The Winner

It's been a very, very long run (almost six months, if you can believe it) and we're proud to finally reach the last chapter in Author Games: Nocturne. We want to thank everyone who stuck it out this far and for the amazing participation of all who joined. We honestly hope you had fun and that you will join us again for one of our next games. So, without further ado, we're ready to announce the winner.

WILD CARD

This spot goes to an amazing writer we were sad to see not make it into the finale. They've been a favorite from the beginning and they're story has filled us with horror and delight time and time again. Voted on by peers, this award goes to:

Kylar Knight

IN FOURTH PLACE

Bōluó "Pineapple" Wen

Panem_

An unusual addition to the games, Pineapple took all the judges by surprise from the moment we received his form but he quickly grew to be a favorite. He started off these games as a quirky, carefree young man and morphed into someone who kept us on the edge of our seats more than enough times.

And now, for the finalists...

IN THIRD PLACE

Jane Bruno

annie1loves1you

A police officer is the last person you'd expect to become a part of these games, but Jane Bruno proved herself to be the perfect addition time and time again. Surly and a bit snarky, her relationship with Eugene and her struggles within herself were beautifully mastered. Although her author is relatively new to the AG world, she performed wonderfully in our competition. Despite a few rocky entries towards the end, Jane was a wonderful competitor to read and her finale gave us shivers.

IN SECOND PLACE

Rasheen Perpetua

Rasheen Perpetua started these games as a boy of grace and left a boy of doubt. Clever and far ahead of his time, Rasheen was a character of great moral struggle and the symmetry between the start and end of every entry was wonderfully done. We admired his choice to stay on the run in the finale, leaving the remainder of his life uncertain and looking towards the future.

And that means the winner is:

IN FIRST PLACE

Zoe Katsaros

TheCatKing

From the beginning, Zoe Katsaros was a tough competitor. The amount of planning and dedication that went into her entries was absolutely phenomenal, combined with all the research that we could truly see shining through in every paragraph. The inclusion of the snake was far too brilliant for words, and each entry left us wanting more. We are proud to announce TheCatKing as the winner of Author Games: Nocturne!

.

Thank you to everyone who participated, you were all wonderful and we're so happy to have hosted another games for your enjoyment! Although these games were very relaxed and we had some bumps along the way, we're proud to label Nocturne as finally finished and we hope to see you all again for one of our future competitions!
