Appearance: He keeps his black hair in a long ponytail. His eyes are dark blue. He's a small guy, not much taller than five feet, but lithe. His skin is pale from spending so long imprisoned.

Backstory: Dai's father was part of the Shinsengumi and he trained with them ever since he could remember. When he was able to, he joined them and fought alongside the others. He watched as the others brought in Chizaru and took turns guarding her with the others. Slowly, he realized he'd fallen for her. But he was invisible to her- just another soldier- so he never said anything and determined to get over it. He didn't get to continue fighting with the Shinsengumi long, however, because he encountered the Unseelie. When he saw them, he thought they might be some strange new version of Rasetsu, but quickly learned otherwise when he attacked them. He managed to kill one of them before the others subdued him and dragged him through a strange portal and left him in a dungeon to rot. He didn't waste his time there- he trained as much as he could, plotting for when he could escape. He feared they would forget about him, but for whatever reason, they fed him well and left him alone for the most part. He never did figure out why.

Personality: He's a quiet guy who's fine with being in the background or being in a large group. He likes to make jokes and see others laugh. He's loyal to the Shinsengumi, even after spending a year trapped in another realm, and never gives up on what he believes in. He always devotes himself to acting honorably and following Bushido.

Magic/Powers: N/A

Weapon of Choice: He always preferred the sword, but being locked up without weapons has taught him to improvise.

Strengths: He had plenty of time in his cell to build up physical strength. He's also smart and has learned to take out rodents with small rocks, if that ever comes in handy.

Weaknesses: It's been so long since he held a sword that even he knows it would be difficult to fight well with it. He's not exactly good when it comes to telling people things. He also has a habit of pushing people away.

Captured: He was sitting in his cell one day when the guards came in and dragged him out. Without any explanation, he was tossed through a portal and left back in his own homeland. He thought he was free- until he found out that he was supposed to be dead in this timeline. Then a woman introduced herself as Midnight and informed him that he would have to come with her and her rather large team.

Greatest Fear: That he'll never be able to go home again.

Insecurities: His ability to fight means everything to him, so the fact that he hadn't been able to train with the sword for a year makes him wonder if he'll just be obsolete even if he does get back.

Loved Ones: He has a lot of friends in the Shinsengumi, but no family. He's also been in love with Chizaru for a while, but he hides it well and refuses to tell her.
