Rescue Four: Antidote
Isn't your humanity a small price to pay for immortality?
Alias: Antidote
Name: Wahid Sharaz (or Wade)
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Division: Rescue and Aid
Time with SHADR: Almost a year
Citizenship: Dual-National, British Indian
Education: Bachelor's in Biochemistry from University of York
Appearance: The rigorous training that SHADR put Wade through in his first year certainly helped chisel his body and boost his confidence, but put on his white suit and gold mask, and Wade becomes Antidote, a hero with little concern for the shape his body and enough confidence that he inspires it in others. The suit itself is a fine tuxedo made from entirely white, embroidered Italian silk save for the gold Caduceus emblazoned on his back and tie. The solid gold mask covering his eyes does little to protect his identity, and all in all his attire is hardly fit for combat, but it's necessary for Wade to embody the character of Antidote.
Personality: With the mask off, Wade seems like a regular guy. Insecure, blind to his own dashing good looks, and awkward around people. He doesn't have many friends and has even less family. No family, in fact, as he's been disowned. Though he's the kind of person to bottle away disasters like that and continue on with life.
When the mask comes on, Wade becomes Antidote, and has something to prove. As the rejected son of Lightning God, one of the most powerful members of SHADR's Combat division, Antidote has big shoes to fill, in the eyes of those few who know of his heritage. He's rising the ranks in international popularity when it comes to SHADR agents, and is ranked 6th Most Handsome Hero by Glamour Magazine, which doesn't do much for his already big head. As one of the more gifted members of Rescue and Aid, whenever Wade arrives on scene, he inspires an air of calm, everyone knows they'll be alright.
And then the mask comes off again. Wade sits down on his creaky bed and never changes into anything more formal than a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms (sweatpants). He likes to keep himself separate from Antidote, doesn't think himself quite good enough to be responsible for the lives of so many. Especially with the cost his powers come with...
Metahuman Abilities: Read through his records and they'll say he can heal anything with a touch. From broken bones, to diseases to even brain damage, cancer and disabilities like blindness, paraplegia, etc. There seems to be no limit to his healing powers.
But he knows this isn't true. It comes with a price: an eye for an eye, after all. With the same touch he uses to give health, he uses to take it away. His power is transferring life-force from one being to another-- he won't be able to heal... If people don't die to fuel his power.
But you won't find that in the records. You won't find that anywhere.
