Q: What do you find inspires most of your stories?

Books, movies, games, overall other stories and interesting characters. Random ideas that pop into my head. Most of the time I imagine cool interactions between my main characters and then the story around that interaction slowly begins to unfold.

Q: How do you plan out your stories?

I usually plan out the flow of the story in my head. When I have a general idea of what I want to happen, I try to do an in-depth outline and sort my scenes in the right order. There's usually a lot of random scene writing happening in between where I just think: damn that interaction/scene/conversation is cool and write it down.

Q: What do you hope your readers will like best about your stories?

The banter 😄 or just my main characters annoying each other. I usually have the most fun writing that.

Q: Do you have a favorite author on Wattpad? If so, who? What story is your favorite?

My fav author is definitely @Allrenwrote. And my favorite story of hers is Rooming With The Wicked.

Q: How did you get started with Wattpad?

My best friend started writing stories and convinced to give it a try. I actually started with ONC and it sort of developed from there.

Gotta be honest: I often sit at my desk and giggle to myself like some evil mastermind while writing scenes where my characters suffer through hardships. My best friend then usually has to hear about it whether she wants to or not. Her fault for getting me started on writing 😄

I'm super hyped about the new book I'm currently writing, an urban paranormal/fantasy story: After setting up in a backwater town that is not as peaceful as it appears, Jade, a witch, has to assist a witch hunter in an investigation of a dark ritual while concealing her true identity. 

About the Story

Q: How did you come up with your main character, Taylor?

I knew I wanted Taylor to have eczema because I know from personal experience how it can affect a person's life. Then I did a lot of additional research, to get impressions about other people, if they had similar experiences, and what they were most concerned about or struggled with. Coupled with the few scenes I had already written out, her character sort of unfolded from that.

Q: Do you have a favorite scene?

That's a tough one. I like all the scenes with banter of course, or whenever they get under each other's skin. The scene after the lake party where Killian runs into her and carries her back is definitely among my favorites because it's one of those I had in my head for a long time. Then I also really the fireworks scene because he's acting cute. I also love the one where they "decide" to remain friends because she feels very vulnerable in that one and he handles it so well. I could go on but I'll stop now....

Q: What inspired the premise of the story?

My biggest inspiration came from someone in my life who went through the same struggle of building trust and learning to rely on people while struggling not to let your sickness dictate how you live your life. Self-isolation and trouble with boundaries are behavior patterns that may result from suffering from severe eczema. Normal stuff like dating, intimacy, or just going to the drug store and buying shampoo suddenly becomes an issue. I thought about this aspect a lot when I wrote the story–how do you rediscover the trust in yourself when being in your own body feels like torture. My main character has to work through and overcome all these emotions and negative patterns and the people around her, but especially Killian, nudge her to grow and become a better version of herself.
