Come on, Zuko . . . 

Zuko whipped his head around and searched for where the voice came from, but all that he saw was a giant hawk flying above him. It landed in front of him and Zuko yelped, jumping back and getting in a defensive stance. 

Hello, Zuko.

Seriously? Now he was sure he was going crazy. Zuko ignored the hawk and made his way to his tent while rubbing his temples, earning perplexed looks from everyone. However, their expressions softened and Aang tried to say something but was cut off by a shout.

"I DON'T NEED DAMN SYMPATHY!" Zuko shouted and stormed off, leaving everyone to eat his dust. But no matter how much he yelled, the Gaang always forgave him later as they knew why his mood was so bad those days.

It's okay, Zuko.

Zuko's eyes widened and he glanced around, gasping when he saw Appa towering over him. Holy shi- was that Appa's voice? It did sound different from the hawk's more calm one. Appa had a rough voice, like hay. Actually, it made sense, seeing that Appa ate hay.

"Holy sh-" Zuko went to swear but stopped himself. After all, animals weren't supposed to learn curse words. "What in the name of fire?!"

Y/N will come back. She always does. Actually, do you want to know something?

"What?" Zuko's voice quieted at the mention of your name. 

Before she left, guess what I heard her mumbling?

Seeing that Zuko was getting frustrated, Appa continued.

She was mumbling something about 'Zuko' and 'I'm not gonna leave'.

Zuko gasped softly, "So you think Y/N was taken?" 

Sure. But also, guess what else she said? She said, "I love you, Zuko," and told me and Momo to protect you.

"Really?" Zuko breathed out unbelievably.

It's true, Zuko.

Zuko saw Momo smiling (or at least he thought so) at him. "Momo too?! What in the holy lord of fire?!?!" Zuko sighed and calmed down before petting both the animals. "Thanks, guys." He walked outside the tent, causing the Gaang except Sokka to come to hug him. 

"I'm fine, idiots," Zuko chuckled. Katara pulled away first with a frown on her face. 

"You're fine?" Katara gave him a suspicious look. "You were not fine a few minutes ago."

"Yeah, well, guess what?" Zuko's eyes twinkled. "Y/N didn't run away. She was taken, and she's gonna come back."

"How the holy Waterbenders would you know that?!" Sokka shouted. Zuko shot him a smile in return and walked away, once again leaving everyone to be confused. He gasped when a whisper sounded from afar.

I see her . . .

"See who?" Zuko ran in the direction of the sound, frowning deeply. The Gaang followed him, also frowning.

"What are you doing?" Sokka asked. Zuko ground his teeth together.

"Shut up and go away."

She's coming . . .

"Who's coming, bird?!" Zuko yelled at the hawk above him. Instead, the hawk just smiled and left. Suddenly, a girl ripped through the trees, running at full speed. She slammed straight into Zuko, who made an audible sound of shock.

"Y/N!" Zuko wrapped you up in a hug and you hugged him back, sobbing hysterically. Everyone hugged her too, all smiling and crying.

"Zuko." You looked up at him. "They took me. They told me they would kill you if I didn't go with them. I did what I had to, Zuko."

"You did not!" Zuko cried. "You literally went away from me for weeks! Do you know how much I missed you . . .? How much you hurt me?"

"I'm sorry!" You buried your face in Zuko's chest, collapsing in a fit of sobs again. You sniffled and you felt a drop of water hit your cheeks. Everyone had wrapped up against each other, hugging. 

The very next day, you opened your eyes in fear, but found your boyfriend, Zuko, laying peacefully at your side. He was clothed in a wet translucent robe, making everything seen except for his lower body as he was in a blanket. You realized you both had gone swimming last night and Zuko had dragged you to bed after.

His muscular body flexed as he moved closer to you and you blew him a kiss.

"My darling," you whispered, slowly slipped out of Zuko's grasp, and tiptoed out. Hopefully, no one would notice. You yawned and sat down, greeting the animals.

"Hey!" You heard Zuko's voice. Uh oh. "I can do that too!" Huh?

"Seriously?" You teased, pointing to Appa. "What's Appa saying?"

Hello, Zuko. I see you have woken up.

"Hello, Appa, yeah thanks for stating the obvious," Zuko rolled his eyes and smirked at you. "That enough proof?" Your eyes were widened in shock and Zuko sat down next to you.

"I love you."

"Not now . . ."

"Why not?" Zuko hung his legs off the cliff and stared at the rushing water below.

You couldn't refuse to his sad look and you captured his lips in a more gentle kiss than your fiery, passionate other ones. You both shared a kiss and when Zuko pulled away to breathe, you smiled with a sparkle in your eye.

"What?" Zuko got worried and nervous. You were seriously going to kill him with that look. You just kept on smiling.

"I LOVE YOU TOO!" You yelled suddenly and jumped up before running away with Zuko hot on your trail. Unbeknownst to both of them, the Gaang had already gotten up and were watching the happy couple play around.

"Aww, they're so cute . . ." Katara remarked, making everyone smile. They really were.
