District 6 Female- Esme Hathaway
Name: Esme Hathaway
Age: 14
Gender: Female
District: 6
Appearance: Esme has long, wavy, reddish-brown hair. Her hazel eyes are always sparkling, and she has a light cover of freckles on her nose and cheeks. Esme's hair is usually down. She stands at a height of 5"1.
Personality: Esme has a fiery attitude and head full of sass that-more often than not-gets her into trouble. She is quick to react, and can make decisions on her feet. Once she has a goal, she will never stop trying until she gets it. And her current goal is winning the Games.
Background: Esme's past isn't exactly the best out there. Ever since she was born, her father had despised her. 'Another boy. All I ever wanted was another boy, and what do I get? A girl!'
Mike, Esme's older brother, was clearly the favourite child. Esme was always ignored, and it hurt her. It changed her from sweet and innocent to strong and underestimated.
Esme wants nothing more than to prove herself to her father and brother. Every afternoon after school, when her father was at work and her brother with his friends, she would train. Esme trained hard so that she would be prepared for the Hunger Games. She wanted to be appreciated. And she knows that the best way for that to happen is to volunteer. Esme will not rest until she has killed every tribute and won the Games.
Strengths: 1. Running. Esme runs like a bullet train. She sometimes can't stop.
2. Dealing with rude comments. You poke fun at her hair or past, you better be prepared for a sassy reply and a hair flip. But while Esme might not show it, the words cut her heart like a knife.
Weaknesses: Heavy weights. While Esme is good at hand-to-hand combat and weapons, she can't lift a dumbbell to save her life. But don't underestimate her.
Weapon: It's close between a bow and arrows and a sword, but bow and arrows wins.
Token: A bandana around her wrist. She would always wear one back home, so it connects her to her district.

GAMEMAKER REACTIONS
Tris frowns as she scans through Esme's profile. "Gosh, the sexism is everywhere. When will males finally learn that girls are equal to them, maybe even better?" She sighs, shaking her head.
"I know. But in a way it really shaped Esme's personality." Annabeth agrees.
"Yes, but for the good or bad?" Artemis Fowl questions her.
"Hm... I guess it kind of depends." She scratches her head. "Because on one hand, being ambitious can sometimes lead to downfall while her quick thinking attitude can save her where others can not. But then there's how good the decision is too."
"Exactly." Artemis nods.
"What about the personality then?" Tris inquires.
"What do you think? What are the cons and pros of her sassy and fiery attitude?" He gestures for Tris to speak.
"Um, well I mean her stubbornness on winning the games can give her lots of motivation and like can drive her forward when she feels like giving up..." She starts.
"And?"
"And that's good. But truth is when Esme's really injured and not really able to fight for her life, it wouldn't do as much good. That's where she's most vulnerable." Tris finishes.
"Yes. Good job Tris." Artemis nods again. "And for my part, I think it is brave of her to volunteer to show her family that just because she's a girl doesn't mean she can be underestimated. But I am not completely sure if that choice was a truly courageous and heroic one, or one that would lead to her downfall and early death."
