Begin!

Virgil POV

"My Robes are a bit big..." I mumbled looking down at them. "Here!" Alyssa exclaimed pulling out her wand, "Um, Wait-" I started but she interrupted me, "Multicorfors!"She said waving her wand. I covered my eyes, terrified of what might happen. After a few moments, I cautiously took my hands away from my face. Alyssa was beaming proudly at me, and I looked down. They were the right size. "Wow! Thanks!" I exclaimed in awe, "You're welcome! To be honest, I thought you were going to explode..." She said sheepishly. "What?" I asked, not hearing what she said. "U-Um! N-Nice weather we're having! H-Hehe!" Alyssa laughed nervously. Kaycie, who was reading a school book, looked up and said: "She said she thought you were going to explode."

"Gee, Thanks." I said rolling my eyes, "Hey! It was my first spell! Give me a break..." She mumbled the last part. Kaycie smirked and shook her head.  The train stopped, and we all lurched forward a bit. I looked out the window to see trails with carriages, pulled by boney horses with wings. "Guys!" I exclaimed, "We're here!" Alyssa, Kaycie, Deciet, and Patton all Cheered in delight and the five of us rushed out, Our pets either in our hands or running out with us.

We got on the boat with the Gatekeeper, Hagrid, where we got our first glimpse of Hogwarts. Pretty epic if you ask me.

Patton POV

I cheerfully whisper-shouted "Oh gosh, I hope I'm in Hufflepuff!" "I want to be in Slytherin." Kaycie said hopefully, "Hufflepuff!" Alyssa chanted. With Alyssa still chanting, Virgil and Deceit said: "I don't care."

Professor McGonagall pulled out a stool with an old beat up hat sitting on top of it. McGonagall pulled out a scroll and began reading,

 "The start of term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room. The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting."

She rolled the scroll up and walked off to the side. The Great hall fell silent, looking at the hat expectantly. A rip in the hat opened like a mouth and began to sing:

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folk use any means
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!"

The Great hall burst into applause and McGonagall began reading names.

"McLaren, Erin" became Hufflepuff, "Linil, Sphinx" Became a Slytherin.

Alyssa POV

"Rro, Alyssa." McGonagall called, "Oh my god!" I squealed under my breath, Kaycie pushed me forward with a "Go on!" I tumbled forward and quickly ran up the steps. I placed the hat on my head and sat, gripping the stool. Ah yes, you should be fairly easy. A voice whispered You are very Loyal, sometimes hardworking, Dedicated... a tendency to run... Slytherin, Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff... I would say Hufflepuff, What would you say? The voice asked me, "Hufflepuff," I whispered. "HUFFLEPUFF!" The hat shouted. I took a breath and taking the hat off, I walked to the clapping Hufflepuff table. I waved to my friends and took a seat.

Deceit POV

"Bribery, Deceit." "Okay, here I go!" I said confidently. I marched up the steps and placed the hat upon thy head. Hmm, you are a little difficult... A voice whispered. But nothing I can't deal with. "SLYTHERIN!" The hat suddenly shouted. I put the hat down and waved at my friends as I sat down at my table.

Kaycie POV

"You know that Sphinx Linil guy they called earlier?" I said turning to the others, "What about him?" "He and Jinx beat up Deceit!" I said crossing my arms, "WHAT?!" Patton screeched. All the heads in the hall turned and looked at him, But he didn't notice. "Woah, Woah, WOAH, I took care of it." I said, "What. Did. You. Do?" "Haha..." I laughed nervously. "Kaycie." Patton said through gritted teeth, "I bonded them," I muttered, "Kaycie..." Patton sighed.

"I'm sorry!" I said, "I had to..."

Virgil POV

"Thorn, Virgil." I sucked in a breath. "What if I'm all alone...? What if I'm not good enough to be in any houses...?" I whispered to myself, but Patton heard. "Oh, Virge!" He said throwing his arms around me. "Of course you're good enough! Now go!" He nudged me forward. I started forward but I hear him shout cheerfully behind me: "And if I hear you talk bad about yourself again I will physically fight you!"

I chuckled a bit and placed the hat upon my head.

Hmmm... You certainly are a difficult one... You can be cunning in your own way... I'll just have to say... The voice whispered "SLYTHERIN!" the hat shouted, and the great hall filled with the clapping coming from the table. I stood up and high fived deceit as I sat down.

Patton POV

"Pierce, Patton." I jumped up and squealed "Yes!" I ran up the steps and placed the hat on my head, Almost immediately it shouted "HUFFLEPUFF!".

I ran towards Alyssa who beamed at me. I sat down.

3rd person

Dumbledore stood as Patton sat.
