NAME: Wynder "Winnie" Douglas

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Wynder is pretty, but she doesn't think so. Her brown hair is almost always pulled up into a ponytail, as she feels it is to girly when it is worn down. Her green eyes are often filled with worry. She is slim, mostly from not getting enough to eat. She is pretty strong, despite being malnourished. Wynder stands at around 5'5". A small scar on the bridge of her nose is the only evidence that it was broken once-by her stepfather. She rarely smiles but when she does it doesn't reach her eyes. The day that a smile really lights up her face will be a special one, for then will the world see her true beauty.

PERSONALITY: Wynder is not outgoing, but not necessarily shy. She speaks her mind when she thinks an injustice is occurring, always standing up for her beliefs. She can be kind and sensible but also sarcastic and cold if she doesn't like someone. She is very intelligent and was the top of her class back in District 12. Sometimes she can get lost in the recesses of her mind, thinking of anything and everything.

PAST: Wynder was born into a loving family. She was her father's, Lucas, and mother's, Mandy, world. They gave her everything they could, despite their constant poverty. She was a daddy's girl, always following him around. She was his "little Winnie". Life was perfect...but all good things must come to an end. When she was nine her father became very ill, some sort of cancer she was told, but her family couldn't afford the medicine that would cure him. She was devastated when he passed away. She no longer allows herself to be called Winnie.

Wynder's mother remarried only three months later to someone named Vernon. Mandy claimed it was to help provide for their family, but Wynder hated her and her new husband. The first year they lived together they were fine, she welcomed twin little brothers. But after they were born her stepfather began to show his true colors. He was mean and abusive. Vernon often came home in drunken rages, beating both her and her mother. One good thing to come of this was that Wynder learned how to fight, especially someone bigger than her. Mandy was a coward; she wouldn't stand up to her husband or leave him. He hardly ever touched his sons though, mostly because Wynder would take the beating for them. She loved them with all her heart.

Wynder's one solace in her otherwise tragic life was her best friend and boyfriend Garrett. He was two years older but loved her whole heartedly. They would often run through the woods together, hunting for food to feed their hunger families. When the Reaping came around, Wynder was not drawn, but Garrett's twelve-year old sister was. She volunteered to take her place.

WEAPON OF CHOICE: Bow and Arrow

STRENGTHS: Wynder is very intelligent and quick. She can fight hand to hand but not necessarily any particular type, she sort of created her own to defend herself against her stepfather.

WEAKNESSES: Wynder's size is a problem as well as her daydreaming. Someone could potentially sneak up on her while she is lost in her thoughts. She fears taking a life, but will if she absolutely has to.
