An Announcement Regarding Votes
I am currently alerting everyone to a small but significant change in the way I will be handling eliminations in these Games. While reasonable, this rule is definitely atypical as far as Author Games go, and it only seems fair to alert you of this before eliminations begin.
From Task Two onward, I am implementing a Gamemaker Save. That means that, when tributes go up for votes, I reserve the right to select a single tribute and save them from voting. This tribute will be saved due to their performance on the Task in which they have been eliminated and for no other factor. Therefore, the number of tributes going up for votes in any given round will be:
Number of tributes eliminated this round + 2
If tributes in the bottom of the rankings fail to sufficiently impress me, I will not use the Gamemaker Save that round. I will not save a tribute with the Gamemaker Save more than twice.
To clarify, I will use the following example.
Four tributes are going to be eliminated in Round Pi of Author Games: Irrationality. Therefore, six go up for votes.
Percy Jackson
Harry Dresden
Toph
Hermione Granger
Bartimaeus
Black Widow
Harry Dresden and Toph both had particularly compelling entries this round, and I'm considering a save for one of them. However, Harry has already been saved twice in these Games, so that excludes him from my assistance. Therefore, Toph gets the save and the remaining five tributes go up for votes. Naturally, Black Widow wins.
If you have any questions about this rule, please ask me immediately. I hope my explanation has been clear.
