Appearance: Raiden has bright green eyes and blond hair. His skin is white- not so much that it looks abnormal, but not at all tan. Most of the time he wears a hoodie, which hides his shaggy hair and the smirk that's almost always on his face. He's tall- around six feet three inches, and wears casual clothes (which basically means that he just threw on the first thing he found).

Backstory: Raiden's earliest memory is learning dragon slaying magic with Ionean. After the dragons disappeared, he was taken in by a young couple in the country. He was only seven at the time, and spent a lot of time honing the skills Ionean taught him, despite how much his parents disliked his use of magic. Two years after Ionean disappeared, Raiden found an egg just as it was hatching. Out came a little female exceed, and once she saw him, she refused to go away. He was a little annoyed at first, but he warmed up to her, and eventually decided to name her Lexi. The two of them became inseparable, and life was great for a while. That is until he turned fifteen and came home one day to find his home destroyed and his parents dead. The only person there was a young woman who introduced herself as Ayame. He always suspected she did something to his memories then, because he couldn't remember for certain what happened after that. He just remembered being introduced to the master of Silent Phoenix- Reiko. She offered to let him join their guild, and he did so. After that, he gained much more experience in fighting and formed a team with Ayame and two others (Rex and Lilian) to go on jobs. Silent Phoenix isn't a well-known guild- they work under the radar for the most part, but they were there helping during the events of the grand magic games. They never actually participated, although they probably could have come in second at least if they did. Raiden was a bit irrated at the lost chance, but he didn't argue much when Reiko made the decision.

Personality: Raiden's a bit withdrawn, but once he opens up to you, you're friends for life. He'll forgive nearly any betrayal as long as he's the only one who got hurt by it. He keeps his feelings close to his chest, but if you know him well enough, you can see little things in his mannerisms that alert you to what's up. He takes a lot of things in stride, and tends to joke around a lot. He's extremely loyal, and would do anything to protect his friends and guildmates. He loves the outdoors, and spends a lot of time in the woods near the guild. He also loves junk food and listening to music. He walks around with lacrima-charged headphones on most of the time, playing various songs. Lexi is constantly reminding him to pay attention to his surroundings, because when he knows he's alone, he tends to lose himself in the music.

Magic: Sound Dragon Slayer- and yeah, he eats sound. It actually has different tastes depending on what the sound is. His favorite is music, but the sound of people laughing is also really good.

Weapon Of Choice: He doesn't carry a large weapon on him, since he can usually depend on his magic, but just in case something happens, he keeps a knife on him.

Strengths: His main strength his is magic power. Aside from that, when he's really trying, he has great powers of perception. He also has an amazing sense of hearing due to his magic, and he can cook.

Weaknesses: He can be too quick to forgive the people who hurt him at times, especially if they're friends. It can cause him to trust people who probably shouldn't be trusted. He also pushes himself to hard, and doesn't seem to know when to stop. He gets distracted easily, even in fights sometimes, and his mind tends to wander a lot. He runs into danger without much thought for his own safety all the time too, and gets injured a lot because of it.

Captured: He was on a job with Lexi. They'd gone with Rex, Lilian, and Ayame to take out a gang of criminals that had been stealing gold from banks in the city near the guild. Things were going fine until another guild showed up and citizens got involved. Lexi used up all of her magic power trying to evacuate the citizens, and Raiden had to carry her away from the battle. As he was preparing to hide her and go back to the others, he was bathed in a yellow light. The city disappeared, and he ended up in the middle of a jungle village, surrounded by a bunch of hunters. Whatever sent him to the jungle drained his magic power, and he didn't have a chance to fight back before they snatched Lexi and threw him into their jail.

Greatest Fear: That everyone he loves will leave him, just like Ionean did.

Insecurities: He believes he's weak (though he'd never admit that he thinks that), and that's why Ionean left. He's dedicated most of his time to growing stronger, but it's never enough.

Loved Ones: Lexi, of course, and Ayame, who is his best friend. Rex, Lilian, and Reiko, as well as the rest of the guild members. He considers all of them his family.
