Appearance: Her dark brown hair once fell down her back in waves, but now she keeps it cut short. She has her father's hazel eyes and her body is more muscular and thin than curvy. There's a scar on her left cheek from a target that almost escaped her. She usually wears looser outfits, preferring to avoid heavy armor that might restrict her movements. Her skin is tan and she's tall, mostly because she has such long legs.

Backstory: Malaya was the only daughter of the king and queen of Valenthia. She was born years after the rogue mages turned her half-brother into a statue, but her parents still harbored the fear that she might be targetted as well. Because of this, they send her to be protected by the other mages of Magginos. For the first eighteen years of her life, she was raised as a proper lady and groomed for court life, even after her parents died. She didn't take to it, well, though, and secretly hoped she would never have to return to court life. Her wish was granted, but not exactly the way she wanted it to be. Both of her parents died and Valenthia descended into chaos. Her life became more dangerous as people who wanted the throne began to search for any remaining royals. Fearing she might be discovered and assassins sent after her, she escaped Magginos in secret. To better hide her identity, she cut her hair, dressed as a man, and adopted the name Callum. She pretended to be an orphan and joined the bounty hunter guild run by Djorek. Since she'd taken to swordsmanship, despite protests from the mages, she already knew enough to protect herself. From there, she learned other things and began her career as a Bounty Hunter. She met a man named Phantom in her guild and the two of them became friends. She traveled with him on his contracts when Ser Vahn and some of the others began to contact him for help regularly, and was there to help him defeat Thoan. She was also there when Valenthia began to fall apart and an heir was sought, and almost told everyone who she was. Before she could, her half-brother was found. Relieved, she kept her secret and helped Phantom free the heir. Everything when wrong when her half-brother was freed, however. The statue needed someone to keep it stable and Phantom offered himself. She lost a good friend and that haunted her. If she'd told them who she was, maybe none of it would have happened. But it was too late and she was too afriad to speak up. Things in Valenthia were still crazy, so she continued in the bounty hunter guild as Callum.

Personality: She has a strong, stubborn spirit. Since she was a kid, she had everything she wanted, but it was never good enough. She doesn't like to be GIVEN things- she prefers to earn them. She was never the princess type. Being prim and proper didn't appeal to her and she preferred to learn to fight rather than learning to act like a lady. She's got an adventurous spirit and loves seeing new things, but she's cautious about things. Most of the time, she'll plan before she acts. When she got the chance to be free as Callum, she siezed it eagerly and slipped into the role almost naturally. Of course there were plenty of things she didn't know, but she's a quick learner and figured it out eventually. She's never had time for love or crushes. It would make things complicated, since everyone thinks she's a guy, so she just avoids it completely. Friendship is enough for her. She tends to stick to only one or two friends, to limit the chances that people will unravel her lies. She'll look for adventure if she's bored and lives life to the fullest as much as possible. She harbors many regrets and blames herself for Phantom's sacrifice, but she tries her best to move on and live on.

Magic/Powers: None. The mages wanted to teach her their magic, but she was more interested in swordplay.

Weapon Of Choice: Dual blades. They're quick and lighter than other swords.

Strengths: Her ability to fight with her blades. She's flexible and fast on her feet, so she can outmanuever opponents. Along with that, she knows a lot about Valenthia and how to rule a kingdom, since she's a royal. She's also good at imitating voices and acting (otherwise she would never have been able to pull off acting as Callum for nearly five years).

Weaknesses: Even after five years of acting as a guy, she still has to get herself out of a lot of awkward situations and she makes plenty of mistakes along the way. She's good with dual blades, but if you take that from her, she won't win in a hand-to-hand fight. She just doesn't have the strength. She has a tendancy to lose track of her lies after telling so many. Callum has at least three different backstories, maybe more.

Captured: She was pursuing a bounty through the Ashken territories when a portal sent her into a strange land and left her there.

Greatest Fear: She's terrified of being discovered and sent back to Valenthia to act as a royal. Her freedom means everything to her. Becoming Malaya once more would take away her freedom and put her in more danger.

Insecurities: Over the years, she's become more and more unsure about who she is. After spending so long under the guise of 'Callum the Bounty Hunter', she isn't sure who Malaya is anymore. There's a part of her that fears what might happen if she was ever forced to become Malaya again. She's terrified of losing herself completely, but also afriad of what her future would be like if she were Malaya. Callum has control of his life- Malaya is a princess who doesn't know what to do next.

Loved Ones: Her half-brother, though he doesn't know about her. She also has a few friends at the guild, but no one she's especially close to.

Token: A trinket that Phantom gave her when she saved his life. It's just a small jade carving that she keeps around her neck on a leather thong, but it's the only gift she ever got from someone she knew sincerely cared about her. Everyone else had their reasons for being around her- namely, so they could get something from her.
