Fawn Elphinstone was a very patient woman--but her patience ran thin when her colleagues didn't show up on the most important day of the year. They were supposed creating Victor Backdrops to allow the citizens of Panem to get to know the newest tributes, but Fawn found herself all alone while Drake and Amelia were off doing hell knows what. More than likely fornicating like rabbits and scarring the Avoxes. 

Groaning, she turned to the files that lay scattered across her desk. Narratives of daring victories, near death experiences, some sob-story reaping ceremonies, lives of every day people swept up by starlight, and even interviews were before her. Everything necessary to build the best Games the Capitol had seen in years. Only the best could be shown to the public and Fawn wasn't about to lose her job because of two entitled slackers. She'd stay up all night if she had to, pulling in as much information about the freshly reaped tributes as she could. Now was the time to work.

The door flew open, crashing against the wall with a sound that made her cringe. Swaggering through like an over-plumed peacock came the red-haired devil himself, no doubt with his partner in crime not far behind. "Sorry I'm late," he said as he yawned, "I was getting laid." Fawn resisted the urge to roll her eyes, lips pursing as Amelia sauntered in with her hips swaying. She tossed her hair behind her, smiling as if the cameras were already rolling.

"Fawn," Amelia began. She didn't get far into whatever her excuse was.

Sighing, Fawn stood and placed a hand on her desk. "No time for that. Do what you want on your own time, right now I need the two of you to get to work. The President wants these tributes shining in all their glory to the public and we're going to give him that, no matter how far we have to dig."

"Pull that broomstick out of your ass, Fawn," Drake remarked. "We know how to run this show."

"Oh, shut up and read the backstories already."

★THE TASK★

In true Author Games tradition, the first task will have multiple options for you to choose from. Please choose one of the below options to complete, and name your choice in the subject line of your email.

Option One: The Victory

Show us, either through dream, narrative, or flashback, how your character won their Hunger Games. You can start as far back as you'd like, but the entry must end with them being announced as the winner. 

Option Two: The Reaping

In this option, you'll show us the first time your character was reaped/volunteered for the games. This is a task that may be easy for some because you've already had to write it, but don't think for a second that you can simply copy and paste what you've already written. We'll notice.

Option Three: A Day In The Life

Pick a random day in your Victor's life, the significance is up to you, and tell us about your character through that experience. This can be a good day, a bad day, or even just a day they stayed in their bed for twelve hours straight. As long as it is important to your character. 

Option Four: The Interview

Unlike the traditional interview task, this one will take place after your character's first victory. This will be them, freshly rehabilitated and ready for the cameras, and potentially at their strongest or weakest points.

Challenges will be awarded each round to the highest and lowest balloted persons. Other challenges might be given just because Drake and Amelia feel like it.

Since LightOfTheMooneh, thisismyplutonym, and EverydayAmazonBox all helped refer one person, the judges have decided to give them the option of either one 24 hour extension or two eight hour extensions. Please tell us below which one you would like.

All extensions must be used on or before the Quarter Finals. If anyone else was supposed to receive an extension and is not on this list, please let us know.

All sponsorships will be announced after the second task. Each judge will sponsor a maximum of two people and a minimum of none. Sponsorships are not set in stone in these games and can be gained or lost depending on performance, up until the Quarter Finals.
