Dear Whoever reads this,

Today has been,,, a day lol. So I think I slept like four hours at the most ? possibly three. I ended up staying up last night because my friend sent me a tiktok and it distracted me so i ended up watching tiktoks until like 5am. my mom woke me up at around 9:30

so a big funfact: walmart doesn't recognize getting glasses as an essential need. they literally don't recognize being able to see as essential. really pissed us off, especially me bc i barely slept so that i could wake up early to go get it all figured out. basically, it worked out because i've basically been buying the same style of glasses since i've started wearing them (the stereotypical big black nerd frames) so the woman there just grabbed a pair off the shelf and we went with it, and she passed it as essential because with my current prescription that i'm wearing it's getting tough to see while driving at night, and that's: bad. 

anyways after that fiasco ended my sister tori really wanted dunkin donuts so my mom and i waited in the drive thru for almost forty minutes ?? literally i don't understand how my mom just sat patiently through that like just vibing in the car. we got home from dunkin just in time for my english class to start at 12. literally, just in time. like, when we pulled into the driveway my phone's alarm went off with the reminder to log on to zoom. 

english was LOTS of fun today for absolutely no reason haha. there's this girl who i somewhat dislike because she loves to analyze everything that we read wrong. like, i know when it comes to analyzing things as long as you can support it you're not technically wrong. but like... most of the stuff that came out of her mouth would be weird obscure thoughts that usually comes out of your mouth when you're writing a 1000 word essay and you're missing like 100 words. instead that stuff would just come straight out like a main event. 

anyways, so this girl wasn't in class on tuesday and i realized that she was missing today as well. in the nicest way possible, it gave me peace of mind. the best way to describe listening to her describe literature, is it's like when i guy tries to mansplain something to a woman that he barely knows about while she's an expert. it's just,, annoying. 

in class we were talking about ideology and marxist criticism, and part of that is talking about classifications (think the caste system in the selection). to make a point about it, my teacher showed us this video from the early 1940s when women first started joining the workforce, and the video was entitled "Supervising Women." It was SUPER sexist and highkey patronizing and basically a training video that went along the lines of saying hey women can work great when you let them, you just got to take the time to really let them digest how to do the work and explain it to them. 

then we talked about the short story the lottery, which i told y'all about yesterday. there's apparently a short film based on the lottery on youtube (you can look it up if you want) that was made in the 60s, and my teacher showed us a five minute snipet of the film where the oldest guy who lives in the town was basically heckling all the villagers for no reason and being annoying. my teacher ended class by saying "okay extra credit is to guess how long until i start to reach the point where i become [old man character]."

all in all english was really fun today.

english is my only class on thursdays, so after that i was somehow able to watch TEN episodes of good luck charlie in one sitting. like i don't even think i stopped to pee. i got a lot of notes written down for my field project so that's awesome. after watching good luck charlie until it felt like my head would explode, i learned about five new tiktok dances. it was lots of fun to learn them and i can't wait to actually record doing the dances with aspen tomorrow. 

aspen is my best friend who comes over every friday to hang out with my family and make tiktoks with me. we met through our church, and our moms are best friends. basically aspen is like my other half ? like we just vibe and i don't think i've ever had a friend who's understood me as well as her. it's wild how we got close because she would come over to watch shadowhunters with my sister, and when that ended my sister went away to college but she would still come over to my house anyways and i eventually got her hooked onto watching glee. 

anyways, i learned a whole bunch of tiktok dances, and then i took a shower bc yk... hygiene lmao. after my shower i watched like half an episode of dance moms but got distracted and started to watch a few tiktoks. around this time is when i opened wattpad and put that new message on my message board i think. 

anyways i guess i lost track of time because suddenly it was 10 and time for my nightly marathon to watch the originals with my sister. we made some brownies and now we're watching the show. after i finish typing this i'm going to play some wizard101 while continuing to watch the originals. 

nightly routine will follow, of (after finishing our little marathon) scrolling through reddit until i crash. 

anyways idk today was oddly eventful but at the same time not???
