About the Author

Q: Which of your stories would you say is your favorite and why?

A: The characters are all very special to me, so it's hard to choose. But if I absolutely had to I would say AFTER THE SUN SETS because it is based on real people and real events and because I feel it is a showcase of how complex life can be.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration?

A: Life! I've recently taken to writing true stories or stories that are heavily influenced by people I know and events that happened but even when a story is complete fiction, the inspiration comes from something that I've heard or seen or experienced. It could be anything. A couple on a train or a woman having coffee at a café or two men gossiping at work... Any everyday thing can trigger my imagination if I'm in the right mood.

Q: What do you hope your readers get from your stories?

A: Probably what every writer wants... The message. Deep down, all my stories are about life and what it can deal you. I like to think that, no matter how fantastical or romantic or dramatic, my stories and my characters are relatable. I want readers to feel that and understand that they are not alone. Maybe my message can offer them some comfort or relief or, if nothing else, a good distraction for a short while.

Q: Do you have a favorite author on Wattpad? If so, who?

A: I have quite a few actually but MiniMoxx is amazing! She is the queen of romance and a wonderful person too. Also, I've recently read a book by Ravenclaw_Pride02 and her writing is genius.

Q: How did you decide to start sharing your stories on Wattpad?

A: I'm not sure. I started writing again a couple of years ago because I was going through a rough time and wanted to channel my energy into something (and run away from life a bit ). This was when I finished my first novel THE ART OF STARTING OVER. Then I decided I would share it rather than keep it to myself, if only to get some feedback from peers. I read about Wattpad and started updating chapters. Before I knew it I had a small (but wonderful) network and I never looked back.

From the Author

The decision to start writing again was probably one of the best I've made. Apart from introducing me to a new world and life, it is therapeutic and one of the few things that keep me going. I am so thankful to my readers (even if the number is a very humble one) and would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for being offered this opportunity. In the meantime, I would appreciate honest feedback on my stories as that helps me grow and encourages me to write more!

About the Story

Q: What do you like most about Alison Lewis?

A: Alison Lewis is such a colourful character, I don't know where to begin with her. I feel like she is literally all of us. She goes through so much and despite her being exhausted and fed up, she remains resilient and fiesty and afraid at the same time. She has no idea how special she is and I find that endearing. She's innocent and kind and so lost. She is the inner voice of many people, I think.

Q: Are any of the characters based off of people you know?

A: No, not truly. I feel many of them have many bits and pieces of my own personalities (yes, plural, as it really depends on my mood ). As I said, I wrote THE ART OF STARTING OVER while I really needed an escape, so I poured a lot of myself into it, and naturally, into the characters.

Q: Is there an element in your story that you're especially proud of?

A: Millie. I think the love that woman shows and infuses into every other character is very powerful. She is linked to every event in the main characters' lives and shows that, in the end, love and endurance keep us going. I'm very proud that I created her and that I managed to embody my definition of love through her character.

Q: What is your favorite scene and why?

A: This is a hard one! I think I have to go with The Dance, when Jeremy is on the brink of losing control with Ally for the first time. They toe the line of their relationship a lot but I think that moment, alone on the beach, as he holds her for the first time in the way he's been dreaming of doing for so long, is when Jeremy truly realises he won't be able to hold back with her. It is the first time he allows himself to go to a length he's not comfortable with and ends up running away as his bravado fails. More than that, it's when Ally is scared by her feelings for the first time after not feeling anything for so many years. For me, it's one of the most powerful pivotal moments in the novel.
