Jin's POV

Sunday 8:00am

Few days have passed after our examination and here I am lying on my bed, our teachers gave us a fifthten days vacation, i'm bored, Father went to Paris yesterday for some important event that I don't know what it is because he didn't tell me when I asked him, and now it's just me inside the palace with the maids and butlers.

I want to hang out again with Y/n, I lazily rolled to my side and looked at the picture of us at the amusement park with our alpaca plushy which I putted on the frame and displayed it on the nightstand, I smiled as I stared at her in the picture, she looked so happy. These passed few days, I asked Mr Chung to get some details about her. According to him, Y/n's parents are already dead due to car accident when she was three years old, she only had her grandmother, and working at a coffee shop every sunday as a part timer. I feel sad for her. She is such an hardworking person and I admired her for that, despite of being an orphan at the very young age she managed to live without the help of anyone, except her grandmother. Unlike me, I want to try living in a normal life, act being myself, freely do the things what the ordinary people do, but I cannot because i'm a prince who needs to do the proper etiquettes for a prince or act in an elegant way, and dress well in a fancy clothes, learn all the things what a prince should learn just to make the imperial family proud of me. I sigh and sat up, then Y/n came into my mind again. I want to see her, It's been almost a week since I last saw her after our exam and to be honest I feel like my day is not complete without seeing her. I miss her.

"That's it, i'm going to see her now." I said to myself and stood up from my bed heading directly to my closet, and changed into a normal outfit. "I need to look like an ordinary person so no one would recognize me, wait... my hair." I mumbled and headed to my bathroom, to be honest, the imperial family didn't exposed my face to the people, only the imperial workers and Captain Namjoon knows what I look like.

(A/n: You will find out in the next chapter why the imperial family didn't exposed Jin's face to the people.)

Sneaking out of my room after checking if there are maids around, I tiptoed downstair making sure not to create a noise, "I need to find Mr Chung." I mumbled, I passed by at the palace's garden and saw Mr Chung standing there alone, I quickly went to him.

"Mr Chung!" I whispered yell his name which startled him.

"Goodness! Your higne--"

"Shhs!" I covered his mouth by my hand "Mr Chung, I need to go somewhere." I said purposedly lowering my voice so no one can hear us, then I removed my hand.

"B-but your highness, your father told me to not let you go somewhere out of this palace during your vacation day." He said worriedly.

"Please Mr Chung, don't worry I'll talk to my father after this. Please,please,please." I keep saying the word 'please' and clinging on his arm who's now on the verge to cry, afraid to lose his job, I don't want him to lose his job but I really want to see    Y/n.

(Few minutes later~)

"I'm dead...i'm totally dead." Mr Chung said while driving. While me sitting on the passenger seat smiling like an excited kid.

"I'm so happy Mr Chung, and I promise you won't lose your job. Trust me." I patted his shoulder and gave him an assuring nod.

"We are here now your highness. May i know if why you are so eager to visit this Coffee Shop?" He asked me sound so curious as he parked the car.

"I want to see her..." The words that automatically escaped from my mouth.

Y/N's POV

...

9:00am

"Here is your coffee ma'am." I simply smile handing the coffee to the customer.

"Thank you." She said and leaves.

I fixed my apron, getting the rag and cleaned the counter. Then headed to the area where we put the cleaning tools, I grabbed the mop and started mopping the floor. Then I heard the sound of the door opens telling that another customer enters.

(A/n:I will let you decide the name for the coffee shop.)

"Welcome to _________ Café!" I greeted without looking at the customer, I put the mop away and turn to face the customer but got surprised when I saw him standing close to me, making me step backward on the wet floor and was going to slip but he quickly caught me on my waist.

"Whoa, Careful princess." He said, smiling at me, pulling me up so I can stand well.

What is he doing here?

"Jin, w-what are you doing here?" I asked, then I noticed some strand of his hair under the red hat he is wearing, it's not pink anymore, it's black now.

"I...i'm with my dad and he wants to drink coffee so...here I am. I don't know you are working here." He said and slid both of his hands in his blue hoodie's pocket.

"You are with your dad? Wh--" my words were cutted of when a man in a formal attire enters the café, looking at us.

"Your--" The man was going to say something but Jin interrupts.

"Dad! I want you to meet my friend." Jin said and quickly went beside him. He is the father of Jin? I mentally asked while looking at them, his father's eyes widened looks like surprised when Jin called him 'dad', Jin whispered something to him which I don't know what, his dad just mouthed an 'o' after and smiled at me.

"So, you are my son's friend." He said as he approaches me with Jin beside him.

"Yes. I'm Han, Y/n...nice to meet you Mr Kim." I said and sheepishly smiled and bowed to him as my respect.

"I know dear, he talks alot about you." He said which surprised me a bit and I feel my face blushing. Jin talks a lot about me?

"Dad.." Jin murmured, I turn my gaze to him and saw his face blushing too, I quickly diverted my gaze when our eyes meets.

"Um, what coffee do you want by the way Mr Kim?" I asked his father, changing the topic.

"Oh, I will have caramel macchiato." His father said and I politely nod then looked at Jin, our eyes meet again.

"Same with him." He said, I walked to the counter and made their coffee, while i'm making their coffee I saw Jin whispered something again to his dad. Weird.

"Y/n, here is the list of the things that we need in the storage room." I heard my boss said after getting out of the storage room and hand me the list.

"Excuse me, are you Y/n's boss?" Mr Kim approached him.

"Yes I am. Why?" My boss asked him.

"I need something to talk with you." Mr Kim said.

"Oh, okay."

My boss and Mr Kim went somewhere leaving me and Jin who's standing across the counter silently looking at how I make their coffee.

"Done, here." I said handing the two medium sized cup of caramel macchiato to him he gladly took them then our hands brushed, I feel something weird.

After a few seconds, his father and my boss came back with a smile on their faces.

"Y/n, I have to close this café today because I have something important to do. Take this day as your dayoff." My boss said which made me confused a bit.

Why the sudden?

"Okay, Sir." I said and removed the apron from me with a confused face.

After my boss closed the café, here I am now walking with Jin on the street, his father also said he had an emergency meeting and he needs to go leaving Jin with me. Why do I feel something's wrong? I thought to myself.

"Y/n?" I heard him called me, I lift up my face to look at him then realized that we are now standing at the park. Wait, when did we got here?!

"Yes?"

"Are you okay?" He asked me looking concerned.

"Yeah, i'm fine." I muttered and looked down to the ground then back to him.

"Let's buy an ice cream, my treat." He said and I followed him. After we buy an ice cream we sat on the bench at the park, licking our ice cream while watching some kids playing around the park with their parents.

"So, how's your day after our exam? I guess you went to a trip." I started the conversation to break the silence around us while licking my ice cream, eyes still watching the kids playing around.

"I didn't go on a trip. I feel so bored these passed few days...it's boring without you." His last words made me choke on my ice cream.

*Cough* *Cough*

"My god, Y/n.." He said concernedly tapping my back and handed me a bottle of water. I took it from him and drank it.

"Are you okay now?" He asked with a concerned look, I just nod at him. "Did I said something wrong?" He added.

"No you didn't, Jin." I looked at him waving my hands. Then I took a glance on my watch which tells me that it's already 11:27am,  I need to go home but before that I need to buy her medicine.

"Jin, I'm sorry I need to go home now." I said and stood up.

"Let me take you home." He said and stood up. I was going to say he don't have to because I can manage by myself but he already grabbed my hand and started walking before I can say those words. Right, I forgot that he's a stubborn friend. I looked down to our intertwined hands and realized something. I missed this, I missed the warm of his hand. Wait, why am I thinking like this? I shrugged off my thoughts.

"Jin, we need to pass by on the nearest pharmacy, I need to buy a medicine." I said and he looked at me.

"Wait, are you sick?" He placed his hand on my forehead checking my temperature.

"No I'm not sick, it's for my halmoni." I quietly said and his face look more concerned.

...

(Few minutes later)

...

"Well, I will go now, I hope your halmoni will recover soon." He said with a concerned look as soon as we arrived, we are now in front of my house.

"Jin wait," I grabbed his arm "how about you join us for lunch before you head home since it's lunchtime." I said and his face brighten up and smiled at me.

"Well, I won't say no when it comes to food." He said and chuckled, I playfully hit his arm.

"But it's just spicy naengmyeon and kimchi stew." I shyly said scratching the back of my neck even though it's not itching, well I'm like this when I'm feeling shy or nervous, one of my habits.

"whatever it is, it's fine with me princess." He winked at me, I feel my cheeks blushing again, I quickly looked down to my feet to hide my face. Gosh, why am I like this?

"Well, then let's get inside." I said and turned around, getting inside the house with him.
