Ava wanted to go to New York for her birthday so we bought tickets and went there together the afternoon before her birthday. When we landed, I looked around in awe. I had never been to New York before. It was huge and so cool! We booked a room at a hotel and started unpacking things to then go to sleep. Tomorrow was the big day.

I woke up before her and took the presents that I hid in my suitcase. I ordered breakfast in the room and took the rose bouquet that I hid in a box so they weren't damaged. The lady with breakfast arrived and quietly gave me everything to then leave. I thanked and tipped her.

Ava started waking up so I ran to the bed and offered her the roses.

'Happy birthday baby'

She took the roses and smelled them.

'Thank you. They smell so good' she said, giving me the brightest smile.

I took the bed tray and put the breakfast for both of us.

She smiled and we ate while planning the awesome day of today.

She was going to open the door to leave but I didn't let her.

'Ummm... You can't go yet' I said.

'Why?'

'Uhh... We have to plan everything to detail'

'We can make plans as we walk' she said, taking the door handle.

'Nooo!!' I said.

'What is going on?!'

As she said that, the door slammed open and Ava's family and friends came in with presents, balloons and chocolate cake.

'Oh' Ava put a hand over her mouth and tried to hold back her tears.

'Sorry y/n... I almost ruined your surprise...' she apologized with a lonely tear running through her face.

'It's okay. They were just on time' I dried her tear.

'Let the party begin!'
