Slot Thirteen: MJ Williams

Name: Mary Jane Williams, also goes by MJ or Sheila

Age: 31

Gender: Female

Appearance: Mary Jane is of average height and, for all intents and purposes, appears just like a normal human. She has frizzy blonde hair that is a little bit below shoulder length and is usually done up with a red bandana. She has hazel eyes, light tanned skin, and a muscle-y build. She has a pink and grey galah, named Sharkbait, which she definitely did not smuggle on board in her luggage. Mary Jane put a small eye-patch on Sharkbait after he lost his eye in a fight with a crow.

Personality: Mary Jane is friendly, open, and very chatty with anyone who'll talk to her. She's a bit rough around the edges, and might be described as 'eccentric' depending on who you talk to, but she'd happily share a bottle of grog with anyone. If MJ had a motto, it would be "She'll be right" – An Australianism which roughly translates into "Have no worries, friend, everything will be fine when all is said and done." Mary Jane refuses to take anything as seriously as it probably should be, and if she didn't have to work for a living she would ideally spend her time bantering with her best friend and fellow crew member Willow Zheng. She's cheeky, loves a good laugh, and is quick to make a joke even (read: especially) if she really shouldn't.

Crew: Deck Cadet training to be a Navigator (She's an expert in navigation but is still learning how to 'behave appropriately' in a professional setting).

Phobia: Claustrophobia (If we're feeling melodramatic, you could say her biggest fear is 'going home', but lets stick with claustrophobia for now).

Other: Mary Jane is not a mysterious person; she is an open book who will answer any and all questions you might have about her past. If you ask her where she came from, she will tell you with complete earnestness that she grew up on a tropical island on the back of a giant turtle named Kevin. Nobody can find the turtle because Kevin is magic, and she left because she needed a bit of a change. If you ask her why she has an Aussie accent, she'll tell you she didn't grow up on Australia ("Although the island was very similar to Australia, to tell you the truth"). She might also insist that she can talk to animals.

This is to say that she is a completely honest and really quite normal person with no ulterior motives whatsoever.
