Lo'ak X Male Metkayina Reader

A/N: I made Rotxo an actual brother to Aonung and Tsireya here

--------------------------------------------------------------

You disapproved of the way Aonung treated Lo'ak and Kiri. You had found out from his group of friends that both Aonung and Rotxo were crushing a bit on her but couldn't come to terms with their feelings for someone different, so they went a different route. Bullying or what they like to call teasing when it certainly didn't feel like it to Lo'ak and Kiri. When they first came to your home, you found him cute, noticing how the oldest brother, Neteyam, looked at Aonung's sister, Tsireya. Maybe besides his feelings for finding Kiri cute and interesting, he needed a reason to let off steam that Neteyam and Tsireya found each other cute. It was a load of fish shit, honestly. That's why Lo'ak punched him and gave him a black eye. You accepted that you found Lo'ak cute and wanted to get to know him, even if you didn't admit it out loud. No one's opinion mattered except Lo'aks and his parents, both of whom were scary.

"Hi, Y/N" You turned to Rotxo, smiling at him. You and Rotxo had similar feelings about the Sullys. Lo'ak didn't ask to be born with eyebrows and five fingers, which, in your humble opinion, suited him and made him much more alluring.

"Hi, Xo, what's up?" He picked up some netting, and the two of you weaved the nets as you talked. He told you of his crush on Kiri, and he feels he can treat her better than Aonung since Aonung is still too harsh and a bit too arrogant.

"I don't understand why he is so mean. He's really sweet when it's just us, and then that nasty persona of his goes on display." You agreed with him, having seen his sweet side and being subjected to it as well.

"He's scared of his feelings, and he's scared of accepting them because he wants to uphold his image and impress his mother. They are both so much alike, after all." The two of you talked a little more before he brought up Lo'ak.

"Any progress with Lo'ak? The two of you seem to get along well." You smiled at that, nodding in agreement. You didn't treat him differently, already understanding how much stress he might be under already. He was a troublemaker, mischievous, so that was strike one, then he had five fingers and eyebrows that was strike 2, and to top it all off? He was forced to leave his home and everything he knew, all because of the real demons coming to attack him and his family. Now, after all this stress, he didn't deserve to be an outcast when he already felt like one. "I'm glad, and he deserves someone to be nice to him." No more was said as the two of you finished the nets and moved back to the beach, where you saw the Sullys coming back from the water. You smiled at them, grinning largely when you and Lo'ak made eye contact.

"Sup Y/N. Rotxo" He had such a strange way of greeting, but it was endearing. "What did you guys do all day, weave nets?" Lo'ak had come up to you, placing a hand on your arm to lean and look at the nets. Despite having five fingers, his hands were still smaller than yours, and you were still taller than him by a foot. You loved it.

"Yeah, they tear every time the warriors go hunting. It's like braiding but bigger pieces." You were begging for him to say he would like to try so you could offer to show him. Please, Eywa, give you this chance.

"It seems hard..." This was your chance, snag it Y/N.

"I can show you if you want tomorrow. Or whenever you have time." Eywa, please. You watched as his eyebrows furrowed, resisting the strong urge to kiss them, watching as his mouth upturned into a grin, looking up to meet your eyes.

"Sure, I'll come to find you." Eywa, yes, you're the best. You nodded with a soft smile, watching as he went back to his siblings, and they all left, leaving you alone with the Tsahik siblings, who were watching you with varying looks. Aonung was giving you a weird look while Rotxo and Tsireya were smiling. You rolled your eyes fondly, waving at them.

"I'm going to go eat lunch." You made your way back to your family. Marui greeted your parents and younger brothers, who had just finished helping your mom make food. The five of you sat in a circle and conversed about your day, expecting your mom to bring up Lo'ak. You didn't hide it from them, well it wasn't like you could anyway. They knew you too well.

"How's that Sully boy Lo'ak?" Your ear twitched, surprised it was your dad, but you answered honestly. You talked a little bit about him pushing your brothers as they teased you. You felt yourself flushing when your parents gave you knowing grins, huffing, and giving up, allowing your brothers to climb all over you until your mom told them to sit and eat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You haven't seen Lo'ak the whole day, and it was already eclipse. You were nervous because you would normally catch a glimpse of him, and he was always sure to tell you goodnight, but you didn't this time. However, you did see a pissed-off Neteyam grabbing Aonung by the queue and dragging him to his parent's marui. You had a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach as you got closer to the marui, hearing voices rising.

"You left him at Three Brothers Rock!" Your jaw dropped, and you had heard enough. Consequences be damned, you ran to the water calling for an Ilu and jumped on connecting with it and urging it to move faster. You were so scared and angry. Why would Aonung do that? I bet he was with those stupid, ugly, fake-ass Metkayina teens who aren't his real friends. You were worried for Lo'ak. Was he okay? Why did no one notice he was gone for so long? Why didn't you say something sooner? Maybe your paranoia could have gotten him sooner. What if he was hurt? He was in Akula territory!

"I'm coming Ma Lo'ak." That's it, and this solidified that you were going to make him yours. Fuck, beating around the bush, you will take the risk if it means there is a chance of making him yours. Now, you just have to make sure that he is safe. Stupid fucking Aonung. You kept the constant speed; your thoughts overflowed with him and only him. You were going so fast that you almost missed the moving mass with what looked to be a Na'vi on it. Eywa, please. You urged the Ilu to go to the mass, and you're surprised to see it was Payakan! The lone Tulkun with Lo'ak on top. "LO'AK!!" You screamed his name and felt your heart sink when he didn't move. You would have been more worried about the Tulkun if you weren't panicking about Lo'ak. You got on the Tulkun, greeting it hastily as you grabbed Lo'ak, noticing he was bleeding from his head. You whined as you brought him to your chest, wrapping his legs around your waist as you leaned him back a bit to touch his face. "Lo'ak? Ma Lo'ak, please answer me. Wake up, make a noise, something." You were going to start crying any second now, but thankfully, he groaned, opening his eyes and blinking rapidly, returning to his senses. You've never been more relieved to see his golden eyes.

"Y/N?..." He had a questioning tone, and you thanked Eywa, willing the tears to stay at bay. He didn't need tears, no matter how relieved you felt.

"Oh, Lo'ak, thank Eywa. Do you know how long you've been gone? I'm sorry for what Aonung did. He finally told Neteyam, who made him tell your guy's father... I couldn't wait and came to get you myself." You knew they were coming, and you knew you had no business on a Tulkun, but all you cared about was Lo'ak in your arms. Your Lo'ak.

"Shit, I-" He looked around, noticing he was in your lap, but he made no moves to remove himself; instead, he leaned an arm up and wrapped it around your shoulders for leverage. "I knew they left me, and I tried to come back, but then an Akula attacked me-" He paused, letting you check him for any other wounds on his body besides some little scrapes. "It's okay, I'm okay. Payakan saved me, and I've been with him since." You couldn't help but squeeze him to you, feeling him wrap his other arm around you, giving you a full-body hug. Through this, you realize just how small and slim he was compared to you. It rose a protective streak in you.

"I'm never letting you go. I don't care what anyone says. I'll take over teaching you, I'll show you everything but, first, we are going to make sure you're okay and you will tell the truth" You looked down at him when he went to protest but, he stopped at the earnest look in your eyes "Please Lo'ak. Aonung may have pulled a prank, but this prank could have cost you your life. Yes, Payakan saved you, and I will forever be grateful that he did, but that doesn't excuse the fact he left an inexperienced Na'vi in Akula-infested waters. Whatever punishment he gets will be deserved, so no guilt. Your safety is too important to play with. You're too important to me." You just confessed and you could care less, he needed to understand how dire this whole situation was. Thankfully, he said nothing except to bury his face into your chest.

"Let's go back." You nodded, holding onto him the whole time as Payakan took the two of you back, and even when you saw the island and the others there, you still didn't let go of Lo'ak. Your Lo'ak. Your sun.
