—The next day—
Autumn woke in an unfamiliar room, swarmed by the unfortunate events of the previous day. Those memories had haunted her throughout the night, ensuring that she got no rest. Trying to take her mind off the events of the welcoming feast and sorting ceremony, she looked around her new room. At the minute, it was a sea-green and blue room with a chest of drawers on the opposite side of the room to her, shimmering silver to a stormy grey.
The heiress attempted to get out of her bed, only for Dorcha to let out a soft cry of warning to her human. it is uncommon that students, while in their first year, find their familiar. If they were to, the bond would be blocked for the first two years of their schooling, other than the natural instincts of protecting the other from harm and being together during any activities.
Unfortunately, Autumn was the exception to the rest yet again, having found her phoenix familiar the day that she went to Diagon alley. She moved her trunk from where it was, beside her bed, to across the room, where it would be unpacked later.
As the supposed 'Dark Princess' was getting ready in anticipation for the school day, she remembered some names from her infancy, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin and James Potter. The marauders were originally on the correct side of the war until they had brought Lily Potter, a strong Dumbledore supporter, to a meeting and she sold us all out. Even her own husband and, though she didn't know that he was there, her son was always with me, in my room, so we did not attract any attention from those outside the inner circle.
She packed her bag with all her books using an undetectable extension charm that she had mastered the previous night even though it was supposedly a third-year charm. Then she went out the plain door in the middle of the left wall, taking her inside the great hall.
Autumn moved silently toward the Ravenclaw table, ignoring the stares and whispers that her presence seemed to cause. Wanting the day to be over before it had fully started, she sat at the end of the table that is empty except for three other students: The head girl and the two prefects, all three of them talking animatedly, not even noticing that said first-year was sitting near them. She began to eat delicately yet rushed, as if the other students would take her food should she hesitate.
The Quadra-housed brunette was stared at for multiple minutes by the rest of her year as if she had morphed into her father, or worse, Gellert Grindelwald. All looked away hastily after the potions master and professor approached Autumn, saying that the headmaster had requested her presence with the utmost urgency.
With that as her exiting cue, she left the hall as fast as possible, causing stares and odd looks to follow her sudden departure, entering the Headmaster's office in minutes.
Draco PoV
Draco was one of the many that had glanced up from his house's table to gasps from anyone and everyone in the great hall. The Queen of Hogwarts (as everyone was calling her) had just so happened to exit at the same time as the-boy-who-lived entered. The Malfoy heir had managed to become the 'chosen one's enemy even before the sorting ceremony, he had offered his friendship and Harry had refused it saying that the second-youngest Weasley would do fine as a friend and slapped his hand away.
Anyway, the Slytherin princess made her way over to the Ravens nest and ignored the multitudes of deadly glares from almost anyone who looked her way. Much to their distaste, the Slytherins had to share their Princess with the know-it-alls in the blue house, the idiotic show-offs in the house of the lion and (though no-one was mad about the last) the kindly Hufflepuffs.
As she sat down (at the head of the table by the way) the Slytherin students were all given their timetables for the year of torture ahead.

Suffice to say, few first-year students were pleased that they had to have lessons with the other three houses; the Gryffindors were causing an uproar about learning with snakes that could have been heard from the other end of the school, Ravenclaws were obviously disgruntled by the fact they had to endure the rowdy students during lessons, most Slytherins were scowling at the actions the other houses were taking, all while Hufflepuff students were eating quietly and a few were trying to calm the Gryffindor students from their rage.
After breakfast, the young Slytherins made their way to the greenhouses and they found themselves surrounded by fellow pure bloods as if on instinct; not that any of them were complaining, yet they had to wear their masks during school hours.
