Hi,

I've been wanting to host an AG by myself for a while and I thought what better time than to do it when everyone's bored out of their minds during the covid-19 quarantine. That being said, welcome to Author Games: Sunlit Seas, a competition inspired by the video games Close to the Sun and Bioshock. Strong emphasis on the use of the word "inspired" and not "based on."

In case you haven't read the synopsis, this competition is about a modern alternate reality set in 2024 where the greatest scientific minds have gathered on a ship to display their inventions and recent discoveries for the world to see, unbeknownst to them that something more sinister lurks in the lower decks. On that note, you are not limited to writing a scientist as I'm leaving you many options to write characters who are entrepreneurs, journalists, ship crew members, or members of high-society.

I'm hoping for twelve competitors, but I'll open more spots if there's more interest than I anticipated. Reservations will open on April 5th at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
