Aang-
Being the second child in the Beifong family was no easy cookie. There were festivities, and proper etiquette training, and tea tasting that you never signed up for when you were smaller. Of course there were some classes you thanked your parents for, like your archery and self defense lessons that only happened once a week. After learning that Toph was some sort of hero and was in constant danger, you parents decided it was best to learn to defend yourself.

Unlike your sister, you didn't inherit earth bending skills or any bending skill for that matter. You relied on your wits, agility, and the lessons that your parents signed you up for. Those lessons were important to you, because it meant you got to use your handcrafted bow and arrows. So when Aang suggested a sparring session with you, you happily agreed because:

#teamnotbeingabletobendelemnetsforlife.  Duh.

So being confident in yourself, you gave it your all during that sparring match. Since he was the damn Avatar, it was only fair if you were able to use your bow and arrow. You had told him to not take it easy, and to your surprise you almost won!(you couldn't help but wonder if he did hold back just a bit which he probability did)
If it hadn't been for Aang sweeping you off your feet, that stupid gleam in his eyes, and using a whiplash of air; knocking your bow half way across the grassy lands that you both decided on would be good for this practice session, you would have taken down the avatar.

But no, as of right now the wind was knocked out of you as you lay flat on the cool grass, trying to catch your breath.

"You..*huff* are...*huff* too good." You pant trying to recompose yourself. He held in a laugh and sat down next to you before helping you sit up straight.

"And you're a talented archer, better than Sokka wielding a space sword." Aang replied with a laugh towards the end. Raising your brow, you couldn't believe it.

"Am I allowed to bring back up next time?" You asked with a grin. Aang, admiring your bow, not paying attention, nodded.

"Well then, it'll even the odds with my sister around." You beamed standing up and walking towards the trail. It was then when Aang realized what you meant.

Oh how bad things were going to end up for him.

Sokka- (I'm so sorry I felt this one could've been better but I added a bonus at the end? )

"Being able to water bend was a privilege", your mother always said.

"Use it responsibly!" She said.

Yet here you were encasing Sokka's head in water, using your water bending, because he stole your snack from your bag whilst going on a short little trip into town.

"Yeah yeah, scream all you want. It's what you deserve!" You said. Sokka pleaded with his hands making wild gestures in order for your to break the water bubble around his head for some air. You only snickered as he tried to run up to you and grab your arms. It was no use, there was no getting out of this water bubble.

Out came Katara from one of the shops only to find her brother's head in a water bubble and his friend holding back snickers. She also couldn't hold back a laugh as she made her way towards them.

Sokka also pleaded for her sister to break the bending, but it was no use, soon enough Katara also joined in. He eventually gave up and knew very well he wasn't going to have his way around you.

Bonus:
(Yes eventually you did break the water bubble around his head and in exchange he bought you something from the market in return, god the smile across your face when you munched into the snack, it was like the sun shone ten times brighter. And he'd have his head stuck in a water bubble again to see your smile again.)

Zuko-
The Fire nation was best known for its strength. Zuko here wasn't patient enough for a long game that required wits.

Suki , Ty Lee, Zuko, Mai and you all had some
free time to kill before Zuko's next meeting and all decided to invest your time in a game that required strategy.

"Alright, your army is in the middle of nowhere in extreme cold, but you need to get to point B to accomplish your mission, where do you get your resources, regroup and where do you attack if your enemy could be anywhere, and burned down their villages; cutting off all potential supplies and shelter?" Mai asked starting off the game.

One by one each person slowly thought out their plan to respond to the hypothetical question, but there was always some flaw.

Zuko on the other hand, still at times being 'shoot first ask questions later' came up with an answer that would "hypothetically" kill off half his troops.

"But by leaving half your army behind, could potentially lead for your enemies to capture and question them for information." You said.
"Leaving others behind is no option" you finally added. Suki nodded in agreement.

"Yeah but why drag around dead weight when your troops could make up for lost travel?" Mai responded. Her words hit you, sure desperate times call for desperate measures but you weren't one to leave someone behind. You simply glared her before exiting the room in silence.

" so uhm, another round?" Ty Lee asked. Zuko took no time in following after you, Mai stayed put as she and the rest of the girls played another round.

Zuko soon caught up to you, sitting near the turtle-duck pond watching them swim effortlessly in circles. You had used the sleeve of your uniform to wash off the warrior paint from your face. Your (color of skin) skin took in the warmth of the sun. Zuko took a seat next to you.

"You know what you said back there was valuable right?" He said, you stared down at the water pond with no response.

"Others lives are valuable and important I get that. I've seen so much as a Kioshi Warrior, but leaving behind the defenseless for the picking of the enemy? I wouldn't wish that upon any living soul." You quietly responded a few minutes later, your mind taking you back to that horrific scene.(A story for another time...in a later chapter full of angst)

"I never want others to feel as I once did." You finished off, wiping the makeshift tears from your face, before heading back inside to your room quarters. Zuko was speechless, in an instant he realized you weren't going to give him the whole story. How could someone so fierce and brave, yet have wounds to be healed?
