Helius Inc. is an American-domiciled multinational conglomerate founded in San Francisco, Northern California in the year 1977. Once a neurotechnology company under the name Cerebrutia Inc., the company saw a new operation under the brand name Helius Inc in the midst of its expansion. In the present, the core of the company specializes in advanced research in neuroimmunology but can be cited in a multiplicity of things such as nanotechnology, electrical engineering, and software development.

As of mid-2023, Helius Inc. is active in 115 countries and employs more than 150,000 people with 2,967 projects across the globe.

About the Sunlit Mariner

The Sunlit Mariner is a research vessel operated by Helius Inc as of late-2020, having previously been owned by Athens Cruiselines. One of the oldest vessels from the Athens Cruiseline fleet, the Sunlit Mariner was used as a treatment facility by the U.S. Navy during the Ebola pandemic in 2009, as hospitals became overcrowded. Although the ship was eventually returned to the cruise line the following summer, the Sunlit Mariner would see a return to the medical field, shortly after Athens Cruiselines retired her from their fleet in 2019, as the industry moved toward the use of all-electric ships. Despite her age, the Sunlit Mariner saw a makeover after coming into the possession of Helius Inc. and now serves as an overseas state-of-the-art research facility complete with full laboratories throughout the lower decks.

However, these laboratories are not open to members of the public and access to these floors will be prohibited at the time of the event. Guests will be encouraged to stay on the mid-level and upper-level decks as those are where the convention will be held.
