The Victor

This game was, by far, one of the most exciting games we've had. Everyone did so well and we are so pleased to have you all here. All of you pulled together to make these such a wonderful games, and, while we'd have loved to have seen everyone make it this far, we are especially proud of all of the tributes that made it to here. Everyone did their very best, and it showed! So many people have made strides in their writing and we cannot wait to see you back in our next games! ;) Now, we could go on and on about how amazing you all did, but it's time to cut the nerves for these last six tributes who've been anxiously awaiting their place. We are proud to announce,

IN SIXTH PLACE

CADETTE LANCE (Panem_)

Cadette Lance was one of our favorite characters throughout this entire games. Unique and true to herself, she might have been a little old lady but she had more heart than the rest of us combined. She was a pleasure to read about and we always found ourselves looking forward to her entries. Everything about Cadette was wonderful, and portrayed with such accuracy that you could tell a lot of time and thought was put into her.

IN FIFTH PLACE

CONSTANTINE CRAINE (thisismyplutonym)

Constantine Craine was memorable from the moment we saw him in that pink shirt. Although he had his ups and downs in scores, we were honestly rooting for him the whole time. His descriptions blew us away more often than not and his relationship with Cadette was heartwrenching. Pluto, you did a fantastic job and we're so proud of you.

Congratulations to our semi-finalists! It's been wonderful.

And now:

IN FOURTH PLACE

HERTZEL KOZLOWSKI (CrocodileRocker)

Hertzel was a character unlike anything we've seen before. His voice was unmistakable, and the vocabulary used in every entry was an enjoyable learning experience for us and an excellent extension of his character. When we first got in the form, we didn't know what to expect, but his author consistently impressed us with his style. Although his time in the arena is up, he will definitely be one of our most memorable tributes for the rest of our hosting careers, and we're proud to have him.

IN THIRD PLACE

ASHRE RELICKS (lostwithmyfriends)

Ashre Relicks was a tribute that constantly managed to surprise us. His entries were fantastically entertaining and the more his character unfolded, the more we loved him. The poetic style of the writing was beautiful and quickly made him distinct. There was nothing about him we didn't love, and thinking about him now makes our heart ache. You did a stupendous job.

IN SECOND PLACE

EDEN KARAM (TheCatKing)

Joe, you scare the hell out of us. And the only one who scares the hell out of us more is Eden. She truly is the Conqueror and deserves to go down in history as one of our all-time favorite competitors. We saw her win the first time around, as competitors instead of judges, so knowing that she'd be joining us once more was exciting from the start. You did her justice, keeping with her character and following her storyline to the end.

And that means the winner is:

IN FIRST PLACE

PERCY COLE (ShayTree)

Shay, you entered these games as a chance to prove that you deserved Percy's first win. Let us be the first to say that you have absolutely wiped the doubt from our mind that anyone else could have taken his place. From his characterization to the description of those around him, up until his final moments on earth, he was fantastically written. Every entry was something to look forward to and we've never been prouder.

Thank you all for competing in Author Games: Victors of the Arena! We're so happy to have had you all and we hope to see you again for our next games!
