Katsuki grins sinisterly towards Chan as the two enter the Agni Kai arena, the blonde combustion bender casting off his shirt so it doesn't get burned in the process. His third eye searing hot with the intention of blasting his opponent to smithereens. Across from him, the emo styled brown haired boy is looking like he's far away from his comfort zone, especially having to deal with a combustion bender, the only one he's ever seen. While Katsuki isn't allowed to use his combustion bending until the two minute warning, Chan wonders if he will even last that long against him. On the other side of the examination gym, Izuku and Shouto are walking up to their arena. The atmosphere between them is far less hostile but still with the iota of competitiveness between the sons of the strongest firebending pro-heroes.

When the buzzer sounds, Katsuki immediately launches himself in the air with a burst of fire and spins creating a large ring of fire outwards from his hands. His opponent on the far side counters, creating a wall of flames in front of him in order to cancel out Katsuki's attack. As the ring and wall impact each other the flames from the ring wrap around the wall before breaking and dissipating back into smoke. Chan counters with his own bending, creating multiple walls of fire spawning from the floor under Katsuki. The combustion bender easily bends the flames around him harmlessly before using Chan's own attack against him. The flames katsuki collects are congealed into a dense fireball that he flings back towards his opponent. The fireball is split in half by the edge of Chan's hand before slamming into the stone beside him. The fireball was merely a distraction however, with Chan trying to recover from the previous technique he used to split it, Katsuki makes his advance. Launching himself from the air right behind the blast, Katsuki lands right in front of Chan giving him no time to react to his next move. With a firmly planted sidekick to the stomach, Katsuki kicks Chan out of the arena and wins the fight.

"Waste of my time." He scoffs. "Pathetic, you call yourself a firebender yet you didn't even last thirty seconds." Katsuki snides his defeated opponent before turning and walking out of the ring as the announcer names him the victor of the bout.

On the opposite side of the arena, Izuku and Shouto are crouched facing away from each other. At the sound of the buzzer both stand and remove the ceremonial capes from their backs before sizing up their opponents. With a slight smirk on his face, Izuku blitzes towards Shouto using firebending through his feet to skate atop the concrete floor of their ring. Shouto immediately goes to throw a series of punches, launching bright orange tinted flames towards his green haired opponent. The speed in which Izuku slides upon the ground is fast enough to evade all the bolts of fire that Shouto is throwing his way with Izuku even catching and slinging some of the fire back at Shouto in order to force him onto the back foot. Once in close range however Izuku creates a jet of fire from the back of his fist and slings a side fist strike towards Shouto. The attack is blocked and redirected forcing Izuku's momentum to spin him around earning him a kick on the rear from his opponent throwing him off balance and tripping him. Now on the offensive Shouto swings an axe kick over his head and curls a crescent blade of fire towards his retreating opponent.

On the ground, Izuku spins spraying fire from his feet in order to disrupt the blade of flames that Shouto had sent at him, as well as use it to right himself. Deciding to stay close range for their fight, Izuku cups his hands around his mouth and breathes out a torrent of flames in a cone shape towards Shouto. The cone of fire forces Shouto to evade it but instead of jumping to the side, he jumps inwards towards the flames trying to catch Deku off guard. It works as a momentary lapse in concentration from Izuku allows Shouto to split the cone of fire away from Izuku's mouth trying to create an opening. That opening doesn't come, however, as Deku drops to a Dio-like bend to evade a burst of flames projected from Shouto's finger tips aimed for his head. With their proximity shortened, Izuku drops a low swing kick to Shouto's front leaning foot out from under him causing him to land flat on his back. Groaning as the wind is knocked out of him, Shouto blasts fire from his palms and quickly right himself from the ground into a haymaker punch thrown at Izuku's jaw. Reacting accordingly, Izuku counters with his own punch resulting with the two drilling each other in the face. Both combatants stagger backwards from the strike, Izuku holding his jaw and Shouto his cheekbone as the pain radiates through their faces.

"You haven't gone cold, here I thought your firebending would get weaker because of your quirk." Izuku comments, wiping some of the blood away from his lip. "Though you still don't like fighting up close and personal."

"Thanks for the compliment, but you getting close up is what earned you that sucker punch to the jaw." Shouto remarks, spitting on the floor coloring it red. "Since you went and showed off about breathing fire. Let me show you a new trick my father showed me?"

"And that is?" Izuku asks.

"Flame weapons." Shouto grins, Izuku feels a sudden pit of anxiety well up in his stomach when he says that.

Clasping his hands together in front of him, Shouto burns a spear made of fire into existence between his hands. Grabbing the flaming shaft, he spins it in his hand before launching it towards Izuku. The heat from the weapon is so intense that it carves a ravine into the concrete arena that they are dueling in. Izuku is forced to dodge the attack as it is far too fast for him to be able to wrangle control over, the flaming spear slings past him and impacts the arena where Katsuki had been fighting causing a large explosion that leaves it partially melted. "Dayum." Denki comments after seeing the molten concrete drip off the former arena. "How long have you known those two?" He asks, turning to Katsuki who is not all that impressed with the fiery display. "Deku and I have known each other since preschool. Icy hot and I since we were about eight so you do the math. Endeavor is peppermint blowtorch's dad and Deku's father is Bahamut."

"The dragon of the east? The last person to hold that title was Firelord Iroh II." Denki responds before turning back to the fight awestruck.

"Yeah, those two probably have the most firepower out of this entire lot this year. Except the princess over there." At the gesture thumb over the shoulder, Denki peers out from beside Bakugou in order to get a look at the firenation princess that had attended the entrance exam. She stands a fair distance away sipping from a bottle of water and attentively watching the fight between Deku and Shouto.

"SHE'S THE PRINCESS?!" Denki shouts, causing Katsuki to smack him for yelling, however this doesn't go unheard by Momo herself. The blue flame firebender walks over towards the two of them in order to see what they are talking about.

"Excuse me, but what brought up the exclamation that I am of firenation royalty?" She asks politely, but she causes Denki to freeze up in her presence.

"Sorry about that, Dippy here was just shocked. We were talking about the people with the most firepower attending the entrance exams. Those two probably being the strongest out of this whole lot of match sticks and cig lighters." Katsuki remarks, gesturing his head in the direction of the still unconscious Chan who was being tended to by the medical personnel.

"Where do you believe I lay in the ranking of yours?" She asks, turning her attention towards Shouto and Deku who are now in a flame lock. Two huge torrents of fire blasted towards each other and forced a stalemate in the center of the arena. "What about yourself for that matter?"

"Probably on the level of the peppermint butler and molten mint over there." Katsuki replies as two fireballs from the dueling firebenders collide creating a large explosion. "I don't have as much firepower as those two but I make up for that in being able to blow shit up. I'm a combustion bender, as you can tell by this here." Katsuki replies by lifting up his hair and revealing a third eye on his forehead, the red gazing orb flanked by three sets of wings off the vertical eye itself. "My mom's side is full of combustion benders all the way back to Sparky Sparky boom man himself, as first president Sokka called him."

"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with nicknames, what are their names exactly?"

"The one that looks like a candy cane thrown up on him is Todoroki Shouto, he's the son of the current number 2 pro hero Endeavor. On the other side there's Midoriya Izuku, or as I call him Deku. His father is Bahamut and aside from Kaminari here, who I just met 10 minutes ago, he is one of the most proficient lightning benders I've ever met." Katsuki explains, just as the buzzer sounds for the use of advanced bending to be permitted. "Just watch. He's also an extremely fast learner."

In the ring, Izuku smiles when hearing the buzzer for advanced bending sound off, He quickly creates a wall of fire in front of him that dissipates the attack that Shouto had sent towards him. Both of them are winded from the all out brawl they've been fighting for the past three minutes. Now however, Izuku leaps into the air using firebending through his feet and swirls his arms around himself. The crackling of bright blue and white lightning manifests in the air around his hands before being fired towards Shouto. Multiple bolts strike the ground around the son of Endeavor with a bolt nearly striking him directly. It explodes on the ground and nearly pushes him out of the ring allowing Izuku to push his advance against Shouto. He quickly lands barely a few paces in front of Shouto and drills another lightning bolt towards him, unfortunately for Izuku however, Shouto takes the bolt into himself and goes through the motions to redirect the blast. Seeing this, the son of Bahamut follows through with his other hand and launches the second bolt he had charged right at the first bolt that is being redirected back at him. The bolts of electricity collide mid air before exploding violently, so much so that the arena is completely obliterated from the blast. The explosion expels both Shouto and Izuku from the ring, Shouto flying and colliding with Denki into the ground and Izuku taking out one of the referees on the other side.

"The Match is a draw, both fighters are unconscious and out of the ring." The announcer states over the intercom.

"Woah. That was impressive." Momo comments before turning to see a swirling eyed Shouto passed out on top of Denki. "Oh my."

"I... didn't expect to be hit." Denki paused to groan slightly in pain. "With a whole person today." He grimaces as a couple of the medical staff come over with a stretcher for Shouto. "Ouch."

"Shouldn't have been standing that close then. Come on, get up." Katsuki offers his hand to the lightning bender before helping poor Denki off the ground.

"Well, I believe we are finished here for today or are they going to announce those who will be joining the academy after those two recover?" Momo asks, prompting both Denki and Katsuki to shrug.

"Probably not, the entrance exam into Aldera Jr High was mailed to us so we'll probably get a messenger hawk within a day or so. I'm gonna go collect Deku and head out of here. I'll see you two in class." Katsuki waves before walking towards the infirmary.

"If that is the case, I'm going to call my driver. Good day to you mister Bakugou and mister Kaminari, I will probably see you when classes start." She says with a bow before walking off.

"Oi! Wait up, I still wanted to chat!" Kaminari yells after Katsuki as he rushes to catch up to him.
