He took me to the school and I grabbed my work. When I returned, he was gone. Figures.. I took the liberty of walking to Autumn's house. When I got there, I didn't hesitate to knock. All I wanted was her. She could make me feel better, regardless of my situation.

Autumn: Fuck off!

Jacob: Autumn, it's me.

Autumn: Go away, I'm not in the mood for your shit!

Jacob: Autumn, listen to me. I'm not in the mood for yours either. We both had a bad day today. Now, I don't know what the fuck happened to you, but I intend to find out. Now, let me in.

I think I pissed her off even more than before. I heard the locks turn and then I saw Autumn's back walking away from me and towards her couch. I stepped inside and closed the door with a sigh.

Jacob: What's wrong?

I asked, noticing that her hair was messed up.

Autumn: I hate that bitch! I swear, when I see tomorrow I'm gonna..

She screamed in frustration. I rushed over to her and was careful not to say or do anything that would set her off.

Jacob: Who, Autumn?

Autumn: Helen! I fucking hate her!

Jacob: Tell me what happened, okay?

She began to breathe when I began to rub her back.

Autumn: I was at lunch and here she comes. Mad as hell that you broke things off completely and thought that I had something to do with it! I didn't know that you did that! I had no idea! Then she slapped my food out my hand so I got mad. Then I told her our deal again and what would happen of she ever touched me or my food again. Then she slapped me and so I jumped over the Fucking table and I beat her ass.

I looked at her face. She had scratches on it and it was red from the tears and blood that was on it. I gently touched her face and she winced in pain.

Jacob: Where do you keep your towels?

Autumn: In the bathroom. Why?

She said, in attempt to stop crying. I just got up, grabbed two towels, alcohol, a cup of water and cotton balls, then came back.

Jacob: It's okay. I'm gonna help you. You should take the day off tomorrow and I'll take care of things, okay?

Autumn: No, Jacob. I have to be there. We have to present our project.

Jacob: It's okay. I'll be fine. And when you come back, I promise that Helen won't both you anymore. Okay?

She wiped her eyes.

Autumn: Why are you so nice to me?

Jacob: Because I Love You and I'm changing.

Autumn: But why?

Jacob: You slow me down. You keep me going. Everything that I thought was good, was no good. The only good that I have now, is you.

She shook her head.

Autumn: You don't even have that..

Jacob: But I will.

I said, lifting her chin. I began to wipe her face and when I was done, I kissed her forehead. If this is how my life would be like if we were together, then so be it. A new adventure awaits every single day. I looked down at her seemingly ripped one piece suit and carried her upstairs so that she could get ready for bed.

Autumn: Jacob?

Jacob: Yes?

Autumn: What ruined your day?

Jacob: It's not important. Go ahead and get washed up. I'll be down here waiting for you.

She nodded and I smiled at her. Then I waited downstairs for her. She came back down with a black housecoat and a blanket wrapped around her.

Jacob: There she is. My beautiful girl.

Autumn: Your girl?

Jacob: Oh.. I forgot to ask.. Will you be my girl again?

Autumn: I was never your girl.. Things just got out of hand and.. I can't right now..

I sat up and she sat down.

Jacob: Why not?

Autumn: Because I still don't feel as if you're ready of mature enough yet.

Jacob: What do I have to do? Tell me the whole list and baby, I'll do it.

Autumn: I'm not your baby.

Jacob: Autumn, just tell me.

Autumn: I can't tell you what to do for everything. You have to be a man and figure it out for yourself.

Jacob: Damn it, Autumn.. You better be glad I Love You.

I grinned. Then I leaned back and extended my arms to her.

Autumn: What?

Jacob: May I hold you? At least let me do that.

She crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out at me.

Jacob: Come on..

Autumn: Nope.

Jacob: Autumn..

Autumn: Jacob..

Jacob: That's it.. Come here you!

Autumn: JACOB!

I grabbed her and held her close. It was the best feeling in the world to have this girl in my arms.

Jacob: Autumn.. I Love You..

I said, looking her in the eyes. She just looked down and slowly sat up. I kept looking at her..

Autumn: Jacob, I-.

Jacob: You don't have to say it back until you're ready. Let's just enjoy the movie, okay?

She nodded and sat there.. Out of my arms.. Watching.. I crawled over to her and pulled her back down with me.. She soon fell asleep and I thought that it was the most beautiful thing in the world. My phone began to vibrate, which caused her to stir and I answered it.

Jacob: Hello?

Mom: Jacob O'Neal Latimore, where are you?

Jacob: I'm with Autumn. She had a bad day and trust me.. It was bad, so I stayed to comfort her.

Mom: Do you know what time it is?

I glanced at my phone.

Jacob: Eleven something.

Mom: It is Eleven o'clock, exactly. You were supposed to be in bed and sleep right now!

Jacob: Well, no disrespect momma. But I was about to fall asleep when you called.

Mom: So that in the morning she can wake up screaming?

Jacob: It's better than her waking up upset because I wasn't with her. Momma, listen. I'm fine. Trust me.

She was silent.

Jacob: I promise I'll come home, okay?

Mom: Fine.. I wanted to know how your day went with your father.

Jacob: We talked very little, he bought us hotdogs. I told him I needed to get my school work and see about my girl so he dropped me off at school and when I came back, he was gone. So I walked to Autumn's house and that's it. There ain't much to tell.

Mom: Well.. At least you both talked..

Jacob: Yeah.. At least..

Mom: Well, I'll se you when you get home, okay?

Jacob: Okay, ma.

Mom: I Love You.

Jacob: I Love You Too, Ma.

We hung up and Autumn's fingers began to dig into my skin as she moaned a little. It was cute and I just couldn't wait until she was offcially mine.
