Because school was beginning to start again, Jacob didn't come everyday anymore. Instead, he came on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. On the weekdays, he would come and bring me my school work and help me out when I let him. Then, of course, he left early on Saturday's in order to go to the parties that were the most popular in the school. I don't blame him either. That's his life and that's what he's used to. Me, on the other hand.. I prefer to lay low and stay home. Read, write and study..
Not much of a life, is it? Not even if I add on that I like to explore nature periodically whenever I'm able to.. Oh well.. I guess I'm also the only one who reads, not just regular books, but also on this app called Wattpad.. Not too many have heard of it because I'm always explaining what it is to people and how to use it.. That is.. If they give me the time of day.. Which, usually they don't. But I'm used to it now.
But anyway.. I can now walk and I'm getting released today. I hope my dad comes on time so that I don't have to wait.. I can't wait to let my body sink into the comfort of my sheets and burry my head into my pillow. The most amazing things that were ever invented in the world are called a bed, a pillow, blankets and books. Can I get a amen? Let me stop. I opened my eyes to white walls and a grin, but no Jacob. That's unusual, but awesome. For once, he has taken my advice. Elizabeth came in once I pressed my button and helped me get dressed.

Nurse: Good morning Ms. Summers.

Autumn: Good morning Elizabeth.

Nurse: No Jacob?

Autumn: No ma'am.

I smiled. She began to take the regular check up that I need every morning, just to be sure..

Nurse: Boy.. It's very hard to tell if your two are in love or if you really hate one another.

Autumn: I'll take the hate.. Then throw it in his face..

She laughed.

Nurse: It's a Love-Hate, I see.

Autumn: Let's get something straight here.. He claims to love me - which I know he doesn't.. And I hate his guts with a passion.

She nodded with a smile.

Nurse: Oh, I see. Playing hard to get?

Autumn: No! I absolutely hate his guts! He did so much wrong to me.. I just hate him..

Nurse: Now I got it. One of those nagging boys that you wish would just vanish into thin air.

Autumn: Yes!

She put down her clip board and gave me a serous look.

Nurse: Autumn, look.. I may be 25, but I know a lot for my age. And what im about to tell you is something I feel that must be said. One, unforgiveness hurts you more than anyone else in this world and two, you can't run away from all of your problems. One day you'll have to face up to them all.

Autumn: I'm not running from anything.. But thanks Liz.

Nurse: No thanks is necessary. It's just a life long lesson that you will be grateful for in the long run.

She began to help me with my socks.

Nurse: So.. Who's coming to pick you up?

Autumn: My dad. Trust me when I say this, but he's a slow driver.

She laughed.

Nurse: Oh wow.. Sit up for me.

She said, trying to help me get my shirt on.

Autumn: Yeah. But it's okay. I'm prepared for this ride.

I smiled..

Nurse: Well, I hope so because your father called..

Autumn: What'd he say?

Nurse: He said that he can't pick you up, so he asked one of your friends to pick you up..

Autumn: Friends? What friends?

She shrugged.

Nurse: I don't know. He said you'd know him when you see him.

Autumn: Oh Lord, dad..

Nurse: Stand up for me.

I stood up so that we could get my pants on.

Autumn: Thanks Liz.

Nurse: You're welcome. You're all set. I'll get the wheelchair for you.

Autumn: Okay.

When I was wheeled out into the lobby, I had to sign a bunch of papers and once I got done with that, my ride was here. I furrowed my eyebrows as I paid close attention to the vehicle.. A black Lincoln.. This could only mean one thing..

Jacob: Ready to go, love?

Autumn: Yes and no..

He poked his bottom lip out  at me and then smiled.

Jacob: Come on. I'll take you home.

Autumn: Don't you dare touch me either..

I said as he began to roll me out to the vehicle. Once he had opened the door, I hopped inside. It was nice. As I awaited his return, I thought about my plans. Different ways to kill him.

Jacob: Plotting a murder, are we?

He smiled. My head shot up.

Autumn: Yeah, yours.

He laughed.

Jacob: Okay, baby.

Autumn: I am not your baby.

Jacob: But you will be.

Autumn: Yeah, okay.

I rolled my eyes. He just smiled as he began to pull off.

Jacob: Autumn..

Autumn: Jacob..

I snapped back at him.

He gave me a look and then proceeded to drive.

Jacob: There's something terribly wrong with you..

I laughed and then suddenly stopped.

Autumn: You think?

Jacob: Listen.. I'm not going anywhere until I know for sure you're okay.

Autumn: I'm fine.

He abruptly stopped the car and looked at me.

Jacob: Oh really?

Autumn: Really.

Jacob: Okay..

He got out of the car and walked to my side, then opened my door.

Autumn: What are you doing?

Jacob: Get up.

Autumn: What?

Jacob: You heard me, Autumn. Get up!

Autumn: I am not your damn dog!

I said, getting up with my arms crossed.

Jacob: Now walk.

Autumn: Why?

Jacob: Because I said so.

Autumn: That's not a very good reason.

He sighed.

Jacob: Autumn please.. Just do it..

I glared at him for a while.

Autumn: Fine.

I began to walk. It hurt a little, but not a lot. I think I would've been good for about twenty minutes.. Or ten.. Okay.. Maybe five..

Jacob: Girl, get back in this car before you break something..

Autumn: What's it to you?

Jacob: Autumn, just get in the car.

Autumn: And what if I don't want to?

I challenged him with my arms crossed. He rolled his eyes and came over to me.

Man.. This girl is really playing around too much. If she thinks this is cute.. It's working.. But anyway.. I had two reasons to see her walk. One, to see if she really didn't need me - which I already knew the truth.. And two.. I wanted to see if that ass was still fat. Don't judge me. That is a common male trait.. Especially for guys like me.
But whatever. I went up to her and I picked her up as if she were my bride and I, her groom.. I gotta lay off that fairytale shit with my niece man.. Damn Cinderrella got me thinking about marriage and shit.. But that's besides the point. Once I put her back in the car, I began to think about things. How in the world am I going to earn her trust back? She seems serious about this whole commitment thing and the whole shenanigan with earning her trust back.. But that should be no problem. I've done it before and I can do it again. I heard her mumbling something and I looked towards her direction.

Jacob: What'd you say?

Autumn: I said to keep driving. I'm ready to get away from you and closer to my bed.
