Appearance: Demetriot has long black hair and violet eyes, with a tall build and serious look about him. He can look incredibly intimidating if he wants to. Around his left wrist he wears a leather cuff.

Backstory: When he was a baby, his mother arrived on the doorstep of the Shields family and gave him up in order to hide him from an organization that was tracking her. Later, when Demetriot was around thirteen years old, his new family, except for his little brother, Thomas, died in a house fire. Thomas and Demetriot escaped before the cops could throw them into foster care and Demetriot learned to steal. They lived on the streets for several years before Demetriot ran into Brikan Miles- a Secret Service agent. Well, to be more precise, Demetriot tried to steal from Brikan and got caught. Fortunately, the man decided Demetriot had potential and offered to give him some training. This eventually turned into Demetriot getting a job with the Secret Service, working for a man named Julius. He hadn't been working with the Secret Service for long before things went really wrong in the city. A group took over the government and Demetriot later uncovered that Julius was helping them. They developed a serum that allowed them to control people's minds, once injected, but it didn't work on Demetriot. Later, he found out that it was because of his shield powers, which kept his mind shielded. By the time he finally stopped Julius, he ended up getting shot. He survived, due to the healing abilities that the serum had given him- that part was still effective- but ended up faking his death so he could disappear and look into another group that had surfaced during the fight with Julius.

Personality: He can be kind of reckless at times and has a sarcastic nature that surfaces a lot when he's facing enemies. He cares about people and believes in protecting the innocent. If someone is attacking him, he'll kill them if he doesn't have any other choice, but it'll haunt him. He can be sweet at times, but it's usually an accident. He's not the subtle type when it comes to conversation- if he has something to say, he'll say it bluntly, to your face.

Magic/Powers: He has the ability to create and manipulate shields into whatever he can imagine. However, he can only create so many at a time, and that depends on the size of the shields he's creating as well. He later found out that his particular power was created due to the merging of two other powers- the ability to create shields, and the ability to manipulate matter.

Weapon Of Choice: He's flexible- he can kill you with his shields, a gun, hand to hand, or with knives.

Strengths: It's hard to kill someone who can create an impenetrable dome around himself. He's a good fighter and he does reasonably well coming up with strategies before rushing into things.

Weaknesses: His strategies tend to be pretty reckless at times, though. (For example, he once purposely got himself kidnapped so that he could uncover Julius's operation- though he didn't know Julius was running it at the time.) Also, when he uses his powers, due to the way he summons his shields, he gets headaches a lot. If his shields are attacked, it also gives him headaches. They fluxuate depending on the amount of force inflicted on his shield.

Captured: He'd found his way to the hideout- or at least, one known hideout- of the group that he'd been investigating. He was expecting people with powers, but instead he faced a bunch of strange creatures that grabbed him and dragged him through a portal, stranding him someplace he didn't recognize.

Greatest Fear: He's seen what the others who have powers like him have become- how much they hate normal people- and he fears he'll become like that too. Perhaps it's an irrational fear, but he can't shake the fear that he'll become indifferent to humanity and stop caring who lives or dies.

Insecurities: His birth-mother kept his twin sister and gave him up. He wouldn't change that, but he does wonder why she chose to leave him over his sister. He can't decide if she loved him more or less and it bothers him.

Loved Ones: His partner Alven is a good friend, his partner's sister is his fiance- but she doesn't know he's alive, and his little brother Thomas... who also doesn't know he's still alive. He's also got a twin sister and their birth-mother is still alive, but Demetriot isn't really sure how he feels about his mother yet.
