TASK 1 - SHRILLS OF CRIMSON HORRORS

Cadelon gripped the arms of the leather chair, slipping further and further into it's soft and comforting touch. The reaping had commenced only hours ago and there wasn't a single hair above his neck that wasn't standing on edge. The entire staff buzzed with excitement, zipping past the hors d'oeuvres and straight to their designated stations. Even Tender had grasped onto life from his sorrow filled state.

It was no lie that Wisteria brought the games back to life, and it was Cadelon's ambition to keep it that way. Although she hadn't explain it directly, after staring intently at each day, recording data and constantly going over the feed; the goal was to put on a show.

Not one to just entertain, but to bring the audience to their knees. Let them weep together, bring forward the prosperous ideas while shoving away the guilt.

Stroking the breast pocket of his jacket, Cadelon fumbled for a minute before pulling out a charcoal hollyhock. It reminded him of death, the bitter pain that he'd soon bring to the 28 tributes. A sly grin sneaked its way upon his face just at the same time Odysseus stepped forward from the commentaries.

"Well if it isn't Cadelon Anthromis, the greatest male Game Maker of all time, hmm?" Odysseus knew just how to annoy him past the brink of insanity. Then again, it was a thin line he'd been toddling on for longer than fathomed.

Tender had also appeared, taking a seat across from them in a sleek and fitting suit, with thistles  adorning his copper hair. It was just another game for Cadelon to play. For his own enjoyment, he'd made everyone participating in the process of the games, honor the things that brought beauty to this deprived world by wearing a flower.

Cadelon chuckled in answer to Oysseus before brushing off an invisible speck of dust that wasn't there to begin with, "In do time my friend we'll show the Capitol what we're capable of, what we feel."

"For we're only as possible; such as the things impossible," Tender mimicked what Cadelon had branded into their brains.

He just didn't know how true of a statement that really was.

So we've made it this far. The tribute forms are in and the first task is just about to be underway. We trust you, as the Game Makers, that you'll follow the directions and format your entries to the correct way. This is your time to give us an impression, make us feel your character.

SHRILLS OF CRIMSON HORRORS

The goal of this round is to bring in an attribute that allows us to feel the character and you as a writer. You'll have 3 choices in which you will only pick one and follow through with your given task. This round will be a little different than what you're used to seeing in contests. Unlike the traditional Reaping Ceremony, you are already at the Capitol and preparing to be sent off into the arena.

Also, create an outfit and in detail explain how it represents your chosen flower. You'll be wearing it as you speak with Wisteria.

Which one are you?

Scars - This is the only thing that physically affects you. It shows that you're not afraid to break some of the boundaries and know that if it came down to it, you wouldn't be scared to show off the pain you've felt. Wearing them with honor, you bare them completely and don't give a second glance to those who stare in disgust. They may be thin, or dig down deeply doing much more than grazing the skin. These people are honorable and loyal, being blindsided by the true meanings and forging fake smiles.

Scratches - Shallow and wholehearted, many of these people feign belief in the Capitol's ways and fight back against the formalities of it all. Choosing to endure everything it takes as they fight for the right cause. Though they are dimwitted. Too lost in the blazing rage to realize they do more harm than good. These are not the type to stand on the sidelines and will be the ones to let the bloodshed begin as soon as the gong sounds.

Stings - They know the bite of a whip and know almost too well the taste of oil in their mouths. They are neither the underdog nor lusting with adrenaline. Usually found in the lower districts, these people have been absorbed into the thought of something diligent and levitating of a far away land. They're lost in their minds and are commonly known as lunatics. These people are crazy, so crazy that they don't blink an eye when dripping in the blood of another.

Using your choice, create an interview with Wisteria Wiles. Plot twist; she's torturing you by having a loved one tied up next to her. Of course, to keep the Capitol on their toes, it isn't obvious. Only you can tell the truth that they're in pain.

Can't lie or her razor sharp nails might just find their way across their neck. The interview is live.

DEADLINE

For this task, your deadline will be OCTOBER 17th,  9:00 PM EST Though use your time sparsely. Entries that are handed in within the first day or two are treated higher as it shows an interest. Those who turn in hours before the deadline are frowned upon. Of course, we understand if you can't get to it until then, but please take this into consideration when writing.

If you miss the deadline, or are late, expect to see a zero on the scores and rankings. That will not be tolerated. Some contests push the deadline back if there aren't a certain amount of entries turned in, we don't do that. If you enter our contest, we expect to to oblige by our rules.

Rule One; Don't be late. The Capitol doesn't accept tardiness. Also unlike last time, you get NO confirmation e-mail. If worried, please contact us after sending in.

WORD LIMIT

Commonly we have word limits that range in various ways, some even that are nonexistent. Luckily for you, we don't expect a lot and your word limit is 1,500. Although you MUST be above 500. If your entry is not, don't expect to score well, or at all. Take your time but also work efficiently. No, we're not rushing you. That should easily be said by the deadline we give. It's not hours, but days.

Extend past that limit and we can't guarantee full points earned. Some might even be docked all considering the situation. WE KNOW that the games are taking place in October through November so we're planning to give little holidays as you would if per-say, in the classroom.

SPONSORSHIP

Last games it was brought to our attention that some thought it was unfair for us to choose our sponsored after only the first task. So we took it under consideration and your right. Along with the Character Form and First Entry, you'll be sending us through via Private Message a reason why you should be sponsored. Do it immediately upon reading this chapter.

What we have to offer:

Cadelon Anthromis will be sponsoring one tribute as he's the Head Game Maker and suits him right to only have one propaganda to call his. If you're lucky enough to snag his attention you'll receive unlimited word count for every round-excluding special events-along with one automatic 12. Not to mention be excluded from ballots. Meaning no one can ballot you throughout the games.
Kill you? Yes.

Tender Exilo will, again, be sponsoring two tributes. His type is explained on his page, but one of his tributes will be in honor of Rycotta and Wisteria. That's three Game Maker personas to attract, and if you do, you'll receive one unlimited word count, to be used before the semi-finals. Also, you'll be given an in-depth review of 750 words prior to the deadline. On top of that, you get to make use of an extra death in the bloodbath and task three rounds.

Odysseus Arnórr is sponsoring two tributes. They'll be getting one unlimited word count in honor of his talkative attitude. Along with that, a bye if they end up for elimination. Then, not to mention
one automatic ten that must be used within the first five tasks. If you make that long.

There's a pRice to pay when being sponsored. Everyone sees you as a threat...

EXTRA INFORMATION

None to be told. Good luck to all of you. This first task is slightly different than the others you'll be seeing. Remember that Cadelon adores his flowers. You might just have a vicious one on your hands.

Our best regards,

Cadelon Anthromis           Tender Exilo           Obysseus Arnórr
