts the air flow." Izuku responds. "The typhoon is acting like normal, they create one that spins the opposite direction and we get a pocket of space with no wind where we can walk normally. All you gotta do is make a bubble for us so we don't get pelted by hail." Izuku says as he, Tsu, Setsuna, and Iida run into the quickly forming tornado that Ochako, Itsuka and Monoma are making.

As they begin forcing their way through the typhoon, Tsu drags her hands upwards and forms a massive dome of water within the tornado. Above them massive hailstones slam into the water before falling through it harmlessly plunking to the floor. "Midoriya, a little help here? He needs warm and wet air to make this thing keep its shape. It's too cold in here." Itsuka calls out from the point of the twister. Izuku immediately runs up towards her before blasting fire into the floor, quickly evaporating the water on the concrete. The warm moisture makes it significantly easier for them to maintain the shape of the tornado. "Damn this is a lot harder than I thought itd be." Monoma says as he continues to pull the air around them, almost getting pelted by a hail stone in the process. "How did you make one out of fire at the USJ?!" Ochako shouts trying to get her voice above the howling winds. "I don't know! I wasn't in control when that happened!" Izuku shouts as he sprays more fire into the floor to help maintain the shape of the tornado.

Thankfully the typhoon zone was far smaller than the inferno, and the tornado contacting the door out of the building surprises them. The three airbenders help hold off the winds long enough for the rest of their team to get through the doors before they themselves get through it as it slams shut. "Holy crap!" Ochako shouts almost completely out of breath. "That was intense!" She says before Izuku offers her a hand up. "That's the last one we gotta do this team crap for?" Monoma asks, causing Itsuka to nod, causing him to take off. As he runs down the hallway he taps Tsu on the shoulder, copying the ability to use waterbending. "I figured that would happen. You guys wanna stick together or not?" Itsuka says as Izuku flexes his shoulders and stretches slightly.

"I think we should split up for this. Besides, Momo's out to beat me and I'm not gonna lose this time." He says, "Best of luck and thanks for the help. We got this, Go Beyond Plus Ultra!" Izuku shouts as he begins sprinting down the hallway before he blasts flames from his hands and feet taking flight.

"With Team Avatar bringing up the rear, they've split up after the typhoon zone! Looks like Husband and Wife have a bit of a competition going but Avatar Izuku's gotta long way to go. His Missus is almost to the end of the abyss zone with her entire team!" Mic shouts as the jumbotron in the stadium shows Momo, Toru, Kyoka, Kirishima, Shinso and Bakugou jumping from platform to platform helping each other across.

Izuku barrels out of the doors of the typhoon zone before flexing his thighs and arms as hard as he can. A plume of fire almost a hundred feet long blasts from his hands as he soars high above the massive whirlpool beneath him. Spanning the almost kilometer wide maelstrom in mere seconds. The sound of the flames being sprayed from his hands and feet sounds almost like a rocket causing Momo to turn and look back towards the stadium. Almost a mile away she sees a bright golden light heading straight form them on a plume of smoke. "Holy shit he's fast." Katsuki says before turning to look at Momo. "Got any ideas, Ponytail?" he asks before he sees the Azula-esk smile on her face. She steps forwards and swirls her hands around herself with her fingers pointed outwards generating two massive bolts of lightning before firing them towards her husband. Following suit, Katsuki turns and fires a combustion beam ahead of where Izuku is flying trying to snipe him mid air.

Izuku grins seeing the lightning sparking from the ground and this excitement lights up his fire even more. However, something he rarely ever used with his bending begins to slowly channel through his body. Green electricity begins arcing around him as his eyes begin to glow. In the stadium, All Might grins seeing Izuku channel One for All through his body and even has to turn away from the jumbotron as the gold flames from his bending suddenly explode massively turning a bright green color as he screams through the sky. Momo hadnt anticipated the sudden increase in speed, and watches as a strange cone shaped cloud forms around his lower body as he flies towards them. Time slows down as she realizes what happened. When he blitzed passed them, he had broken the sound barrier. Momo had seen him even wink at her as he flew by. A split second later from her legs two halves of a massive cone form around her which she forces together. She squats down and tenses her arms before firing flames through her hands and feet taking flight.

"What the hell was that?! What did she make?!" Kirishima asks as he swipes his hands through the air to rid the smoke from them.

"She just made a jet turbine around her legs." Katsuki says before he grins, "She's gonna try to catch up with him."

"He just broke the sound barrier, there's no way she'll do that." Shinso says watching as the cone of blue flames screams through the air towards the green comet blasting through the sky.

"Momo hasn't been beaten by anyone. Ever." Katsuki responds. "Deku hasn't even defeated her and he's the fucking avatar. She beat him in every single sparring match they've ever done, and if you think Deku's a prodigy. She's a goddamn Paragon." The moment he finishes saying this, they hear another breaking of the sound barrier.

Izuku had only managed to break the sound barrier for only a moment, his speed rapidly decelerating as he tried to bring himself lower to the ground in order to enter the stadium again. As he begins his descent, he sees the blue flames of Momo blasting through the cone she created around her legs to assist in flight. Seeing this, he scrambles to increase his speed, drawing his legs towards his chest and then thrusting them down recreating the plume of green fire from his legs. By the time he manages to increase his speed again Momo is right on his tail as they enter the tunnel leading into the stadium. He sees an ecstatic smile on his wife's face as she closes the gap between them. He tries to increase his speed even further, but his bending is beginning to burn his hands and clothes as she passes him. With an evil smile on her face she plants a kiss on his cheek before blasting through the exit first, several feet in front of Izuku. "And the winner is Momo Midoriya, with her husband right on her tails!" Mic Announces as Izuku makes a crash landing into the dirt. His gym uniform scorched up to his shoulders and his pants now look like a pair of charred shorts. In the bottom of a trench he breathes heavily before he attempts to sit up. As he does so Momo walks over to him with a triumphant look on her face. "That's round one Zuzu. Let's see what you got in round two." She says with a smirk on her face as she squats down and cups his chin with her index finger and thumb. "You never cease to amaze me." he says as she let's her finger slip off his chin and she walks away with a sway in her hips.
